This was damaged on the lower fron part of tge refrigerator. I would have exchanged it but it was such a hassle since I had already took it out of the box.
The shelving is challenging when using it with bottles because they are stable and fall over. Would not recommend purchase.

Received this as I wanted a small Fridge to have downstairs in the basement to store drinks and beverages for guests when they come over. It looks really clean and fits perfectly next to a wine/spirts rack we have near our entertainment area. It has tons of room for lots of snacks and drinks and the door can be reversed which is a huge plus, especially if you're trying to fit it in a specific area for a use like what we have. The stainless-steel finish on the outside looks clean and I like the overall look from the outside as it's clean/modern. In addition, it does run quiet and has an energy star rating so you don't have to worry about another vampire appliance that spikes your energy bill all year long.
I've purchased other Insignia branded items before and like those other things the quality is really quite good and I like that the branding is muted on it so it just looks clean/modern and can fit nicely into any room arrangement/configuration.
I'd definitely recommend this one if you're looking for one with enough capacity to actually hold a variety of things in addition to canned beverages. It would be perfect for a minibar (as we have set it up for), dorm room/apartment, or garage/sports den.

The Insignia 4.4 Cubic Foot fridge is a very good looking mini fridge. If you are looking for a mini fridge that can hold a lot of items to serve as a primary fridge in an office or as a secondary fridge to hold items cold for a party or special event, this is a good size to look at. The Insignia 4.4 cubic foot version is not a table top size fridge however, I suppose you could set it on a counter or a table, but it feels right at home on the floor. The Insignia comes with three shelves that can be easily removed. There are four different levels that the shelves can be placed on that work with larger or smaller items that you may want to keep cold. There is a very well laid out storage system on the door as well. It is excellent for canned drinks, bottled water and two shelves in the door for things like condiments and butter. The door can be switched to open to the left or the right so as to work in almost any location. This fridge is also energy star certified. The fridge is very attractive with its solid black body and stainless steel door and should compliment most modern kitchens. The only thing I wish I had given more thought to was the lack of a freezer. This mini fridge does not have a freezer section, which I really didn't think I would use anyway. But, now that I have it, I can think of several times when I could use a freezer, so something to consider. If you need a larger mini fridge and don't have any use for a small freezer, I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't want to give this unit a shot.

As far as mini fridges go, this one is a solid pickup. Because there are so many options on the market, it really comes down to personal preference on what you will be using it for. Outside of this, there are a few built in features that are nice to see implemented.
To start things off, it is packaged quite solidly and nothing was damaged from shipping. All of the glass components are properly protected and do not move at all. It is not heavy at all, and when it is completely empty, trying to open the door will actually move the fridge. That goes to show how well the seal is around the door. On the back, there is a drip tray for any water that can collect inside. On the medium setting, the temperature is around 40 degrees in the front, and there is some ice buildup on the back wall. The manual does warn against placing drinks along the back because it can freeze, but I have not seen that happen yet. As for noise level, this unit is barely audible, even when the compressor is running. While there are technically 4 shelves of storage, really it is 3.5 because the most bottom “shelf” is only half as the back half is sloped for water drainage. It would have been better to provide the option to slot in a full shelf on the most bottom layer, as you can find it to be a little cramped with the three adjustable shelves. If you want to fit tall drinks like a gallon jug, you are left with either leaving out one shelf, or having one very small shelf. One last thing to notice is that the door does not open flush. If you are planning on putting this in a tight space, you will need to account for the door to open to the right or left an extra 2 inches or so.
Overall, it is not a bad mini fridge. There are many things that can make this a very easy fridge to live with and low maintenance. Outside of a few personal preferences on storage options, it is solidly built and keeps things at a nice cold temperature.

I needed a small refrigerator for my upstairs that would hold drinks and overflow from the main refrigerator
I did not need a glass door, water or any of the fancy accessories that come with others. I also did not need a freezer
The Insignia being Best Buy’s brand fit my needs exactly
The box and unboxing is completely uneventful. Cut the strap and lift the box from the top
The refrigerator is not too heavy and I was able to move it by the straps upstairs myself, and position it in the final location out of the box
Plug in and it was the set temp in a few hours
The outside is a brushed steel and has a contemporary look to it that makes it nondescript in any room. Mine is in a workout room and it fits perfectly
I did not completely fill it at first, but a 1/2 gallon glass growler cooled quickly and fit on its side. I could probably stand it up if I removed a shelf
The bottom drawer is the usual pull out plastic but the shelves are tempered glass with a steel edge
I would guess that it can hold a couple of 24 pack cases on their side
Overall I am very happy with it since it fit all of my needs at a reasonable price
