This hub works for most of the general things you'd expect to connect to a PS4 Pro, and its pass-through "open disc tray" button works like a charm. As noted in other reviews, game drives cannot be connected to this hub, only directly to the console (so if you're using a PS4 plapro like I am, the game drive can be plugged into the 3rd usb on the back of the console). The only reason I didn't give the product a full five stars is because the usb hub doesn't stay firmly plugged into the system's usb ports, so the hub needs to be held steady when disconnecting plugs from it. (Not so bad though, really) With only one small and workable "problem" like this, I'd confidently say this hub is definitely the best buy for anyone needing a quick and effective hub for their PS4 Pro.

This item overall is a good find. It expands the USB ports by two. I wish it expanded more than two, though. It takes up the two USB ports on the system, and gives a total of four after that.

I have one of the first generation PS4s and it does increase the number of USB inputs. HOWEVER, it blocks the disc slot so be ready to put the disc in before installing this unit. And don't forget to remove it before ejecting. It doesn't charge the controllers when the PS4 is on rest mode so once again you'll have to remove it and use the regular ports for charging. The box says it's for the slim and Pro versions. I knew that when I bought it but all this would have been solved had they put in another input jack in the rear of the box. So I give it 3 out of 5.

It is a good way to add extra ports to your PS4 Pro, but maybe not for wired controllers. I noticed an issue when I played with at wired unit, but it could have just been my controller.

Since PS4 only has 2 USB ports, this is a must have specially if you have the VR. Unfortunately external hard drives can not connect through it.

Bought this when it was on sale for $4.99. Mainly got it because I thought I would be able to use my extended hard drive also. It does NOT read the extended hard drive. Very misleading when description says “ Converts 2 existing USB port to 4 ports. For additional USB functionality.” I also have no issue with ejecting disc on my PS4 Slim. I guess people with the original PS4 have issues. It’s not worth $14.99 but for $4.99 why not?

Needed to add more ports to my PS4 and this did the trick. Note: you cannot use this to plug in an external hard drive. Use a primary port for that

This multi usb it’s great but not the best if you have a regular ps4 because it will get in the way of the disk tray meaning you will have to remove it every time you want to switch games. But other than that it works fantastically

I got this for $5 on sale and am not sure if it was worth it or not. It looks nice and blends in really well with my PS4 Pro. It works great to charge my controllers, but when I plug my Sony Gold headset dongle into it I constantly drop my connection. My PSVR already takes up my rear usb so I can’t put the dongle back there. So when I know I’ll be using my headset I wind up removing the usb hub, which is pretty annoying

This Insignia 4 port high speed USB hub works great with PS4 and it’s only sold at Best Buy. It transmits and charges multiple devices.

Works great and would recommend to anyone looking to expand the USB slots on their PS4. Only concern is it does not allow portable storage device to run through, which means you can only expand one of the two USB slots.

To charge all devices and such, great to have multiple USB ports to connect in. It is also adjustable in the back to plug into your device.

this is not compatable with the original ps4, only the slim and pro. found that out the hard way and had to return

Bought this to give me more ports, but if you connect this u can't use and external hard drive so I returned it.

Does what it says. The bummer was that it doesnt fit my Star Wars version of the PS4 without getting into the way of the disc ejection. My bad i guess, altho i love that it lets you change its pins to fit slim or pros.

the product worked fine but now i just have to buy more controllers. this usb hub works fine for the two controllers i do have. got on a deal of the day for ten dollars.

If you need extra USB ports, this does the job well. Be advised it will stick out pretty far on the unit, but looks Ok. Eject still works Ok with the built in button.

I got this for my Ps4 Pro because if you have an external HDD and the Playstation Platinum headset, the Platinum headset WILL NOT work if you have your PS4 Pro in sleep mode. You ha e to plug and unplug it to get it to work. But if you get this you can plug your external to USB port in the back and plug your headset into this hub and the headset will always work when you bring the Ps4 out of sleep mode.

It works fine with a PS4Slim and does provide two additional USB3 ports for PS4Pro/Slim, but it takes up both ports of the PS4Pro/Slim. So, net gain of 2 ports. If you want/need more than a total of 4 USB3 ports, look into another hub. I didn't read carefully enough and bought this intending it for a PS4, and I can sort of get it to work on it, but it's not secure. It also works if connected to 2 USB ports of a computer, but that's a little kludgey. So it was a personal lesson to read more carefully.

I have a PS4 pro and decides to buy this because my USB flash drive couldn't plug in all the way because of the ps4s design. Anyway this allows the ports to be flush and make connecting USB easier. I typically leave 1 cable in at all times to charge my controllers. Now I can charge up to 4 at the same time on the system. I give it 5 stars because I really like the disc eject button on the USB hub. So convenient! All 4 ports are USB 3.0 so your files will transfer quickly only external storage. At this price, it's a no brainier and a must have
