Very light, easy to move. Hardly puts out any heat

I bought this TV as a Christmas gift for my sister's bedroom. She had a large, bulky 28" Mitsubishi VHS&DVD combo TV. It put out a lot of heat and the picture was not very clear. This new INSIGNIA 32" TV was on sale (the BEST price anywhere, sorry Amazon) and I waited until the Saturday after Thanksgiving. No midnight madness Black Friday crowd shopping for me. I went into the store, the salesperson greeted me right away, Told him what I wanted, and he didn't try to upgrade me to a more expensive TV. This TV has just 2 HDMI connections. Also wanted a Blu-ray player with built-in WiFI, this Panasonic player was on sale also. Added some Dynex 4ft. HDMI cables and was out the door in half an hour. A perfect match for my budget. The home set-up with my DISH Satellite was a piece of cake. The Dish remote paired easily with the TV and the Blu-ray player connected with my home WiFi network in minutes.

Purchased this for my one year olds play room. She absolutely loves it! I am typically a samsung purchaser so buying an off brand was a stretch for me. After reading the reviews I decided to purchase it. I am so glad I did!! Very inexpensive and my daughter loves her Disney movies in her room now. The sound is great as well. I normally do not turn it louder than 13 or 14 and it still provides plenty of sound. Great product!

    Very basic

    Posted .

Got two of these on Black Friday for my kids' rooms. I didn't want to spend a lot of money it's for the kids to watch DVDs and guests if they need be. I plan on hooking up basic antenna to these later since it has a built in tuner. The picture quality is nice (so far I've only seen animated movies on the two I have), the speakers aren't the best quality but there isn't anything wrong with them for the little rooms we have them in. The weight is nice and light (wall mounts are on order for these). Set up was a snap and just took a couple minutes. The only trouble I had with these was in store at purchase. The location I went to had them marked $10 higher in store than online. But they price matched for me no problem. Overall I'd recommend these to anyone who needs/wants a tv but doesn't want to spend much.

    Great TV for Low Budgets!

I never bought nothing but "name brand TV's" until I got this. I needed a TV for the bedroom quickly so not a ton of money to spend. A couple people convinced me I'd be satisfied with a TV like this Insignia & I must say they were spot on!!! Mine is connected to DirecTv HiDef & the picture is great. Sure I can notice it's not as great as my "name brand" 55" tv in family room but for viewing in the bedroom I have yet to see a flaw. I am also a heavy viewer & watch all kinds of different things on this TV & wether it is an old Seinfeld rerun or a new TV show shown in the highest resolution this TV handles it just fine When reading reviews on internet before buying I notice some buyers complaining about the sound, all I can think is they must be very far away from the TV as I am 8 ft away & the sound is perfectly fine & plenty loud enough wether watching a normal TV show or listening to a music channel. This TV took about 10-15 minutes from box being opened to hooked up completely via HDMI as it is extremely simple. So to sum it all up, if you do not have a ton of money to blow on a TV for the bedroom or similar place, especially this time of year, then this TV in my opinion is as good as it gets for $200 & I will never have a problem buying a "cheap brand" again as I am very happy with this purchase.

I am an engineer for two museums. Over the past 4 years I have purchased over 40 LCD televisions for them. They ranged in screen size form 32 to 42 inches. They were all Insignia branded. All are used at least 10 hours 7 days a week. None have given me any problems. That is a very impressive showing for me!

There is no complains was very easy to hook up within in minutes. The volume on the tv is also great , making the sound great for my mom who is 70! The price fit what I had to spend.

I bought this tv when it was on sale for 180. I had an old vcr/tv in my room and I was ready to get a nice bedroom sized flat screen so I could also get a blu ray player and play my xbox 360 in hdmi. It was everything I wanted to be frank. I read some reviews because I was hesitant since a tv this size is usually more expensive on more recognizable brands. I was pleasantly surprised, the size was more than adequate, great for about 5-15 ft viewing range. Contrary to what the reviews said, the sound was actually not bad at all, and if you don't like it just buy some speakers or a sound system. There are two hdmi ports, an A/V port, HD A/V port, and obviously a cable port. The cable port shoots out from the back panel of the tv, so it can be a pain to have to connect cable that runs through your house into it, but with the new cable hookups it's not really a problem (they use a new material the attaches much more efficiently). I would definitely recommend this product if you are itching for a tv upgrade. However, wait until it's on sale because it is every so often. Side note: this tv obviously does not have the built in dvd player but I am under the impression that the 32" with the built in dvd player has 4 hdmi cables.

I set this TV up with my cable box. The set-up was easy since I followed the well written manual that is available for free download on the internet. I noticed that some people were complaining about this model since they did not read the manual. I have no problem with the sound volume. The color is excellent. Some of the people's complaints were the fault of their cable rather than the TV. When something goes wrong blame the proper source- the TV or Cable company.

I chose the Insignia due to the price and the picture quality. Some more expensive TVs I think are too glossy and colors are unrealistic. This one is not so glossy and has very realistic colors, especially skin tones. The sound is fine. It also has sufficient connections though I haven't used them all yet.

My wife had been begging for a wall mount TV in the kitchen, and i was about to insulate my attic, so i decided if I i was going to run new coax cable through the attic it was now or never. I had been staring at this unit for months wondering if I should just go with a Samsung for more money, as I'm a huge fan of Samsung. Well upon going to get my phone repaired at best buy's geek squad (water damage), I actually stumbled on an open box unit, it was the last one after they went on sale, it was a returned undamaged unit so i scored. They claimed the original purchaser said it was to small, turns out the actually stole the screws that are used for tabletop installation of the feet.... made no difference to me as it was being wall mounted. It serves its purpose as a kitchen tv for news in the AM and the food network it's very basic, but worth every penny, i wouldn't put this in my home theater or living room but it's great for a kitchen or bedroom where your not going to watch allot of movies or fast movement like sports (although it's convenient during halftime and beer runs to the kitchen... lol) And as is common in flat panels...poor tinny sound, this model in particular. And switching channels directly feed through coax is painfully slow especially between hd and sd digital and analog.

    good tv for the money

This is a very good quality TV for it’s price range. I was looking for a new flat screen to replace an old TV in an extra room of ours. This Insignia 32 inch screen was a good choice. Its only 720p and 60Hz but the picture quality is far better then what we had been viewing and the screen size is just right for the smaller room. I checked other websites and Best Buys really does seem to have the best prices. Best Buys makes looking for and purchasing a TV a fairly hassle free process. I looked on Best Buys website, compared the different models then checked to see if it was available at my local Best Buys. I was able to go to the store and picked it up the very same day. Once I got the TV home, it was also easy to set it up. We were viewing Netflix in minutes. I’m glad we bought it. I’d recommend it if anyone. Especially if they don’t want to pay a lot of money and are looking for an simple but good quality HD TV.

I have been buying the Insignia TVs for as long as they have been available and being in the Arcade/Amusement business a lot of the new arcade games today require the use of a flat screen TV and I've found the Insignia's to be among the best for everything we do.

It is great for viewing all type of tv shows and movies. Great for sport viewing also!!! The sound quality is good but a little short on the quality of the bass sound, you can get bass, but the tv does not get as loud as the old tv did when you really want to crank the volume! Has a hdmi plug to use for games which great when you have more than one player wanting to play along. I highly recommend this tv for watching and playing on.

This TV was bought as a replacement for my Grandma's 11 year+ old bulky, heavy Sony Wega (or Vega; I'm still not clear on the correct spelling). The Sony was starting to take forever to turn on so we bought this on sale for $179. It has better-- easier to understand, and more user-friendly features than the 32" Western Digital that we bought for her bedroom. Unlike the WD 32", this Insignia's settings stay the way you left them even after you power off the TV. This may seem like common sense but Western Digital TVs aspect ratio goes back to default after being turned off. Because of this TV, we ended up buying another Insignia 720. The other one was a 39". And that one is nice too. The remotes are nice, easy to read, and have fairly large print.

Bought the TV for tailgating at football games, Wanted something inexpensive as we would be moving it around a lot, just wanted a TV for watching pregame shows etc, while tailgating, not looking for great quality. Connected to an HDTV over the air antenna and was pleasantly surprised at the picture quality. The sound is not so great but overall a great deal for the money. As we are using the TV outdoors at football games the sound quality is probably much better indoors
