This switch is exactly what I needed! It allows me to plug in all my usb peripherals and switch effortlessly from my work macbook to my gaming PC. The switch button does stick or need to be pressed twice from time to time, but it's so wonderful to be able to just press a button and switch from work to play without all the hassle of moving plugs around.

I needed a USB hub to connect to both my computer and PlayStation without having to unplug each device and it does just that. This can cause some of my devices to stay on even when not plugged in (my device's voltage draw is too high for my laptop to handle so I need to have it plugged in), my only complaint is that it doesn't have a power button for that issue.

Insignia 4 port USB 3.0 Hub

Hard to make work but well worth it in the end. This device gave me major headaches to get to work with the desktop I have, but I found out that you can only realistically plug in two external hard drives before it starts glitching out. Aside from that though, it has very fast speeds of transfer when you're transferring between devices. Good option if you need a cheap, reliable, USB hub.

Double Input to Help Two Computers

As USB ports begin to vanish from laptops, along with peripheral devices like DVD/CD players, and the need for external hard drives increases sooner or later you may find your self needing a USB hub. This one is the smallest I have and it travels in the house with my older laptop that I use school and research when not at my office. It provides me with four USB A connections and has two USB A connection cables. The reason for two is that you actually have the ability to hook up one computer or two at the same time--there are two rear USB plugs for this. Selection for which device you wish to have communicate with the four inputs is made by a "1" "2" button on top. This lets you share the block between two devices with a simple button push.
For my needs I actually used a short 9" cable to the "1" connector so I would have it more compact on my carry tray. Between my fan base, mouse dongle, light, and thumdrives I am almost full. So far I have had no issues with it and it gives me just enough extra USB slots at a good price.

Just plug in your 2 computers and components (in my case were keyboard, mouse, and a set of microphone/speakers) then switch with just a button. Clutch for working from home with a personal set up and a work laptop.

I use this to swap between my work computer and home desktop so I don’t have to use two keyboards and mice. Very convenient and does not require a separate power supply although it does have a port for an optional power supply.

Very impressed with the product. Although I did not need to switch between two input devices, I can imagine how that can be a very useful thing.
I am using it standalone with my Type-C monitor. I have connected it behind the monitor and connected all my Bluetooth and wired devices to it.
So far did not have any issues at all.

Perfect for sharing peripherals between two PC's

I have two PC's (one for work, one person) but only one monitor. For the longest time I used two keyboards and two mice. I decided enough of that and looked for a small USB hub that can switch between two sources.
So far this Hub has been wonderful with no issues whatsoever. The switch time is pretty quick and supports up to 4 shared devices. I have a keyboard, mouse and camera attached. It's pretty small and is easily hidden.
There is one word of caution though. This does NOT come with a power cable. It DOES require power. And the power input is a USB-C connection! So you'll need to connect a USB-C cable to some sort of external power source.
Other than that, this things great!

Very difficult to remove nano receiver

Does exactly what I need and is unobtrusive (once mounted under my desk, anyway). However, it *hates* the nano receiver for my Microsoft Sculpt wireless keyboard. That plug is difficult to insert and near impossible to remove. Which is really unfortunate since nearly every time I switch to my Macbook, I have to remove and reinsert the nano receiver (probably a macOS problem).

Sometimes it is slower to switch, but it rewlly works quite well and i hook it up to two Kensington docks to switch my keyboard, mouse, camera, dynamic Mic, and security key. I use a small powered hub for thr addition ports. Always works, had it about 3 months now.

Excellent, solid build quality. The quality is better and price is lower compare to similar items on Amazon.
Simply push a button, switch the same set of keyboard & mouse, usb speaker between work and private laptops.
Potential improvements:
Two tiny blue lights indicate which laptop is connected, I wish their colors could be different.

Bought this item along with the Best Buy essentials ISB to HDMI adapter to hook up a 2nd monitor. They both work great. Also, comes in handy since the number of USB ports are limited on the laptop it comes in handy. Helps to transfer large files fast.

I recently installed this USB port which connects to both my work and personal computer. I insert the USB dongle for my keyboard and mouse into the USB port and use the switch button on the port to transfer the mouse and keyboard between computers. Everything I expected!
