i am acutely allergic to grass pollen. we had our first pollen storm of the season the past two days. the insignia portable A/C unit got its first work since i purchased it...passed with flying colors! the first hot day of the year arrived with the pollen storm. the portable A/C unit also did very well keeping my entire apartment cool - and pollen free! this is my first portable A/C unit. i am very happy and relieved. it works at least as well - if not better - than my very excellent window A/C unit.

Not too bad for a small room as long as if you have a smaller fan along with it to help circulate the air due to the air conditioner only having a verticle up and down motion for air flow. Cools the room off very quickly. Love the auto timer and mulitiple fan speeds.

The price wasn't too bad and this works really well, we use it for our bedroom (a pretty decent size) and it cools within a few minutes. Noise isn't bad at all. Haven't ran into any issues yet

I purchased this unit a few days before the heatwave (real feel temp. Of more than 100 F) struck. It not only kept the room used in cool but also the small corridor and kitchen area and even on fan only mode it maintained a cool temp. The remote comes in handy as well.

This AC cools my 5th floor apartment perfectly! It truly saved my sanity in the very humid and awful physics of heat rising. The one downside is that it tends to be a bit noisy... To compensate, I do not use the cycle mode to avoid the cyclical clicking noise.

Works better than most air conditioners and keeps our bedroom nice and cool. After 5 years the hose comes off sometimes but easy to replace or we’ve just taped it. Will buy again

Great AC unit. Cools my 700 square foot room well in 90 plus degree weather. Only downside is it's a little noisy but nothing we didn't get use too.

I purchased this unit to augment the 13,500 BTU unit in my 30' RV. In Fl heat and humidity, it cools the bedroom where the main unit did not adequately do so. The compressor can buzz fairly loudly when running, but the key is to have it level; not always simple in an RV. It was a much simpler fit with side slider windows. I used a pair of sweat pants with the legs doubled over the exhaust hose and it suffices to insulate and quiet the exhaust process for now.

The unit itself is easy to set up and use. It goes blow cold air and works great.

For $279 this is not a bad buy. It's a lil loud but when your gaming you can't hear . It cools my 10x10 room very well. It's pretty chili .. ha!

Perfect for a small room but would be better if there was more movement side to side instead of just up and down for adjusting air flow. Still a great buy for the money.

I have a cape cod style home. This unit is used upstairs. Seems to be doing the trick. I have an issue draining the water, but other than that, I like it a lot.

PROs 1. It functions as I need it to 2. was easy to set up 3. was a reasonable price CONs 1. I have standard 36" window and the window adapter kit had to be trimmed by almost 6" to fit. I happened to have my hand saw in the next room so it was an easy fix for me. 2. The buttons on the remote are VERY small. Survivable problem. 3. The unit is moderately loud. Isn't much of a problem unless you're trying to have a conversation when it's set at "medium" or "high".

Does what it's supposed to. Only had it a short time so I can't speak about reliability. Price was good. Just hope they didn't swap out quality for price.

It's pretty easy to install. It cools a large room down well but it gets hot quickly as soon as you turn it off.
