I purchased this to use in my garage, did not need anything too fancy but wanted something decent. I researched many tvs at many stores including online and for the price this tv cant be beat. I hooked up an antenna to it and get approximately 15 channels for free. Tv is mounted to a center beam for a solid mount.

The color shows great as well as the clarity of the picture. I haven't had any problems with it at all. I would definitely recommend this TV. If you're concerned about the price of a 40' TV this is a Great Deal!

The tv is fine for now. I needed a larger tv for my living rm. only drawback is the limited number of component plug-ins on the back.

Retired military families live with a tight budget. This was the right price for us. It works beautiful and has nice colors and a great screen. The only problem is; sometimes the screen shrinks with the switching from the programs to advertisement and always with the change from one channel to another and has to be adjusted with the Remote-control.

As soon as I hooked up the tv there was a black spot in the middle of the screen and a bunch of lines going across. I had asked the associate of i could open the tv at the store when I picked it up from a store order, he insured me that the tv was perfect. I will be returning asap

When I opened the box, it looked like something has spilled and spread across half of the inside of the screen. Took it back and did not get another to replace it.

I purchased this tv 3 years ago. The size is just right and the price was perfect. I was looking for a 32 inch but since I use a Roku I didn't need a smart tv. I was able to pick this set up for about the same price as a smart 32 inch.
Now I'm thinking of going from 39 to 49-50 inch. If Insigina made a ultra 4K it would be the first one on a very short list that I would look at.

I was shopping for a tv for my bedroom that had 3 hdmi inputs. Very hard to find on a tv this size. Was planning to get the 43 inch but when I viewed it beside the 39 inch in the store it looked too big to go on my dresser. I purchased the 39 inch instead, for $100 less. I could not be more pleased with my purchase. It has the 3 hdmi inputs I was looking for and an unexpectedly GREAT picture. This tv has a better picture than my much more expensive and larger tv in my living room. After a few adjustments to the picture settings the picture is much better than I would have expected. The first thing you need to do is go to the picture menu for each input and turn off the sharpness. It is set very high and makes the picture look very grainy and poor quality. It instantly makes the picture very clear and beautiful. This tv is very light weight and easy to install. Set-up only took minutes. Never bought this brand but I am very pleased with it. Highly recommend.

I wanted an inexpensive TV to replace a 13" TV in my garage. The sale price for this item was close enough to a 32" TV to make it viable. The primary use of the TV is to watch over-the-air broadcasts through the 75-ohm connection and rabbit ears. The high-definition broadcasts from network TV are fine for watching sports. As other reviewers have noted, the 480i broadcasts of older programs do not produce a good picture. The only way they will look good is to use a CRT TV or perhaps spend a lot more money. These programs were made for a different technology. Honestly, the picture quality does not have to be great if you're watching Little Joe or Hoss Cartwright, Mr. Ed, Matt Dillon, or Officers Reed and Malloy.
This is a 720p, 60 MHz TV, so it is not what I would use in the house. It works fine for a garage or patio. You do get pixelization on fast motion (which increases on the 480i broadcasts.)
I cannot comment on the quality of streamed broadcasts because I have a slow connection in the garage and have used an old laptop for Amazon streaming of old programs like Fractured Fairy Tales or Twilight Zones. The picture was adequate for those programs.
The pros are 1) price, 2) three (3) HDMI connections, 3) a headphone input that allows the connection of computer speakers, and 4) a fairly good picture on HD broadcasts.
The cons are 1) sluggish response from the remote control and 2) poor sound quality. I suggest attaching inexpensive 2.1 computer speakers.
My initial reaction to the picture quality of network HD broadcasts was not good; however, once I tweaked the settings (especially the back-light setting), the picture was fine.
All in all, I am more than satisfied with what I got for my money. The TV fulfills its intended purpose. I highly recommend it for a secondary TV if you buy it when it is on sale.
