Certainly a must have in the Florida Summers with humidity big enough tank, not to have to empty it over and over during the day would definitely recommend in a very humid home for safety purposes pertaining to humidity levels

So far, so good. Works well but it is identical to a Toshiba dehumidifier that broke after a few years. I suspect this generic model is branded by many but the Insignia branded dehumidifier is the best value, Best Buy.

It’s quiet and efficient. Easy to use. Love it! Highly recommend.

My central aircon went out in mid June during this unusual heat wave. Our replacement won't happen until end of July. The humidity has been the challenge and quite unbearable. This product has been efficient and quiet in its operation. Compared to an old unit we have, it is leaps beyond in capability. At least with this dehumidifier, some drier air can be circulated. The bucket is easily emptied about 1.5 times a day. Being constantly on in the smart mode, the machine cylces the percentage level according to the environment and has not shown signs of overheating or decreased function like my old unit has.

Works great right out of the box. I bought 2 for a very large basement, and now the basement feels normal instead of damp. The run very quietly, which was a pleasant surprise! One I hooked up a hose to drain into sump. The other I empty once a day. I bought these on sale, and I believe they are a great value for the money.

This machine means business!! I have two other machines running that are comparable allegedly I am in my home and while both of those require me to MTM about once a day this machine requires me to be an at least three times a day if not four. It is a little large but you you get over that it’s super quiet and it works Fantastically

It’s been a super rainy year and for the first time our basement has been musty and icky. This nice little dehumidifier has done a great job at drying out the air and preventing mold. It’s simple and quiet and really easy to empty.

It has been over 1-one year of continuous operation at home with Houston, TX high humidity. This Insignia dehumidifier has been working non-stop all this time. Not a single failure. In most humid days, I had to remove the water tray twice. I have it installed in the main living room where the air circulates between the two stories. The permanent air circulation helps to the overall humidity control in the core of the house. Now, I want to purchase my second unit to help this little one out with the humidity.

Our basement has been a little...musky. We’ve had this running most days for a few weeks now and I can definitely tell the difference. Easy to order, delivered quickly and in great shape, got it unpacked and plugged in within minutes. We had an older dehumidifier in our previous home that was loud and it blew hot air. This one is very quiet in comparison and the fan blows room temp. Wish it came with the hose so I didn’t have to empty I, but we’re working on getting one.

Dehumidifier works great! Easy to use. Not sure how quiet it is since I’m rarely in the basement, but just in passing it seems much quieter than our previous one. Very sleek design looks good, but does make it more of a challenge to grab the bucket when emptying. Would recommend if you’re looking for a budget friendly option.

This dehumidifier is amazing. We had no idea we would be having to empty this st least daily snd sometimes twice a day. Don't waste your money on the small ones like we did. This is all you will need!

Now I understand why some reviews said it fills the bucket at first, but then produces no water. I believe that the coolant leaks a little from the time of purchase. The indicator shows the humidity goes down (from maybe 60 to 45), but the bucket hasn't filled more than ½ inch since the first month I owned it after days of having it shut off, and more days of running again. The fan runs for an eternity after the compressor shuts off, helping the electric bill increase and making me crazy with the continual noise. It should produce lots of water (like it did the first couple of weeks), as I live on the TX coast, with temps of 99.5° and dewpoint of 75°. At least you might say it is self-sufficient, because it must be recycling the water into the air and never makes me empty the bucket.

Bought this cautiously, not really expecting good results, but was surprised to see that after just 8 hours in a medium sized room, it collected a decent amount of water. The real problem was the fact that me, being unaware that dehumidifiers give off heat from the exhaust vent, couldn’t deal with the extra heat in 80 degree weather. If it weren’t for that, I would have kept it. Also, it gives off a buzzing sound kind of like an indoor ac unit.

Works really well...use accumilated water for flower beds and potted plants...

Has made such a difference in our damp basement!!!
