Bought outgoing display
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No durability here, just bought, set up. As a display, problems should've already presented themselves by now. No remote, stands, etc. Did not need for my purpose---32" max cubbyhole. Had to go mountable to accommodate cubbyhole. At $82, a no brainer. "Fair" this tv is pristine

Am not satisfied with this tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t know open box meant one of the speakers wasn’t working. I literally have this tv at the highest volume and yet I can still barely hear this tv. What a disappointment. I really wish I hadn’t bought this tv. I wish there was a way to return it.

TV is good except...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review....I've had this tv for about 2 years, and the other day the menu screen started popping up on its own. This started happening more frequently until finally I couldn't get it to go away. I ruled out the remote as a problem, and when I researched it I found out this is a very common problem with insignia TVs. The physical buttons on the tv set (as opposed to the remote) were acting up. I took the tv apart, removed the circuit board for the tv buttons, cleaned them, and reinstalled. This fixed the problem for a couple days, but then the input menu started popping up and continuously scrolling. It would either do that, or the volume would crank up to 100 by itself. I opened the tv again and just disconnected the circuit board to the buttons. Now the TV works great, but it can only be operated with the remote. That's fine with me, I never used the buttons on the TV anyways. So if you buy an insignia TV (it's cheap and has a good picture, so I wouldn't advise against it), and this problem happens (which from what I've read, there's a decent chance it will after about 2 years), this is an easy free fix. This is the only problem I've had, other than that the tv is great. It's cheap, so remember you get what you pay for. If you're mechanically/electrically inclined, this is a non-problem and worth saving hundreds of dollars not buying a more expensive tv.

Awesome TV for a regular TV junkie!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV for my friend as a Christmas gift. She sits at home all day and watches TV on a very small screen. I thought this would be the perfect gift for her. She is not computer savvy so I swaped from the smart TV I was getting her, she would have been completely lost with a smart TV. Anyway, when she received this gift she was so shocked & amazed at the size. It was easy to put together & hook up. We connected it in no time. The color was great!!! She loves this TV and never leaves the spot. I really like it too although haven't really experienced it much!!! Great buy!!!

Very competent monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I rent audio visual equipment for a living. I move these types units around in their original packing and find them very road worthy. Despite their low cost in comparison to professional monitors I have used them with multiple major corporate customers with zero complaints. In the 20 units I’ve owned only one failed and was quickly replaced by the nearest store to my customers location. I can’t beat the light weight and simplicity to deploying these units. Very pleased and will continue buying this product!

39' tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good tv for the price. I'm completely happy with it. I had a bedroom rca 1080p tv that decided to stop working and wanted to find a replacement and didn't want to pay a lot. This one fit the bill. This one is a lot smaller but prefect for my bedroom. Very light easy to hook up and we'll worth the money. I'll be coming back to best buy another tv around tax time

Excellent value for a 720p no frills HDTV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was replacing an older 32" Toshiba in our bedroom and wanted something a little larger. Was able to purchase this 39" Insignia on sale and so far it functions just fine. Not a lot of inputs/outputs, but enough for our bedroom use. Had to adjust the color some to tone down the over-saturated skin tones. Picture looks very good considering the price point paid. Only negative is the poor sound volume and quality. But truthfully, I have not heard any current Flat-Panel HDTV's who's speakers provide anything more than something temporary to use until you connect a decent sound bar. In this case, I am using an older stereo receiver, with a pair of book shelf speakers, connected to the headphone out jack. Gets the job done just fine. Bottom Line: A decent entry level 720P HDTV considering the entry level price point, when used for a bedroom TV.

Great price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this brand in many apartment and the price is great. Good quality and you can get the Insignia without the "smart" tv and that makes it easier for average and older users. The larger size was a nice treat for a tenant.

Great picture at a small price - Very adjustable!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this set for the bedroom where it is rarely used - but I wanted something that 1) could be used for occasional use and 2) was narrow enough to fit in a 36" wide space in my armoire. Most 40" sets are a hair too wide, but this fits and was a major plus for me. While it is a 720P set the picture is actually quite sharp when using it for normal viewing. It may fall short as a computer monitor, but I am not using it for that. There are plenty of inputs, including enough HDMI for the BluRay player and a Fire TV and also analog audio output for headphones or basic powered speakers such as PC speakers for improved sound. However to my surprise, the sound is not bad in a small room. One key feature I like is the ability to adjust the video settings for each input including small details like aspect ratio and various fine tune settings such as noise reduction and the like. I have had many lower cost sets that did not have these settings to begin with, and when they were included they were going to be the same for all inputs. Here they can be memorized for each input.
