I’d say good overall washer at a decent price. Make sure to balance the clothes evenly in the washer or it might interrupt the wash cycle and show an error code. Use manual to locate meaning error codes to rectify the issue. Otherwise this machine works pretty well.

Overall, the machine is average, it cleans the clothes good enough, but needs human intervention in order to do so. Story time: After you load the washer, close the lid and press Start, it allegedly balances the load by a series of half turns of the agitator clockwise and counter-clockwise. It does this anywhere from 10-16 times. The result is all of the clothes, not some, I mean ALL of the clothes, are bunched up on one side of the agitator and all twisted together in almost a ball. I find it hard to believe that the load is now "balanced" and I also find it hard to believe that all the clothes in a twisted ball will result in a good washing of the clothes. So, when it's done doing it's thing, I press Pause, open the washer and fix the clothes so they are evenly loaded. I'm sure I'm going to read comments that tell me the washer is "supposed" to do that. Well, I don't believe it. Which brings me to my second issue. Once I evenly spread out the clothes, when I close the lid and press Start, I sometimes get a long continuous beep as if it doesn't appreciate the way I pressed Start. So, I have to press Pause and then press Start again. It doesn't do this all the time, but about half the time. My third issue is the length of time it takes to wash a load of clothes. This has ranged from around 45 to 80 minutes, with the average length being about 52 minutes. I talked to a worker at Best Buy who was nice enough, but definitely sounded like he was repeating something he heard from someone else when he told me "it depends on what settings you select (Normal, Heavy Duty, Bulky, or Light soil, Medium soil, Extra heavy, etc) and other things and that will affect the time of a wash." When I said the settings are always the same but the time displayed always varies, he said "yeah, well, without looking at it, there's no telling", which is basically the same as saying I have no clue how to operate my new washer. As I stated, the clothes come out fine and I can see that it definitely uses less water per load, so, that's a plus. But, the one hour time per load means on laundry day, it creates a back up because the dryer is drying faster than the washer is washing. I used to be able to go right from washer to dryer, start another wash load and when the first load is done in the dryer, the 2nd wash load is ready to go in the dryer and I can keep rolling. Now, it takes all day, so frustrating. Any energy and water savings I'd gladly trade back for faster wash time. I've tried every possible combination including tiniest load with lightest soil level and it still takes 45-80 minutes. Final downside, it didn't come with the house mount or screws (it came with one hose mount, the rest were missing) for the drain hose to attach to the back of the machine, so when it's draining the tub before and during rinse and spin cycles, the hose bangs against the back of the machine and wall. So, I went to hardware store and purchased something that works in order to keep the hose's curved end in the wall drain and also keep it from vibrating, which will ultimately will rub a hole in the plastic drain hose. Bottom line, the quality looks to be of good construction, it's easy to operate, energy efficient, quiet as can be and doesn't vibrate (I balanced a nickel on the glass lid during spin cycle). My mom has a name brand machine (can't remember, maybe Maytag) and the shape of the machine including the glass lid are the same and the control panel is IDENTICAL. All the controls are EXACTLY the same with the same words except hers says something like SmartSense instead of AutoSenseand she paid $799 while I paid like $549 for the Insignia name.

At the time of writing this review I've owned the washer for about 4 months and so far it has worked well. The main thing I don't like about it is how it swishes back and forth at the beginning of each load, which I believe is to determine how much water is needed for the load. You spend the time to put all your clothes in the evenly, and then it just moves it all to one side in a bundle. BUT I can say that it has never thrown the washer off balance. Most of the time I just wait until it's done doing that weirdness and open the lid and redistribute the clothes evenly, but I do also use the delay option sometimes so I have to assume it doesn't throw it off balance since my load will be done when I go to switch it. It does make me nervous though. Other than that, I like it. It has a lot of wash options and my clothes come out clean. I've seen a few reviews mentioning it doesn't clean their clothes? I'm not sure what's going on there, but I previously had a front load Samsung washer...which is what crapped the bed and led me to buying this one...and my clothes come out cleaner with the insignia. As of right now I would recommend this product, but if you're on the fence like I was, I would definitely get the warranty.

This machine is Best Buy’s brand and it rivals all the big name brands. The tub is very large, the machine is easy to navigate with plenty of extra wash features. It is quiet and the clothes come out smelling fresh and clean. I would buy this machine again even if I can afford a big name brand

I bought the Insignia 4.1 Cu. Ft. High Efficiency Top Load Washer about two weeks ago, and I’ve been really impressed so far. It was easy to install, runs quietly, and holds more laundry than I expected. The large drum fits bulky items like towels and blankets without a problem. I love the variety of wash settings — especially the quick wash and deep clean options. It’s also super efficient with water and doesn’t shake like crazy during the spin cycle. For the price, this washer feels like a steal. If you're looking for a reliable, budget-friendly washer that gets the job done and looks nice in your laundry room, I definitely recommend this one!

So far so good. There were no cosmetic damages. I like the washing machine but should of gotten one without a glass door. I guess I just wanted to look at my clothes was. This washing machine is quiet and it alerts you when the wash is over. There are many wash setting but I don't know what eco water is maybe its for a smart home when using eco water. The machine adds just enough water to the load. The tub is large but just don't over load the tub too much. You want the clothes to move freely so that you get a good wash.

The washer arrived today and was installed by the geek squad, and they did an awesome job installing and moving everything. They made it look easy and was done in less than 20 minutes. I did notice some dents in the bottom of the washer when it arrived, appears to be cosmetic only so no real issues there. I’m running its first cycle now and it’s quiet, sleek and far better than my previous one. Definitely worth getting through Best Buy and I’ll be shopping there again in the future.

After spending countless hours researching a replacement washing machine, I finally decided to go with this Insignia top load washer because of it's price and my past experience with Best Buy's customer service. The machine works as intended (cleans my cloths) and it's relatively quite. My only criticism is the lengthily wash cycles. The cycle times are different with every load because it decides how long it will take based off load weight and the soil level I indicate. It's not a problem for me, it's just something to be aware of. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an affordable replacement washing machine.

Really nice top load washer, I wanted something that did well as well as being within budget range. This fit both, so far no problems, works like a charm and smaller than my old washer which is a plus since it can get through doors much easier and have nice depth to wash clothes.

Love the washer as it holds a good amount of clothes and agitates really well. Great price and great reviews. I really enjoy the tub clean choice feature where you have to add 1 cup of bleach each month to keep it maintained. There are many other choices to for cleaning, but the tub clean was one we didn't have from our whirlpool, plus we went from a mechanical style washer to this digital display. Washers do make some noise but at least this one doesn't go crazy like my last washer and shake/tremble my floor.
