Good, not Great

Picture quality is good if viewed straight on. If you're seated more to the left or right, the picture starts to look more of a washed out white screen. Sound is fairly loud for a small TV. Didn't need to get a sound bar. Apple TV app loads up but can't sign in to my account. Just get a spinning gear that never stops no matter how many times I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. That was disappointing. The TV always boots up to the Fire TV screen. Would rather it just turn on and automatically go to my Directv box on HDMI 1 connection. As I have encountered with all FireTV products, internal memory is very limited. After I installed all my streaming apps I use, barely 1GB left open. This can become a problem during FIre TV OS updates. Not a complete surprise to me since most TV and streaming media hardware manufacturers cheap out on internal memory. Best Buy should indicate on its specs page exactly how much internal memory the TV has. I probably would have bought a different one and bought the stick Fire TV separately. It at least comes with 8GB of memory. Overall, it's a good TV for a kitchen or bedroom as a secondary TV with occasional use. But if you can fit a 40" or bigger TV in the room, just buy a 4K TV instead. It won't cost much more and you'll probably be happier.

Liked all the streaming and ease of use for a solid Amazon person. However, had to disconnect power once a month when it stopped responding, kept kicking me out of programs so I would have to search to get back into them, when internet was down it was very hard to switch to antenna which should be easy, Paramount Plus stopped working on it, and finally it died after only 2 years. Would not buy one again. Good thing I kept my rock solid older TV.

I love this smart TV. I get to stream and get rid of my cable company. The picture is great and wasn’t to hard to set up I even got 30 free days of Fubo which I love and is my choice for streaming.

Solid TV and value. Insignia does a decent job. This is not a top of the line product, but for the price and features, it's very nice. This is in our RV and it looks great.

I've really grown fond of the Insignia brand of Fire TVs. I'm totally committed to Amazon Fire products and using the Fire TVs makes it so easy to utilize the programming on Fire TV. This is the fourth Insignia Fire TV I have in the house, one for each of my 3 kid's bedrooms and one in the base for the treadmill. It just makes it so easy for anyone to watch any of the apps (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Vudu, Movies Anywhere, etc), and the picture is very nice. Plus, it's all over the wi-fi so no hardwiring to hook up. One other thing I like about the Insignia line is that you can connect bluetooth headphones (or speakers) and listen privately.

It was very easy to set up and get connected. It really is much smarter (and lighter) than my old one. Beautiful picture and great sound without any amplification needed.

This is my 2nd Insignia TV. The old one I bought in 2010 still works great, but I wanted to get another TV that was a little bigger and higher resolution (my other TV is 720ip).
One thing that is a pain is you MUST link your wifi to it to get it started. I would rather have not; reason being--I'm not a fan of Amazon Fire. I perfer Roku tenfold, so, hooked up my Roku box to this TV, along with my bluray & antenna (I cut the chord 12 years ago).
Speaking of using an antenna on this TV, it gets amazing reception. I have an indoor GE amplified antenna, which is the one I've ever used! I love classic TV, so mainly I just watch METV, LAFF & ANTENNATV. Its free TV & I love it!
When you hook up things via HDMI cables, you can name them on the screen (Example-HDMI1: Roku & HDMI2:Bluray).
There are many settings to choose to get how you want your picture to look by settings such as 'movie', 'standard', etc.
Audio is great with dts. I hooked up a sound bar to it via an audio out/headphone jack. The TV'S audio out is nice a LOUD!
One great thing about this TV is it does feature the inputs of RCA cables (the yellow one for video plus red & white for audio)--this seems to be missing on many newer TV models. This is great to have is you still would like to have a VCR connected to your TV.
One quirk was how tough it was to connect the foot stands. You have to tighten the screws for an eternity to finally get them nice and tight.
All in all I like it and provides me with what I wanted--a larger screen in full 1080HD! And the price is right, too!

Brought this TV for my son for Christmas and today we set up his TV. Set up was very simple and easy to do. Picture and brightness quality is great. Haven't checked out the sound quality yet. Was trying to activate the free subscriptions we got for purchasing the TV. Had no problem setting up and logging into Fubo TV, but the Apple TV app. WHAT A PAIN! We were able to go into the app no problem, but to log in. We were not able to. I figured it out on my own and found out the TV was not a compatible device for the Apple TV app. After spending 3 or more hours on the phone with Apple, Amazon, and Insignia, Apple was finally willing to fix this problem, but I have to wait for them to update their system to allow this TV to be a compatible device. Then I will have to wait for Insignia to get this update to update the TV. We will see how long this will take and if the problem is fixed. I gave a 3 star because of this problem and we haven't been able to test it out yet including haven't had the TV for long. I'll update in the future when we had the TV longer and more usage out of it.
