Our old tv was starting to have volume issues so it was time for a new one. This one had a great price and the reviews seemed good. We've not had any issues. I do agree with some reviews that the volume can be quiet - and we thought about buying a sound bar - but it hasn't been bad at all... We are happy with the purchase.

Bought this tv for my father. His old 32" died. Easy set up. Picture quality if fine.

I was pleasantly surprised with the picture clarity & quality of this TV. Nice to have three HDMI inputs; a bonus that one of them is ARC capable! Would recommend this TV to anyone at this price point.

I was a little skeptical of a 40 in TV for $130. But it is definitely a steal. I bought 2 and I am glad I did. I use it in my bedroom so I like being able to turn volume really low. My old TV on 1 was too loud. this is perfect. Remote is easy to use. Stand was a little tricky to put legs on, but oh well.

I got this as a secondary TV for use in a bedroom. I had a 32" that I figured would be fine for a small room, but the 32" size still felt a bit small. This 40" filled the space much better and almost at the same price as the 32" Samsung Smart TV it replaced. I love that it's a dumb TV since I use Chromecasts throughout the house anyway so I'm not paying for features I'm not using. This TV also has HDMI-CEC so the Chromecast is able to turn it on/off with Google Assistant commands and you're able to pause/play the Chromecast playback with the TV remote. My one gripe is that this TV defaults to overscan which cuts off part of the screen along the edges. You can disable this in the menu but any time you turn the TV on/off or cycle through the input sources it turns back on. This is a huge inconvenience since the overscan does cut off stuff like hardcoded subtitles, logos, scrolling tickers, and captions.

This Insignia TV was a super value. The picture and performance are great. I have had great success with Insignia TV's in the past. Everyone in the family owns them, and everyone loves them. I am sure this will perform well too. We have had this for about 4 months and it is trouble free.

We were looking to increase screen size but didn't want a smart TV because we already have access to streaming services. This TV fit the bill. We brought it home and set up only took a few minutes. The only issue we found is the location of the HDMI 1 port makes it a little tough to seat the cable easily but so far that is the only issue we have found.

I purchased the Insignia 40" HDTV for my (80 something) mother, as her old VGA tv was getting too hard for her to see. She loves it! The picture is very good for the "class" of 1080P tvs. (She can now read the "tickers" at the top/bottom of the screen. It's very easy for her to use.

This is the first tv we have purchased in 10 years. We are very happy. I know its not the fanciest tv but its excellent on the budget. We use with a fire stick. We are not sport watchers and have not had any issues with blurring.

Tv was easy to mount to the wall and hook wires up, picture is good.
