Just over a year we purchased the tv. It worked well untill it didnt. My son came home from work expecting to play game system. He turned on his tv and the screen is black. It turns on, but the screen doesnt. We tried checking all the cables resetting the tv changing outlets. The screen shows no signs of life or light.

We're sorry to hear about the issue with your TV. It's disappointing when a product stops working unexpectedly. If it's just over a year old, it might still be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. We recommend reaching out to the manufacturer's customer support for assistance with troubleshooting or possibly arranging a repair or replacement under warranty. I give it a 3 star because it’s just a basic TV can’t streamline anything because it’s not a smart tv. But for the price it’s not too bad. I use it for my security cameras so can’t complain. Recommend if it’s for a kids room or security camera.

Just tried seting up my brand new out of the box tv. Used the batteries that came with the tv and rven tried new batteries. Turned on the TV. Remote doesn’t respond. The power button on the TV doesn’t help either. I can’t get pass the first screen of the set up without a working remote. The TV is unusable. DON’T BUY!

I ordered this TV for my disabled brother. He lives around 3 hours from me, so I had it delivered to him, plus he can not travel very far on his mobility scooter. He set up the TV & this is the picture. NOT acceptable. Hopefully Best Buy will replace & deliver the TV to him. I will write another review IF Best Buy does good on this situation.

For The Price, It Can't Be Beat!!

This is my favorite Christmas gift, hands down! I had an old 20" flat screen, tube-type Apex TV (CRT) wall-mounted in my home office. The picture was low-def, small and not easy-on-the-eyes. And the sound was terrible.
PROS:
This Insignia TV, at just a $99 sale price at Best Buy, is worth every cent, and a whole lot more! The picture is very good, especially considering it's just 720P. But, for its smaller 32" screen, 720P is quite acceptable. At factory mid settings, the picture seemed much too sharp, and too bluish. But lowering the sharpness and selecting the "warm" picture setting cured those issues.
The sound? Honestly, I am seriously impressed! It's a true stereo output. The sound is full, with no buzzing or vibrations from the speaker enclosures. There are menu adjustments for all audio functions. I increased the bass quite a bit, while reducing the treble just a little. It's not home theater sound, of course, but really is very decent.
This Insignia is 100% compatible with my Xfinity X1 account. The Xfinity remote is set to control all TV functions except the TV menu for picture and sound adjustments.
CONS:
When I first tested this TV it was near my TCL family room TV. When I turned it on with the remote, my TCL TV also turned on! I assumed the TCL and Insignia companies are related. Well, my TCL picture degrades a lot as you watch off-center. It shows loss of sharpness and contrast even when you're just a little off-center. I have it on a table swivel mount for that reason.
Well, guess what! This Insignia's picture quality degrades just as much as my TCL's when you view off-center. Related to TCL? Guess so! I mounted this TV on an articulated wall mount, so I can always watch on-center. It worked very well.
The off-center picture degradation (photo #2 & 3) is my one and only complaint, hence, 4 stars instead of 5.

I recently purchased two 32" Insignia LED TVs, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! The picture quality is fantastic, offering sharp, clear images and vibrant colors. Setting them up was a breeze, thanks to the user-friendly interface and detailed instructions. The sound quality is impressive, providing a rich audio experience without the need for external speakers. These TVs are perfect for my living room and bedroom, delivering exceptional performance at a great value. Highly recommend to anyone in need of reliable and affordable TVs!

Purchased because it has ZERO smart features and you cannot talk to the remote. The remote has a numeric keypad for dialing in over the air broadcasts. Picture is ok when viewing straight on. Can be adjusted so that skin tones appear natural and colors not over-saturated. Sound is ok for use in bedroom. Dialog is clear at low volume. More than enough brightness for the bedroom. Price is very low without having to endure even more advertising and data collection from smart hosts. Only real complaint is the remote keys are not backlit.

Older tech, but appreciated for some folks.

This was purchased for the bedroom. I appreciate that it has the older coax connector, composite audio (for us old folks that have video cameras still). It has two HDMI ports and digital audio out. There's also a USB connector (still haven't figured out a use for that). The color is great, Amazon movies are sharp on this model. Please note that this is only a 720p screen (as noted on the specs page). It's been great for what I use it for. The sound seems "louder" than my 4K tv (no sound bar on that one yet), but I'm sure it seems that way because of the smaller room.
My only "con" for this set is the stand. I miss the stands that are in the middle vs. these that are on the sides.

Stupid Cost Cuts!

The TV is almost perfect for our needs. Great picture, right size for our guest bedroom, light weight and easy to move and I especially like that the volume from the audio output can be configured to be controlled from the TV remote, or the audio system remote. Also, the sounds quality of the TV speakers is surprisingly acceptable!
However, 2 things really bug me me about this TV.
1. There are NO on/off or volume or channel changing buttons on the TV itself. If your remote dies or is lost, the TV is essentially a brick. I have not seen this on any TV before and really want to discourage Insignia and all manufacturers from making TVs omitting on-board controls.
2. The menu show useful options like adjusting Bass, Treble and balance, but they are not accessible!
Hence, the 3 star review.
