Great little unit, keeps my bedroom cool during the summer. I turn it on a couple hours before bed and it cools the room down nicely. When its working on full blast there is a pretty loud vibrating compressor sound, but I think this is expected when the entire air conditioner is in the room with you as opposed to outside like a window unit. It's a little loud if it comes on while sleeping but I can usually sleep through it. I do wish I could dim the display, the lights are actually pretty bright when trying to sleep (so I covered it with a piece of cardboard to block the light). The remote is nice but I don't really use it. I notice that I need to set the temperature lower than desired to get it to cool down faster. Setup was pretty easy, it should fit most windows with the parts provided. This thing made it easy for me to sleep during the summer and I would recommend it to others.

Great product! Our central ac went out during a heatwave in the desert, so i bought this. It got quite cold even when it was 108 outside. It's louder than I'd like, but has great features. Easy setup, easy to use, works efficiently.

This 300 sq ft rated unit works very well to cool my 250 sq. ft. bedroom. This unit does require daily draining of water if humidity is high so here is what I did. Tip: The (short) included clear plastic hose is intended to be used with the lower drain; however, I saw a video where someone was able to connect it to the upper drain for continuous draining. You can push the hose into the middle of the garden hose connection and it will make a very secure connection. For me, this was a life save because both water drains work off gravity feed and the bottom drain is way too low for a permanent pan arrangement (like I now have). See my image below and good luck.

I've enjoyed my purchase so far. It was purchased at a high heat/humidity time of year for my upper level apartment and helped a great deal to keep it bearable during 90 degree weather. Other reviews complained of loud noise- which in my opinion isn't any louder than any other non-central air conditioning unit. I rely a lot on reviews and usually do a deep dive into something before I buy (regardless of the price tag). This has served it's purpose and has done exactly what it needed to. That being said, my only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that I'm not entirely sure how energy efficient it is, I kept this and my wall unit running and my electric bill did jump quite a bit. I like that it has a timer and comes with the window sealing vent. It is on the heavier side and I was worried about leakage so I took it upon myself to do the draining rather than waiting for the alert feature to go off. I was surprised how much moisture it picked up but was glad I didn't wait and risk ruining my flooring because I did see other reviewers mention that. I used a cookie sheet, untwisted the plug and tipped the machine after unplugging. When done, I sealed it back up and it was good to go again.

I cannot say enough good things about this! I got it before the most recent hurricane hit because I have MS and I cannot be in the heat (without AC) for long. So it’s imperative I have something reliable. Needed it for about 8 hours before power was restored and it impressively cooled our entire living room and dining room which are quite large combined. I’ve continued to use it now daily in my bedroom to help give me a better sleep environment without requiring me to run the whole AC as low. Let me tell you…it gets my room frosty cold to the point that the rest of the house at 74 degrees feels like the heat is on. I love it! Was easy to install. The only issue you may have is getting the seal to fill the gaps 100% but it gets it pretty darn close. This has been a life saver in many ways and I appreciate that it’s reliable, fairly quiet and gets it far colder than I could’ve hoped. Very happy!

This portable AC is worth the buy. After spending some time researching various air conditioner and different brands to see which would fit our needs for our home in coastal Georgia, we narrow down between this one and another brand that uses eco-friendly CFC free GREEN R-410A refrigerant and lead free RoHS compliant components. We decided on this one after comparing reviews and based on practicality, functionality, and price. We've been going through window AC for a few years. This portable AC works great at a great price. We have it setup in our living room and it cools the living room in less than an hour. We're able to cool up the whole 1st floor house when we have a fan set-up in the hallway to help move the cool air from the living room to the rest of the house. Our main concern is the possibility of off gassing (which is why we've been looking at the other eco-friendly brand) and if there's any toxicity being released in the air due to us having pet parakeets and hamsters. One thing I can definitely say after having this AC is that there's no off gassing, our pets are still alive and didn't seem to be showing any distress with having this AC in the same room. Pro: *no toxic offgassing (if you have pet birds or small pets) *cools room in less than an hour *can cool most area of the house if you have fans set-up to move the cool air to other areas *wheels makes it easy to move around if needed without lifting *clean & minimalist design Cons: *Loud (but doesn't seem to be bothering our parakeets while being in the same room)

Exceeds expectations. I have horizontal sliding windows, so conventional window AC units are not feasible. I initially thought the tube going out the window would be an eye sore, but simple curtains hide it wonderfully. Great performance, I have the hottest room in the house and I noticed a difference within 5 minutes of it running. 10/10 would recommend. Additionally, the remote is a great feature, there is a button that can be set to a perferred default temperature and fan speed

This thing cranks out cold air as soon as you turn it on. It kept our third floor bedroom chilly all summer long. I love having a remote (although it was a bit tricky to figure out). I love the swing setting- it's easy to direct the air where I want it to go. The biggest con is that it's pretty heavy. It's easy to store, though because the host clips right off and is easy to condense. Last but probably most important, the window fittings are stellar and extremely easy. I have oddly sized slider windows (hence not just buying a window unit), and the adjustable plastic parts included come with an adjustable pin, helpful adhesive foam, and extra foam to stuck in any remaining cracks. Oh! And I love that I can keep the screen in the window while this is installed.

I got this ac about 2 years ago and it works so good! its kept my house very cool and I havent had any issues with it. Id reccomend it to anybody looking for an ac that doesnt have full windows or even if you do! Its perfect I love it

We purchased this to help us through the increasing number of heat waves in an area where air conditioning is not regularly available in apartments/homes. It cools wonderfully for a room and the remote is a nice option for changing the settings in the middle of the night without having to get out of bed. Only complaints are: it's kind of pricy for only cooling one room; it's pretty noisy when running; the adapter to the window is not airtight so when you're not using it, it can get drafty; have to have an external basin or bucket to catch the water it draws out of the air as it cools - would be better if it had an internal pull out container.

Installed in minutes with the included window kit, and worked well to cool a living room that is about the recommended size. Has not needed draining, and only maintenance has been to clean the dust off the filter every week or two. Cycles fan/AC on and off without issue once the set temperature is reached. Noisy when fan is set to high, but a little better when fan is set to low. Easy to roll it around on the wheels that are installed on it. Good purchase.

This is easy to set up and cools very well. Best feature is that you can remove the setup and close the window easily when going away, or use the window when the temp is nice outside. I had it shipped to my front door, pulled the box apart there and rolled it into place. Couldn't be easier. Has remote which seems to work fine. Remote has thermostat and "follow me" feature which I believe operates the unit based on the temp at the remote. I'm using this to cool a large living room ~ 12x20, which has an attached room similar size, and with ceiling fans circulating, this cools that space effectively. I'd say noise level is average to better than average. But remember the unit is indoors so the noise is indoors too .

Love this AC. It was a decent price and it works really well in my apartment. I love that I can move it to different rooms and expand the window portion to fit different sizes of windows. I have a very small window in my office that gets incredibly hot during the day and I am able to use it in this window which no other AC units was able to do.

I ordered for store curbside pickup due to COVID. I had to borrow a van to pick it up because it does not fit in my car. It is a little heavy for me to move on my own, I had to get help. I mention this because when I got it unboxed the power button was not working but you could not tell by looking it was damaged. I did not set it up, my daughter did while I was at work and she could not power it on without the remote because of this. It had to either be a return or damaged at the factory as this was well boxed and protected, I can't see it being damaged in shipment due to this. It works fine with the remote but if anything ever happens to that remote ( i have 2 dogs who like to chew them) I am in trouble. I know I can set up an appointment to return it up until the 7th but getting it back to the store, back in the box, and borrowing another van or truck is my issue. Keep in mind that I have to make an appointment and the other issue is they have no other models to replace it so I would have to wait for a replacement (not in this heat, not happening). I can only get the van on Tuesdays and not until 5 pm, so by the time I get it, drive home load it up and head to BB they are closed (close at 6). So I am just going to live with it and see if at the end of summer I can fix the button myself, if not I will be protecting that remote like no other. If not for that button I would give it 5 stars because it cools my whole downstairs with the help of a fan to move the cool air from the small room to the larger. It cools my small office (this is the room I have it in), my kitchen (small sized) and living room (medium sized), I also run a large fan and a ceiling fan on reverse in my living room. It keeps it comfortable, we have no real options in the other 2 rooms to set up an AC so this is a good solution. This is my first portable air conditioner and I do like that I can move it from room to room. It also has a dehumidifier setting, I have not tried this but it is a nice feature to have. Please note that you can't tell my button is broken until you try to use it and nothing happens, mine had to be plugged in to know it did not function, so ask BB to check this for you so you do not lug it home like I did. Pros: -Tons of automated settings (like swing which moves to vent open and close to change direction of airflow) -Dehumidifier -Auto thermostat to set -Fan mode -Sleep mode -follow me (pretty cool feature, uses the remote to sense temp and sets the ac to that) -Super easy to set up and move, vent connects easily & it has wheels -Easy to clean filter Cons -A little bulky for tighter spaces (you need some room for the vent) - Power button was damaged -No filter indicator

When I bought this I was worried that I would have to pop out the screen of my window but nope! It's thin enough that it fits perfectly in the space of the window and absolutely love that the window connection is totally adjustable. Super easy to install this! Also I use this in my bedroom which is like 150sq ft and I cannot have it on too long it makes my room chilly very quickly which I actually love because there is a timer feature that I use almost everyday so I don't have to turn it on and off. One last note, yes it is noisy but if you're like me and are able to or like to fall asleep to the sounds of fans you probably won't mind it. Very glad I decided to buy this!

Love it! Easy to set up and the remote control is super convenient. Putting together the window brace for the hose is not difficult but one must pay attention to do it correctly. Everything fit together nicely and it made such a difference to turn it on and cool down my Studio quickly. I didn't realize that this unit also has a heat function which may come in handy someday. Overall I am very happy with this portable air conditioner from Best Buy. Also, ordering online and picking up the next day was super easy. Thank you! Lastly, please get vaccinated and wear a mask.

We purchased this air conditioner for our bedroom that is at the back of the house and doesn't get much cool air circulated into it. It has done a great job at keeping the space cool. The set up is easy. It does make a sound when running which isn't obnoxious, but if you're sensitive to noise, you may want to opt for something quieter. Both my husband and I adjusted to the sound just fine. I like that you can turn off the LED display lights located on the unit by using the remote. They are quite bright.

I love this unit. I recently moved into a small room temporarily in between buying a new home and with the room being over the garage, it gets quite warm in there from the heat rising through, even if the rest of the home is cooler. I got this to offset the cooling needs so my room mates weren't chilled out by the master system to meet my temperature needs. It cools my little room quite fast. I set it to 68 at night and it definitely keeps it cool. I wish the window insert was smaller, my windows are shorter in width, so I had to adjust it a bit, but it works. All in all I am very happy with the unit. Pros: Design is nice, very sleek and modern. I love that the top closes when turned off by itself. Remote is very nice. This is great for when in bed, I can adjust the settings on the fly. Haven't noticed it leak any condensation on the outside given how humid it has been in my area. Not sure if there is water build up in the unit or if it just pushed out the exhaust over time, but seems to be dry around the unit. I did have to tighten the drain plug in the back as out of the box it was a little loose. Cons: Unit is bigger than I thought it would be, it does take up some space. It is a chunky boy. Can be very loud as the sound it produces blocks out some sound frequencies emitted from the TV, so you have to increase the volume or use headphones to hear what you are watching with noise cancelling. With the fan, it isn't too much of an issue, but when the AC Compressor engages, it does add sound to the room that will muffle out sounds. So in my case, this might make it a nuisance if I increase my audio from my electronics, which I try to avoid at certain hours. Does what I bought it for. Keeps me cold during the hottest part of the day.
