I scavenged through Best Buy to find the best deals on an HD 40-inch TV, and this was hands down the best. I worried that the lower cost might correspond to a worse quality, but much to my excitement, the TV is excellent. The setup was very easy, I had it plugged in, connected, and streaming within minutes. I've had no issues whatsoever. 100% recommend.

we were looking for a TV for our guestroom and didn’t want anything too expensive considering how it would be used on occasion. I spotted this at Best Buy and they offered next day delivery which was incredible in itself. Easy installation and totally surprised by how impressive the picture was on the LED screen. Considering I paid less than $200 for a 40 inch TV I had lowered expectations. Yet I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the picture was on this TV. I wholeheartedly recommended to anyone looking for a TV for their home as a primary one or a guest bedroom, etc. Don't overlook this based on the rather inexpensive price for you certainly get more quality and bang for the buck with this purchase.

$129 sale price? Can't beat it. Add a Roku and you have a perfect garage TV. Who needs 4K? 95% of stuff on TV is either 720p or 1080p.
Very light. I actually wall mounted it myself. I use it to play IHeartRadio in the garage / patio area. Money well spent!

I’m very happy with this tv! I have a 19” Insignia tv in my kitchen (the same N series) that I love so once my bedroom tv died I figured I would try this one. For the price I can’t really think of any complaints. The colors look great and it is surprisingly bright. I like that it isn’t a smart tv so that I can plug my DIRECTV receiver in and not mess with anything else. You do need to turn the volume up quite a bit but it is clear and decently full sounding. Definitely recommend for bedroom use!

This is my second Insignia tv purchase. We have a 32 inch lcd still going strong at 9 years but wanted a bigger screen for the bedroom. Haven't had it a week yet but this brand is pretty reliable and the only draw back are the little feet used to set it on a surface. The dresser is used to watch it from a recliner but when I want to watch it in bed I have to turn it and the little plastic legs are hanging off the top of the dresser, not good. We have a 50" tv in the living room that came with a pedestal stand and don't know why this 10lb thing couldn't come with one. Maybe saves $2 in mfg costs? Anyway, went to HD and bought a piece of pine board and mounted it to a metal lazy susan to turn it with ease.

For the price you can't beat this! Nice picture and easy to set up. Color isn't as vivid as my old plasma TV but this thing is a fraction of the weight so I'll take it!

For what I paid and the purpose that I bought this TV for...it is a solid, budget friendly option. Don’t need a 4K tv for a 40” display. I have a Roku connected to it along with a budget sound bar to keep up on sports during the weekends when I’m out working in the garage
.
This is my 3rd Insignia TV. As is the case with the other 2 TVs units (one of which is a plasma purchased in 2010 that is still running like it did the day I bought it) ... I’m VERY satisfied.

Over all this is a really nice HD TV. The picture quality is great and it is very light weight which is excellent for mounting on walls. It also was the prefect size for the wall in our small home office. I would recommend this TV to any one wanting a decent size flat screen in their home or office.

I purchased this tv for my mother for Christmas. She needed a new tv for her bedroom and she does not like the newer smart tv with apps because she likes it simple. When I found this one I was happy as they don’t have many TV’s without the apps nowadays. It was also on sale and was not heavy to carry up the stairs. Set up was simple and easy and she enjoys watching her local channels. Great buy.

Unbelievable price! Great picture, easy to use. Had it unboxed, mounted on the wall (200X200 vesa) and hooked up to my cable and Roku in less than a half hour! Sometimes simple is better, you don't have to take a class to figure out how to use this TV.

I have been looking for a good tv for a cheap price and this one is actually really good. The screen resolution isn’t bad, it’s the perfect size for my room, and it’s just overall a great buy. It was an easy setup for my dad. I actually ended up buying him the same tv for his room as well and he loved it . and it was a great price for two tvs. (ignore the mess i have on my drawer) i also bought the protection plan just in case and it wasn’t a bad price for it either. definitely worth it.

So I’ve had this TV for over a month… I wanted to watch a variety of shows before reviewing. I have not had any issues with quality. I have watched nature shows as well as action or drama and the picture is always great quality. I have a Roku hooked up, to the TV, no cable provider. The sound does have to be up a bit to hear it, but sound ok. The speakers are on the bottom of the TV. This TV is not a smart TV, but provides a great picture & product.

A Great TV For Video Games

This is a great tv. I purchased it specifically for my video gaming center. It has 3 hdmi ports so splitters were needed for 7 game consoles. The TV response is very good with the Nintendo Mini consoles, The Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Playstation 2 ( with upscale converter ), and a Retron 5 classic game emulator. The tv speakers sound great but I added external speakers via the headphones jack on the rear of the Tv. I love this Tv it's great for what I need it for. I recommend it!

I found an Open Box special on this 40" Insignia TV and paired it with the 50" Insignia TV Stand and Roku Streambar for my sister. It arrived a few days late but that was okay. My father set everything up in no time and commented how easy it all was. He said the "picture is very clear" when hooked up to her antenna. Another great Insignia deal!

This insignia brand TV truly shocked me with how well the picture showed. It showed up very vibrantly! I’m used to buying popular name brand electronics, but I couldn’t resist the price so I gave it a try. I love it! Even my 20 yr. old loves it. She loves playing her games on it. It’s perfect in a bedroom. The sound is great in a bedroom but you may want a sound bar if you plan to put it in a huge living room. I would definitely recommend this tv to anyone!
