I like the fact the screen is big an the TV it self is compact doesn't take up alot of room.has vivid colors.

Back on Cyber Monday of 2017 I bought a 40" Samsung smart TV for about $300 on the Best Buy web site, We ended up bringing it back 3 times, the last for an equivalent amount of store credit. Having disposed of our old T.V. I bought a 32" Insignia for $130 to hold us over. I was so pleased with it that when I had the chance to get a 40" model for only $10 more I jumped on it. It also works great and though not a "smart tv" by using Amazon Prime and / or Fire TV it provides the same abilities and hooked up to a powered speaker system I got at a yard sale for $5. I have surround sound. Hard to believe that the "house brand" T.V. works as good if not better than the big name ones.

Had 4 Insignias. Ironically the newest one, a 40 inch, after a year and half, began turning itself on and off and didn’t respond to a hard reset. Did not want a smart TV because we have cable and all the reviews said it takes 3 steps to turn on TV. Also did not want a set that was to heavy for me to left. Picture not quite as good as the previous model. Easy to set up but it was not sharp and there is no longer a sharpness option on tuning bar. It took some tweaking to get to get color and clarity better. Am told the thinner, newer sets, are having more problems than the older, thick flat screens. Sound is not great but that is typical of these slim sets. For $139 it is fine and it is hard to find a dumb TV anymore. Big thing is to see if it lasts.

A great TV at a great price. The color and pictures come out great. The volume and speakers could be better. The packaging was great. Item was as described in description. Definitely buy again. I like how the remotes work with all insignia TVs. Definitely recommended.

Lightweight and easy to mount on Wall. Nice picture.

I have not had a chance to fully test it yet, but I am satisfied so far. I am trying to learn how to completely operate it. It has a great picture but it has one feature that I don't like. When you turn it on, the volume is off until you change channels. Maybe there is a way to get the volume to come on when you first turn it on, but have not found that setting yet. overall I am happy with it so far.

Works wonderful, the picture is clear and the sound is clean, only problem I have is the lack of Manuel control buttons. If you loose your remote, you better hope the sound is just right because you can only turn on and off the tv.. so if you or anyone else has a problem with loosing the remote, that will be a recurring issue

First TV purchased in almost 9 years and struggled with how much I wanted to spend re: quality/features. Looked at some Samsung's, Sony's etc as well. It was to replace an ancient TV in the master bedroom but I wanted it to be nicer than what was there. So far, couldn't be happier (it's been a month). I'm not a techno-snob and function is sometimes more important than bells and whistles. Very easy to set up, beautiful picture, sound could be better but, again, does the job. All for the sale price of $139. If it continues to serve well I will be looking at another Insignia when it's time to replace the one in the living room.

We wanted a non-smart TV for the bedroom and came across this Insignia for a nice price. The picture is clear and the sound is fabulous. Super easy to use. Surprised but really, really pleased! And no, we aren’t technophobes; we just like simple.

Very clear picture quality with true color choices. Extremely easy to set up. The included plastic feet are easy to attach and offer surprisingly stable support. Perfect size for the bedroom. Very happy with this TV and would recommend it to others.

I purchased this TV on sale as it was a price I couldn't refuse. My 720dpi was starting to ghost some and was getting old. I bought this TV for $139 on sale. The FireTV model was on $169, but I already had a box so I passed. I am more than happy with this TV. I can say I was worried the first couple of weeks as the TV was just showing like blobs in dark scenes and the other colors were not where they should be no matter how much I messed with the settings. None of the Preset options like Vivid, Movie, etc worked. I thought the TV was just bad. I finally searched for "Optimal Insignia Settings for __________" (Model#). I searched through a few and everyone had certain settings that were similar and some that were way different in Tint, Color, Contrast, etc.. I set the ones that were similar and then I just took an average of the ones that were different and toyed with them for a few minutes every time I changed programs and the screen and show was different. I have got it locked in. I have a custom setting now based off the the movie theater setting and I am more than happy. Does it get the same quality of picture as my $700 other brand? No, but it is darn close. I am very happy with my money spent on this television.

This 40 inch Insignia TV was a great buy and fits perfectly on my pool bar! Not smart, but excellent picture. Numerous TV inputs and outputs aided in integration with other audio and video components around the pool. Nice remote control and easy to operate. Highly recommend.

This is a nice sized TV for mounting on my bedroom wall. Picture and sound are good. The only thing I find irritating about it is that it won't retain certain picture settings. Every time I turn it on, I have to turn off the overscan again. Overscan makes it unsuitable as a monitor and interferes with Netflix, YouTube and other online data streams.

Loving this TV. My old TV started acting weird with its picture. Before it could completely die I purchased this TV. Nice size with clear pictures

This is for my mother who has trouble with tvs. This was easy to set up for her and the remote was simple enough for her to use. Her old tv had to have 2 remotes and confused her. It has a great picture and sound

Great Picture with easy set up, no frills TV. I didn’t need a smart TV, as I was using it with a game system with wireless connection and could access streaming from there, so I didn’t need that functionality in the TV. It’s been great for streaming and gaming.
