The only problem I had is that sometimes the remote does not respond. This issue can be resolved by downloading the fire TV remote app. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a small TV for kids or if you are living in a dorm.

Wide Stance “Footprint”

Though, if it’s not going to be wall mounted (my situation) I do have issue with the design of its “feet”. The fact that it has TWO feet is an unfortunate design oversight as you must have a base that is at least the width of the distance between the two feet. Was bummed to notice that detail right out of the box as the previous TV I’d been watching (roommate moved out & took the TV with them, naturally) had a single base/stand in the center, which worked very well for us. We were able to perch it on a small-ish, square-ish table which really took up very little space in my living room. Now I have to deal w/ a DIY makeshift set-up in order to accommodate this things wide stance “footprint” until I’m able to find a new base for it to sit on. Ideally I’d prefer to have it mounted on the wall, but my SO doesn’t like the idea for some reason.

Great TV for my garage

And the Fire version has much better layout and options than my other non-FireTV smart tv in my house. Comes preloaded with tons of apps (Netflix, Hulu, NFL, etc) and you can download tons more if need be. Live TV option works great too on my 2.5ghz wifi in the garage.
