Actually he saved up for it and bought it, but we picked it out. We chose it for the price point that it was on sale for. To be fair this is not a 4k, state of the art tv. It's actually not even a smart tv with Netflix and Prime software baked in. It is just a tv that accepts input signals in 1080 HD. Good enough for a kid! I hooked up an Apple TV, and he's off to the races with all of his favorite shows!

Insignia is getting better and better at making TVs. It feels like it doesn't weigh but a few pounds if you need to move it once in a while. The picture is very clear too.

I was hesitant to buy a store brand instead of one of the big names like Samsung or LG, but I'm so happy with my purchase. There is a great picture. Sound is good. I actually use it as a computer monitor too. I definitely recommend it. Save some money and get this great tv!
