Easy to set up. Lots of great features. I was surprised how the TV scanned for over the air antenna channels and nailed it. You don't need a box converter to get antenna channels. It has the tuner you need built in for antenna TV.

Hi. We are very happy to read that you are having a great time with this unit. It's size is perfect for small rooms or as a bedroom TV. If you have an Alexa Echo Dot, is perfect for turning the TV off directly under the sheets before going to sleep. Charles V. - Insignia Support

My mother loves her Mother's Day gift. She has learned how to use Alexa voice activation and is beyond happy with this highlight. It's a perfect size for a bedroom. She says the color and volume are perfect. Mom's happy, I'm happy.

Great TV especially for the price. Great color, sound and you can even load your own programs on the firestick. The bonus was the Alexa dot that came with it. The perfect size for a bedroom.

I bought it almost a year ago so I am writing this review after a year of use. I have a bigger toshiba 55 in fire tv and i bought this smaller one for my guest bedroom. I immediately noticed how laggy it was compared to toshiba. The interface crashes randomly and navigation lags a lot and does not give a smooth experience. Also the remote is very flimsy compared to toshiba. Imo if you have to buy fire tv then buy toshiba and skip this one.

We purchased this item as a Christmas gift for my grandson as they moved into a new home. We have purchased a number of Insignia TV's and has always had great performance and quality and the price fits our budget.

Great picture,720P looks good on a screen this small, only problem is fire tv is kind of quirky at times. The set needs to be restarted at times because of freeze up of apps also it is kind of cumbersome to enlarge the picture.. should be on the settings menu to make it easier.

Thirty-two inch Insignia Fire Edition television. Easy to set up. Had more problems with getting Mediacom remote to work. My only complaint is that I have to reestablish the input mode each time television is started. The television wants to start on home.

Unbelievably lightweight! I took this tv to camp and I sync my phone to it to stream tv. It doesn't pick up on the internet by itself but I have to presume it's because of where our camp is. The picture is excellent. I'm very pleased with this tv.

Bought this for camper - no cable. Easy to set up with antenna, and hot spot on phone to use the Amazon Prime and Netflix accounts. Receive more channels on this through antenna than old "nonsmart" TV. Can scan channels on antenna.

This is not a Full HD, it's only 720P resolution but still it's a HD TV. I bought it for the Gym Room and so I don't need a 4K or 1080P and it solves the purpose. The quality is good for a normal HD TV and the fire TV edition makes it easy for downloading the Apps.

Bought as a bedroom television for our daughter. She loves everything about it. We walk mounted it with an articulated mount, lets her angle it as she wants. Will certainly keep this one in mind next time we need a smaller television.

Needed a basic smart tv for a guest bedroom and this one fit the bill nicely. Just wish Spectrum would get together with Roku and Amazon to allow their app on those platforms. They would gain customers. Hulu works great, though.

Recently moved and needed a TV to tide me over until I could get the rest of my stuff. Picked this one up for less than $100! With built in Fire TV capability I was up and streaming in minutes.

Disappointing streaming performance

I wanted a somewhat smaller smart TV for my home office so I can watch business news throughout the day. I'm much more familiar with and very much enjoy the Roku platform, but my home office doesn't get a good WiFi signal and none of the Roku TVs of this size have an ethernet port. I specifically purchased this Fire TV because the price was right, it was within the size I wanted, and most importantly it has an ethernet port.
For the size and price, I'm very happy with the audio and video quality, but I'm very disappointed with streaming performance. It seems soooo much slower than my Roku devices. For example: even with a wired internet connection, CNBC often takes over 45 seconds to launch and begin streaming, whereas all my Roku TVs take less than 5 seconds. And even with this wired connection, I still experience lagging and buffering. Supposedly, the Fire TV has Fast Ethernet, meaning it's ethernet port supports a maximum of 100 Mbps, but with overhead, one should expect about 70 Mbps. When performing a speed test using the Silk browser app and visiting speedtest.net, this TV with a wired connection only gets 30 Mbps download speed. My Roku Ultra when connected to that same exact ethernet cable gets 93 Mbps.
I'm not sure if I have a defective TV or what, but streaming performance, even with a wired connection to gigabit internet, is very very disappointing and this TV is being returned. I just don't know if I want to try a different model Fire TV; or go with a much larger Roku TV that does have an ethernet port; or get a Roku TV of the same size, which won't have ethernet, but then install a wireless access point in my home office.
I gave quality and value 3 stars because of my particular experience with my favorite business news apps. They all seem to take a very long time to launch and begin streaming, but other apps are very fast, so I have no idea what the problem is. Even though I'm much more familiar with the Roku platform and find the Fire TV a bit more awkward to navigate, I gave ease of use 5 stars because it's still easy to learn and use and has some features the Roku doesn't have.
