Replacement for older tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV to replace an 11yr old LG. The picture is much better than the older tv, the black is truly black, not the washed out gray of the other tv. Over all very happy, and good price too.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this tv for Christmas this year hoping to have made an upgrade. I open to box the find one of the legs for the stand aren’t there, I never got a right side stand. Irritable but not a big problem, I just propped it up to make the screen level. All my problems solved right? Nope. It’s not the 28th of December and the tv is started to fidget with white popping in and out of the screen and cutting out sections of audio. I’d love to imagine I just got short handed and this isn’t a good representation of this product in any way at all because this tv is starting to become garbage. My sister got a tv identical to mine, the same Insignia 40 inch 1080p tv, and hers came with both stands and hasn’t caused her any problems so far. As pretty as the picture is on my tv, the trouble this thing has put me through only after three days of use is far too much for such a young tv. A replacement tv would be nice but if not, I’d love to at least get the missing leg for this thing so I don’t have to prop it up on an old iPhone box. Best Buy and Insignia, I politely ask you to consider helping me with this tv. Thank you.

BAD NEWS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.we bought this after reading reviews but was VERY disappointed. the Mother board went out at 18 months,6 months out of warranty . Sad to say even a cheap TV should last you a few years. the board will cost $110 to replace so we are throwing it out. when i asked the repair guy about how common he said you are lucky to keep it even with the new board 5 years. what a waste of money!!! DONE BUY THIS or WESTINGHOUSE. believe it or not we had to return it after 9 months with no sound and traded for this one. We now sucked it up and have a Visio.

Lasted 18 months

After warm-up (about 30 minutes) the unit will turn off, after 30 second it will go back on. It will continue this cycle all day. Add the extended warranty to the price when making your purchase decision.

Not a great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This started with a few channels not being in sync with the video and audio which i have never seen any tv ever do before, but after a few weeks it was almost every channel doing this and i had no choice but to return it and buy a brand name TV that didn't have this issue and clearly is more reliable.

Will not display 1080p 1920x1080
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The device reports that it is in 1080p and our PC reports that it is 1920x1080. However it is actually displaying in 1360x768. This is very aggravating as it advertises as full 1080p.
