I like this 10-ft USB-C to USB-C braided charging cable. I needed to replace a shorter cable I had, and really appreciate the extra length of this new one. It seems durable, and it comes with a silicone strap to wrap the cord together if you don't need the full length.

This cable is very long in length. It works great for what I need it for. It is very durable because of the braided material the cord is made out of on the exterior. It is also compatible for fast charging a Samsung Galaxy cell phone and is also equipped with a cable wrap.

Had issues with another cable, wouldn’t charge sometimes and then other times it would. When the old cable did charge my iPad, it took most of the day. The new cable has not failed to charge once and it now takes a few hours at most to fully charge.

This Insignia brand cable manages to be of excellent value while also being of excellent quality. The braided jacket design feels sturdy enough for most applications. It is rated as being able to withstand up to 15,000 bends. I chose the 4 foot cable length because that works well for what I am using it for, which is power delivery to a docking station. It is capable of data transfer as well as power delivery. I used it for both applications, and can confirm that both features work. It is rated at up to 60W for power delivery, which is sufficient to charge most non-gaming laptops. It will also charge any other device that uses USB-C. This cable is USB 2.0 rated making it capable of data transfer of up to 480 Mbps. Faster cables are available so if data transfer speed is important to you, then a faster, and more expensive, USB 3.0 cable will be a better choice. I highly recommend this cable. Insignia is a brand that offers great performance at affordable prices. This cable works well and feels very well built. I am expecting many years of trouble free use.

Good Quality Cable - Seems Durable

As far as power cables go, I typically look for a brand or supplier that I trust. I have several 100W rated USB-C cables from Insignia and Monoprice that have held up well for over a year of use. I also have several Insignia USB-C PD chargers in my house that have worked great for many months, so I feel trusting of their products. This particular cable is a 4’ USB-C to USB-C 60W rated cable. It carries a USB 2.0 speed rating of 480Mb/s (60MB/s), so it’s certainly not the fastest cable for data transfers. Power delivery is my main concern and the 60W rating is plenty for anything short of a full laptop charging solution. This cable is plenty for phone and tablet charging – I think my highest rated charger is 45W, which I use for my big Samsung tablet. What I liked about this cable is the flexibility and the durability of the woven cable sheath. The flexibility allows the cable to roll up nicely when its not needed. The cable weave is also lightweight enough to not impede usage of a plugged-in device. You barely feel tethered to it, unlike my heavier 100W cables. The molded USB-C head has a nice rubber boot for cable strain relief, and it looks up the task protecting the cable from breakage/shorts at the head. The cable also comes with a silicone/rubber cable wrap that is permanently affixed to the cable, but it can slide around. The wrap was really handy for tossing the cable in my work bag, since I didn’t need to track down a Velcro wrap first. Checking performance on the cable I hooked up an external drive to my PC. I usually use a 3.2 (5Gb/s or 625 MB/s) cable for the drive due to the write speeds, so using this cable should cut into the data rate. What I found was pretty typical of a 2.0 connection – sustained read speeds hovering around 32MB/s and write at 28 MB/s. With speeds like this it would only be useful for moving some pictures off my phone to my PC – nothing really speed intensive. Why might you want this cable over the faster 3.2 cables? For starters the 3.2 cables are usually a little more expensive. They also tend to be heavier/bulkier than 2.0 cables. So, if your main goal is to get a cable to charge your device as its primary purpose then it makes sense to snag a 2.0 cable. This cable is a good choice as it has a high power rating that surpasses the needs of any phone, and most (if not all) tablets.

Fast to Charge - Slow to Transfer

The Insignia 4’ USB-C to USB-C cable is a good addition to my collection of charging cables. I was able to test this Charge-and-Sync cable and found it’s a great fast charging cable, but not exactly a quick data transfer solution. If you’re mainly looking for a charging cable, this 60W cable is a great choice because it supports fast charging, it’s lightweight, the braided jacket makes it chic and durable, and it comes with an attached tie strap for portability and organization. To give you an idea of charging speed, this cable charged my Google Pixel 7 and 8 phones by 0.7% to 1.1% per minute. I got this result range when fast charging was enabled. I conducted some data transfers on both PC and Mac systems between two drives by replacing the USB-C cable on one of the storage devices. I transferred 15GB between a Crucial SSD (USB-C connection) and a Western Digital hard drive. I found that the Crucial SSD’s proprietary 3.0 USB cable was up to 6 times faster than the Insignia cable which has a 2.0 speed rating. The Insignia cable reached up to 42.5 MB/s in comparison to the SSD’s 3.0 cable that reached up to 324 MB/s. This major difference in transfer time is important for someone like me who works with batches of data up to 100GB at a time. Speaking practically, I usually prefer 10’ cables for maximum location flexibility, but this 4’ cable works just as well at my office desk station. The cable itself is lightweight and the connectors are slim enough to fit on my phone without having to remove the case as advertised. I have a few braided cables and I do find that feature to be durable and long lasting so I expect the same of this Insignia cable. Overall, I would recommend this cable for charging phones and tablets, but I don’t recommend it for large data transfers.

    High-quality cable goes the distance

This high-quality USB-C cable is longer than most at 10 feet long, supports fast charging speeds at up to 60W, and allows up to full USB-2 data transfer speeds at up to 480Mbs. Depending on your charging and/or data transfer needs, this cable will meet or exceed them. Just be sure to compare the specs of the cable with your specific device’s capabilities so you get the speeds and power you need while using it. Pros: * Long cable reaches much further than most pack-in cables that are 1m (3 feet). * High-quality braided cable. * Slim metal overmolding. * Nice rubber cable tie that remains attached when not in use. * Supports up to 60W of charging power. * Supports up to 480Mbps of data transfer speed. Cons: * No cons- just be aware of the specs for the devices you’ll use it with. Not all USB-C cables are appropriate for every use. USB-C cables have maximum ratings that support certain levels of charging power and data transfer speeds. To ensure that your cable meets your device’s maximum requirements, you need to know what’s what. For example, this cable supports high-speed charging at up to 60W when connected to a suitable power source and a device that can accept at least that much power. It also supports data transfer speeds up to 480Mbs (USB-2) speeds between devices that also accept such speeds. That’s not to say that any device used with this cable will charge at the full 60W, etc… It all depends on what stuff you’re connecting with the cable. Like many, I recently upgraded to an iPhone 15 Pro series phone that now has USB-C. An iPhone 15 Pro will charge up at a max of around 20W when the power is supplied by a charger that puts out at least 20W. This cable will support the maximum charging rate of this phone (20W) when plugged in to a suitable power adapter but won’t charge at the full 60W with this cable no matter how big a USB power adapter is connected. The same phone can transfer data at up to 10Gbps but this cable is rated only up to 480Mbs (about 1/20th of the max speed possible with a faster cable), so you’ll be limited to the same slower 480Mbs speed the older iPhones had. So for use with an iPhone 15 Pro series phone, this cable is overkill but will work fine for charging at max speed but you won’t see the faster data transfers that the phone is capable of. Depending on your needs, this may be enough. In fact, if you’re going to use this cable mostly for charging, the cable’s 60W max rating will charge most devices really quickly. For devices that don’t need power greater than 60W or speeds faster than 480Mbs, this cable will be more than great. Just be aware of the speeds and power needs of what you plug in to make sure that any cable does what you need. This one is a really nice, high-quality cable for anything that it supports.

Perfect Charging Cord for Desk or Car

So glad to see the industry moving towards the USB-C standard, I'm looking at your Apple! I chose this cable based on the shorter length of 4' as it's perfect for using at my desk and particularly in the car where a longer cord isn't necessary. I've found that a braided cord lasts longer than non-braided so look to this option with any new cord purchase. The Insignia 60w Braided USB-C Cable is a great option as they provide multiple lengths and a couple of color options. The white version matches my Apple environment, so not only is it a stronger cable, it's also aesthetically pleasing. This particular cable is rated at 60w and 480Mbps which is a good middle-of-the-road option for anyone looking to focus on charing phones, tablets, earbuds and similar devices. It will not provide support for laptops and with the 480Mbps speed this is not the fasted cable for data transfers but is more than serviceable for anything outside of huge updates/transfers. As my focus is typically for charging my mobile devices, this cable is a perfect option. Pros: - Well-built with braided jacket on the cord and metal tips for long life - 60w power delivery to charge all your mobile devices - Multiple length and color options - Support Quick Charging Cons: - Does not support USB 3.0 standard, not a big issue for the average user Overall the Insignia 4' Braided USB-C Cable has been the perfect cord for charging my mobile devices at home and on the road. It's well-built and with the braided jacket should last for many years to come. It's not the fasted cable option, but is perfect for the non-power user. I would recommend this cable to anyone looking for an upgrade to their current USB-C cable.

The Insignia 7ft USB-C to USB-C Charge and sync cable is a very well-made product with a braided jacket. The braided jacket offers robust protection and more flexibility and ease of use when compared to its plastic counterparts. It also has rubber reinforcements at the ends where it connects to the USB-C connection points. This should make it last longer without becoming shorted there like other cable I have had in the past. The performance of the cable is also good with a fairly quick transfer speed capability of 480 megabytes per second. This is considered high speed but there are much faster cables such as superspeed and superspeed + cables that if are on par with the quality of this one will most likely cost more money. This cable is good for the average person that does not do a lot of large data transfers in their profession. With a 60-watt rating for charging it is capable of charging a lot of laptops and does very well with phones. Connected to the Anker 25-watt USB-C charger I have it does very well and is long enough to use in bed with a power strip on the ground. I feel like 7ft is a perfect length without being too long like a 10ft cord. So unless you are transferring a lot of videos or other high-volume data for work applications this is a good cord for the price point. Having a 7 ft cord can come in very handy in a lot of situations and if you do not have any longer charge and sync cables the Insignia 7ft USB-C to USB-C Charge and Sync cable is a good choice that is compatible with modern laptops, phones and most other electronics as long as they are USB-C.

This Insignia 10 foot USB-C cable is a great option for anyone looking to find a long and fast braided cable with a premium look and feel. It also comes with a 1 year limited warranty, so if anything happens, you can have peace of mind that you can get another cable. The cable itself is USB 60 Watt certified, as well as USB-IF Certified. It is USB-C on both ends so make sure that whatever you are plugging it into, whether it be a car, laptop, charging brick, etc. also has a USB-C port. It supports up to 60 Watt Power Delivery to quickly charge your devices and Data transfer speeds rated up to 480 Mbps, which is the USB 2.0 maximum transfer speed. So, Overall, it is not actually very fast for data transfer compared to what the USB-C port is capable of, but its fast enough to handle most tasks quickly and it also matches the lightning cables transfer speed, so for anyone that has bought or is planning on buying a new iPhone 15 and is also looking to find a decent 10 foot cable that will be able to hold up for a few years, This Insignia cable is a good option. Overall, for anyone looking for a nice basic option in a USB-C cable, this will do the job. I have been happy with it so far. I have mainly been using it to charge my iPhone and move music over from my computer to my phone and it handled all of it well.
