Originally I ordered an opened box unit, but when I received it, I only got two window slides, and neither had a hole for the exhaust hose. I ended up having to exchange it for a new unit, because the parts weren't able to be ordered. The one I have now works nicely and I haven't had any issues since. It keeps the room very cool, and it only takes up about as much space as a small night stand.

Air vent hose is a little short for high window setting. I have it placed on the bed to get it closer to the window. Easy to set up. Works well and cools fast.

It saved me from suffering in 110 degree weather. I finally gave in and bought this air conditioner and although it is kind of loud it was worth the money. I was able to use it all summer long without it giving out on me. I will see if that remains true this season.

This is great for the small room. It cools ok but for the size and capacity, I expected the room to be much cooler. It does the job and setup was easy enough. I wish it came with 2 window attachments so it could be moved from the office to the bedroom without having to disassemble the window piece. It isnt easy to find the exact same window components so I ended up getting a 2nd unit for the bedroom. Even the insignia website didnt sell just the window components.

Got this for my son’s dorm room. It works well and keeps his room cool. It’s not too loud and it’s easy to install. No screws needed for the window part of it.

After decades of relying on fans for cooling, at age 56 I decided enough was enough and bought this wonderful device. It was easy to assemble and place in my horizontal-opening bedroom window, and no problem to operate. My dog and I have slept well since I put it in, and the white noise it generates is less intense than a fan, but with the lower temperature much more soothing. As long as it keeps working well, I’ll consider it a good investment!

I’m so happy with my purchase. After researching and reading reviews I found this one on sale at Best Buy for a great price. Delivered with 12 hours! Set up was easy. It’s made very nice and sturdy. My little place is nice and cool now.

I purchased this air conditioner for my living room. It works very well. It cooks the whole room and is nice and quiet. It is very easy to set up and operate.

4.5. Has extra features I'll probably never use but it does the job. Cooled a 12x13 bedroom fairly quickly. Not as cold as a honeywell unit I have, but more affordable and lighter

Saved my butt this summer! My apartment does't have AC and I just set this up in my room and it makes it so cool. It is a bit clunky but its pretty quite.

That first blast of cool cool air when you turn it on during a heatwave. Is complete nirvana. This works too good something I have a 400 sq studio and I have to shut it off some days because it gets to cold .Super easy to hook up plus It will shut itself off when it time to drain off the water just take the rubber plug out and let it drain so wat . No mess no fuss!

Omg I read a lot of the reviews in here and most of them wasn’t really good but I decided to buy it anyway and it’s amazing how cold it is and the noise is normal like every ac portable better than the old one that I have

I purchased these a few days before a weeks heatwave. The main AC in my apartment went out and replacement was 2 weeks out, with it being an upstairs apartment it was like being in an oven. I ordered these in a hurry just to have something 2 of them to be exact one for my room one for my daughters, the delivery was fast. They worked better then expected, saved our lifes lol. They dont draw alot of electricity and i can leave them on 24/7. And my power bill is way lower then I expected and the whole apartment stays cool so long the bedroom doors are left open. Very very happy with these.

This air conditioner is perfect for a bedroom. It cools the room fast and it has tons of settings and timers with the remote. The window installation parts included everything I needed. Make sure to maintain it and drain the water inside once in a while to prevent mold.

We purchased this new, in the store 5 days ago (June 5th 2022). First off, we're already considering returning it. After the 2nd day it started to not work properly. It won't turn on when it gets above the set temperature. It got up to around 80° yesterday and even though I had it set to 75°, it never turned on. As you can see from my pics I have it set to 73° right now. The actual unit shows that I have it set to 73° and the remote (pic of the remote lit up) shows that too. However, in the pic where the remote is not lit up you can see it's reflecting a current temperature in the room of 76°. I have turned it off and on again and unplugged it but it keeps happening. The only way to get it to work again is to lower or raise the temp setting and then set it back to what I actually want. That will kickstart it for a few hours before it does it again. Also, it doesn't want to close all the way when it's not running (but is turned on) and I don't know if that is the intended function or if that part is also not working properly. For the price we paid, we didn't expect to have issues within just a few days. If it's already messing up then we're not sure it's worth keeping it past the return period and being stuck with a janky, half working unit. Some positives which are why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1: It's not whisper quiet but it's also not insanely loud. We used to have a box fan in our window (standard fan, nothing fancy) and that on it's highest setting was actually louder than this. So, while it definitely isn't quiet, it's tolerable. Our 2.5 year old isn't scared of it which is a good sign lol Setup took about 20 mins and the controls are simple enough. We haven't had to drain it yet so I'm not sure how that will go but we're in UT where it's dry so that could be why it hasn't needed it yet. The wheels are very convenient even though it's heavy. I also like that it was easy to setup in our sideways sliding window. It should have come with extra plastic "bolts" though because they're pretty flimsy.
