Works fine except it never saves settings after being turned off. Every single time I turn it on I have to select no channel scan, followed by HDMI, followed by turning overscan off to get the right size since it is a PC. Turning overscan off requires actually doing so twice due to an error in the code (i.e. select overscan off, it confirms, then switches back to menu where it shows overscan on, repeat process and overscan actually goes off). Pretty much what I expected from a budget TV with no SMART capabilities, though the settings issues are pretty annoying.

Okay cheap LCD TV for your children

Contrast and brightness is not that good. Like I said, it's an okay tv to hook it up to your desktop. Don't expect to be blown out visually.

Hooked it up, got cable box connected- all is well until we tried to listen to the news. Had to put the unit on 100 (sound level) to even hear the program. My parents are elderly and not having good sound is a no go. Called customer support- they tried a reset. No change. They recommended I bring the set back for replacement. It is a pain to repack and schelp it back to the store. It will be necessary to do to get a replacement. Most likely will not get another Insignia.

I would buy it again if I needed just a basic TV. With no smart app's included it is to some degree out dated for today's times.

Fear of it shorting out if turning back on again. Had issues with the cable box, thought it was the cause, but issue with the cable signal has been resolved, issue with the tv is ongoing.
