Customers consistently note the 40" Class LED HDTV's excellent picture quality and reasonable price. Many are pleased with the easy setup process, while gamers appreciate its suitability for gaming consoles. However, some customers have concerns about the TV's smart features, low volume, remote control issues, short lifespan, and washed-out colors.

I had a 32 in. Samsung and it was not as nice as this 40 in. Insignia. I can't believe the color and so much better.

Low budget alternative

This tv has been a low budget alternative to big brand name tvs. It does an okay okay job. No complaints, but one must not over expect. Picture quality is a above par, but is not super crisp to the likes of Samsung or Sony.
Good bedroom Tv, but if you need a living room TV, I’d recommend a 4k version.

Great picture and a low price. I couldn’t ask for more since it’s a bedroom tv that doesn’t get used that much.

Nice quality, for not much money. The best part is that I do not have to use a Roku remote, as those are an abomination.

I bought this TV to go in my garage, so I don't need a super high performance model. After I bought this, the TV in my main living room died, so I moved this TV there temporarily. Let me just say that I would not recommend using this as my primary TV. It's OK for the garage or for playing video games (it has a good picture overall) but the audio is really not good when trying to fill an entire living room. For the price it's a good value.
