It works some of the time, but often I opened it up to find water all over. Cannot keep food in it. I had it replaced in September. Same problem happened immediately.

I followed all the directions and it still happened. When the freezer door was opened you could actually hear the sound of the frost forming. I would have given it zero stars if that were possible. Customer service was also extremely poor.

Only problem is that the refrigerant leaked out after only a week of use. The manufacturer added a foul smelling compound in the refrigerant lines so that users can easily detect a leak. The three occupants of the dorm where this item was installed all got sick from the leaking gas. The other problem is that the manufacturer did not warn of this condition in their user manual. Very Bad Form in my opinion. I give this item and the manufacturer and retailer a failing grade.

Contacted Insignia directly and spent 1.5 hours on the phone. They are now sending out a replacement unit but that was not coordinated well either and I have spent an additional hour on the phone. This is probably the last purchase I will make with Best Buy online and it is definitely the last Insignia product I will own....straight garbage

The ref is very heavy and after you take out from the box, there is no way to put it back. 2. The part inside of ref is broken!!

I love that it comes with top freezer and ice cube tray. It didn't take a lot of space. All I had to do was take it out of the box and plug, no tools needed. Works perfectly.
