    Fine, but legs too wide for our pullout swivel

    Except for the fact that I had to return this and a few other 32” models because the online specs don’t include the outside distance between the legs, once we put legs on we went ahead and (easily) set up the connection, and it was a nice tv. I would’ve kept it if it came on a stand like the one I was replacing. Only stand offered is on a Sony, not even handled by Best Buy, and double the price of most others. Salesman said lots of customers have the same complaint that the width of their tv table is less than the distance between the new legs. Legs attached with screws are used now instead of stands because the 32” TVs are too thin for a stand to be inserted, and now the underside is dedicated to the speakers. When I shopped in person with my measurements, there was ONE model that JUST fit on my tray, a little close for comfort, so we’re being very careful not to bump into it, or move the swivel too fast. In this case, online shopping didn’t make it easier to select, although if you ask a question online of a current owner they can measure the leg distance for you.

    Bad connect

    Set up TV,went to hook up cable cord to back. Took twenty minutes as the set up in back has a sideways post obstructed by plastic shroud instead of straight out the back. Could not tighten. Kept trying looked like it was. Tried to watch cable, all local channels flickered, not clear. Called up cable company to complain about service interruption. Service came out, changed my cable box. Still did the flickering. Serviceman found out loose connection on TV, that I had trouble with. He also worked on it for over thirty minutes. Finally found composite cables in truck and used them to hook up cable to tv to work. However he asked me how long I had the tv and if I had the receipt and what I paid. Yes I had receipt, a few days and $99. He said that was the reason for the price and I should return it. I am seriously thinking about it. The company has to seriously reconsider placement of the cable hookup so there can be a secure tight connection. The cable repairman was here two hours and changed the box--wasted time because of Insignia's poor design flaw.

    Fatal flaw dooms otherwise nice concept

    Love the Fire TV concept, especially voice operated volume and function control. But this unit has a serious software bug that keeps trying and failing a system software update. An endless loop of re-downloading the update burned through 10 Gb the first 12 hours it was on (it has a built in data monitor which you can activate). After wasting a day on calls back and forth with Amazon (which is where the on screen help menu sends you) I was told to exchange the apparently defective unit for a new one. But the replacement unit had the same endless loop of failed update downloads. If Amazon/Best Buy fixes this flaw I would be very happy with this TV. The Alexa integration is super cool and performance is otherwise quite good, especially at its low price.

    Great For The Price When On Sale

    This TV can be bought for under $90 on sale and then its a real bargain in my opinion. Pros: Good viewing angle, built-in Amazon Fire capability works well for streaming, much better than expected sound from speakers (actually have some bass response!) and 3 HDMI ports. Cons: No Blue Tooth (unfortunate omission) and the Amazon Fire system overlay and minimal featured "Fire Stick-type" remote is clunky if you just want to watch regular TV - requires more hunting around and clicking than it should. Would be much better if TV simply restarted directly to the same source/channel/service you were watching when you turned it off before, but you are starting from the Amazon home screen fresh each time. Also still trying to figure out how to get it to work with an older Dish Network DVR located in another room without needing two remotes. Dish remote can turn TV on/off and do volume but can't control Amazon functions, while Amazon remote can't control DVR at all.

I am glad to read it is working for your purposes. Regarding your cons, this TV has built-in bluetooth, you can reach the setup by navigating to HOME>SETTINGS>CONTROLLERS & BLUETOOTH DEVICES. If you want to reach the last input you were watching every single time you turn ON your TV, you must configure the power on settings, from the Home screen, navigate to SETTINGS>DISPLAY & SOUNDS>POWER ON, highlight the LAST INPUT option and then press ENTER/OK. About the Dish remote, due to the specific nature of the Fire TV features, there is no way to fully control this TV using any cable remote.Thank you for the awesome feedback, this help us to build better products for you.

    So Far, So Good

    This is our first smart TV. It's nice that I can connect it to my Amazon account and have access to purchases there and by proxy Movies Anywhere. In fact a great feature I discovered was that if you watch a movie on your Amazon list you can press the "Up" key on your remote and get X-Ray mode where it tells you the names of the actors in that scene and even the song playing in the background! However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. It took forever to get the antenna input to fill the screen and look normal. So some of the setup can be a pain, and I wish it would just go right to the TV or previous input when I turn it on. But instead I have to navigate the operating system menu to get to TV. Still it's a decent TV for the price and I'm happy with my purchase.

    Insignia Fire TV 32"

    Out of box setup was effortless. Logged in to Amazon account, got firmware update and paired to my Echo device in minutes. Labelled my HDMI and composite inputs and had immediate voice control over all aspects. The included remote was as good as or somewhat better than my previous 2nd gen voice remote so saw no reason to to pair. The preprogrammed app buttons I found to be too close to the Vol + Vol - but again just asked Alexa to change volume. Alexa seems to be able control all functions but cable since I'm stuck with Comcast which has not allowed Skill integration, pushing their Xfinity X1 platform exclusively. So far so good. Contrary to other reviews about the pulsating red power light, it doesn't appear to be a power error indication but simply seems to be in standby mode?

    Functional for young kids, Lag between video/audio

    We purchased this for the kids' game room and were initially happy thanks to the ease of install and setup. What we've found through use is that there is an obvious delay between audio and video when using streaming services (DirecTVNOW, Prime, and Netflix). There is also a lag with video when playing games through the Composite and Antenna inputs that makes the games unplayable. Seeing that those are the two things this system was purchased to do, I am not satisfied with my purchase. Wishing to return it, but Best Buy's site says I cannot since the return window closed on 12/30/2019. I guess the website has a typo? We will have to see what warranty options exist.

    Disappointed in OTA guide performance

    I purchased this because we use PS Vue and it works better on Fire vs. Roku, and I wanted to integrate Over-the-air (OTA) channels in the same guide, and potentially add a Recast later. Unfortinatety, it does not update the OTA channels in the guide until we select a station then return to the guide, then the programming will appear for that station and it’s affiliates (only). Until then, it says “Program information currently unavailable.” We also have an insignia Roku tv and the OTA guide works fine on it. Otherwise, the picture is good for the size and price point and the Fire software works just like the Fire stick - with the addition of OTA tv, but the performance of the OTA is disappointing vs. Roku. My recommendation against is based on features (Guide) not working as they should.

    Got this on sale for my son and it's working perfectly as expected. I've always had good experiences with Insignia products so I expect this TV to perform as well as all the other Insignia products I've purchased. The setup was quick and easy, and the picture quality is great at this price point. My son has been using it for his PS4 and Wii consoles and he is enjoying playing his video games much more now. I'm thinking of buying this TV for myself to use as a computer monitor since I watch a lot of streaming videos. Based on our experience with this TV so far I can definitely say I made the right decision to purchase another Insignia product.

Play Station 4 is a pretty powerful function, running it at 720p is sub-optimal and your son can have a better experience with this. Then this one can become your monitor.     So fast!

    I LOVE this t.v.! I bought it for my bedroom on Black Friday, and it is the perfect size. The picture is perfect - very sharp, perfect color, etc. When I turn it on and go to Netflix, it connects immediately. My older t.v., which is just from 2015, takes about a minute to connect to Netflix. So, this is a huge improvement. There's just no lag in this t.v. at all. The only downfall of this t.v. is that it is a dust magnet. Overnight, it was covered in dust, and even if I wipe it down every day it reappears the next day. I've never had this happen with anything before. I'm not sure if it's from the protective tape that was removed when I received it or what, but I wish I had left it on now!

    I picked this up for my daughter for her room. I wasn't looking for anything top of the line , just something with these exact options. The quality is bright and vibrant for a 720. The streaming with the fire tv is very nice as well. My only complaint is the Clunky Fire TV software that is loaded. It is slow and buggy. I know its not the TV because my fire stick is exactly the same. It is my hope that the software will continually be updated to fix the sluggishness. as far as Alexa, it is fine no problems and responds as expected. If I am in need of another unit. I also liked the welcome video and the setup was a snap. I would purchase another one of these.

    I purchased these TV's assuming that since they were geek squad certified they would work I didn't open them until about a month and a half later. 2 worked the other 2 didn't. And I was informed I couldn't return or exchange them. I've purchased alot from this company, and disappointed that they lied on description some were missing remotes and feet for the TV stand. They turned on but we're unusable since TV couldn't process remote entry. And the TV doesn't have button but power. I won't buy anymore open box products from BestBuy since they're descriptions are inaccurate. And the geek squad certification means nothing.

    Perfect TV for my daughter's room. We have several Amazon Fire TV devices around the house so we are overly familiar with the layout and interface. I was looking for something simple and affordable that would be an easy mount-to-the-wall project. This fit the bill perfectly. Also, this is my first NON-Samsung TV purchase dating all the way back to 2006! Took me awhile to feel comfortable turning the corner on that, but reading tons of others' helpful reviews on here and Amazon helped reassure me this TV would be a good bet. Great TV, great remote, seamless activity to get it out of the box, on the wall, hooked up to my network, and running. Good stuff Insignia, you've got a nice, easy, and affordable television here.

    You get what you pay for

    Good: Cheap. Nice picture. Built in Roku Bad: Cheap. Slow response time in menus. Randomly disconnects from WiFi. Bought this TV for the kids. For a cheap TV this delivers everything I need and then some. Good picture, but noticably not what you'd expect from a premium model. Love the built in Roku. Kids love the easy access to the input ports. Sounds isn't great, but paired with a small sound bar it's a non issue. The processing in menus is noticably slow. Not a big issue, but can be annoying when using on screen keyboard to search or enter usernames and passwords. There is also a tendency for the TV to lose connectivity to the WiFi. Powering off/on the TV doesn't fix it, you have to reboot the device through the settings menu.

    Somewhat misleading

    I bought this TV for my 78 year old mother who has trouble seeing remote control buttons. The Alexa voice remote feature looked very appealing and the box said that it could be used to switch between inputs. I believed this to mean that you can voice command the switch between cable and internet TV. I have not been able to get this to work. You can also not use the voice command to switch channels on cable. I have not been able to use the voice command to turn the TV on or off or to set the sleep timer. It seems to only be functional when I'm switching between apps. I've reached out to customer service several times and they've told me that this isn't possible. The box seemed misleading by stating that you could switch inputs with the Alexa feature.

    I got a great dealer new on the tv for under 100 from BB picked up in the store of theirs, but was disappointed in first the set up, despite me being very tech-savvy the build quality was awful when I tried to put the hdmi in from rocketfish(bb's brand) it did not go in despite it being universal,second I had to return and get the insignia HDMI cord. the Tv which I measured is 29'.something it barely reaches 32' despite the box and everywhere materials saying it's 32' and the mfg claims its more like 31'.Size,build quality all make me very disappointed,yes it has a talk to remote finds you anything,everything,but My 15 year Old Sony Bravia which is exactly 32' does the same and still going.

    Not OTA Friendly

    Bought this to replace an older Insignia because I wanted a Smart TV for the bedroom. First off you need an Amazon Account for the voice commands to work. Got that set up then had to install the You Tube app to get that working. All was well except the OTA. It constantly stops and starts. Last night I'm trying to watch the news and it kept jumping between the broadcast and commercial. Haven't been able to find any info on settings and you can't talk to anyone at Best Buy unless you pay them for a service deal. So it's going back. Definitely wouldn't recommend if you are a cable cutter like me and use an antennae.

    This TV very well may have been excellent - however, it was purchased for my brother to use while visiting. I set up the TV with no issues and it seemed to work just fine, however, there were connectivity issues with the streaming services, especially Hulu - which we didn't experience with the other TVs that had the streaming services "plugged into" them. The TV was also near our router/modem, so there wasn't a WiFi issue (we had a laptop is in the same room and had no issues). Needless to say, I wasn't going to keep an item that wasn't connecting, so back to the store it went. Maybe that's why they were on sale at the time? Who knows!

    Don't Bother

    I purchased this TV 3 days ago and have yet to be able to use it. I turned it on, went through the required setup, went to download the apps to the TV and it just stopped. Remote wouldn't work (apart from turning it ON/OFF), nothing from the TV just frozen. I have to power cycle the TV and wait about 10 mins to be able to use the TV again just for it to tell me that it can't be connected to the Internet. I went through the steps all over again, for it to do the very same thing. The TV picture is great, the sound is average, but the inconvenience of trying to use a SMART/FIRE TV that won't STAY CONNECTED to any network is just a hassle.

    Get this tv for bedroom on sale. It was easy to assemble and set up. After connecting to network and sign in on Amazom account tv downloads latest update. It is also easy to switch to regular tv channels choosing appropriate HDMI port where your cable box is connected. Switching channels on tv takes some time (5-10 sec), but watching Netflix or Amazon prime goes fast without delay like regular tv channels. Sound is good. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase.
