Better Than I Imagined
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i was on the fence whether to buy this because i normally have big name brand tvs like samsung and such. i read the reviews and figured i would take a chance on this tv. so far so good it has a beautiful picture to it and i have no complaints. it looks nice physically and was easy to put out together. only issue i have had is my firetv remote doesnt work with turning it on and off and volume up but i honestly think the issue is my firetv not this tv at all. i recommend on a great budget buying this one. it has a voice set up option as well but honestly the voice is robotic and annoying but if you have bad eye sight still might help

Good buy if you don't need a "Smart TV."
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, it has turned out to be a great buy. We had an older 40" flat screen, but the picture was starting to show dark areas, like there was a shadow over part of the screen. Very strange. This TV was connected to a cable box, but not hooked up to the Wi-Fi, so we never used it for streaming or any of that. So, when looking for a replacement, it didn’t need to be a “smart TV" since we’d probably use it the same way as the other one. Best Buy was having their early Black Friday deals and I happen to see this 40" Insignia on sale. Honestly, I didn’t know much about Insignia other that it was a Best Buy brand, but for the sale price, it was hard to pass up. Got it home and it was fairly easy to set up. I put on the legs, attached the cable box through the HDMI, the old sound bar through the audio input and the old DVD player through the AV plugs. It all worked great with a nice clear picture. The only weird part, it has a voice feature you can turn on, that tells you what you are doing, such as “Power on,” “Volume 15" or “Channel 10.” It’s sort of a creepy computer voice, which I find a bit amusing. But I’m guessing most people with just turn off that voice function.

Perfect gift for grandparents
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this Tv for my grandfather after their tv went out. He doesn’t do much but watch the news and the occasional cop show with my grandmother. They kept telli by me after I set the tv up for them that it had a super clear picture and felt bigger than their other 40” tv that had big borders around it. The tv was also super simple to set up. The legs are pretty close to the church edge of the tv so measure before hand bc the tv might not fit on a small tv stand.

Great TV if you don't want a "smart" TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's hard to find a so-called "dumb" TV (aka no built-in smart tech) these days, but that's what I needed. I have now bought two of these TVs and I'm very happy with both. Great picture, easy to use, easy to hook up to other tech. Highly recommend.

Great gaming TV for young children
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this TV almost a year ago for my son so game on in his room. We love this TV only hang up is that it doesn’t have many controls on it, so if you lose your remote you can’t change the volume at all. Other than that, great purchase

Tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv is actually good for its price. If you care about great visuals, this is not for you and the size is also good. The only negative was the controller because it felt strange to use.

Good TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We needed a “plain old TV” for a senior citizen who wants nothing but television channels. This one has a bright colorful picture, clear sound - and is easy to operate. Although it’s not needed at this time, it has a QAM tuner for basic cable & HDMI for adding a streaming device or blu-ray.

Excellent Value!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently purchased as a replacement for an older 32" that was failing. Nice and light/easy to handle and unbox. Very easy installation and set-up process. The picture looks very nice and the remote is very straightforward too. I already had a streaming stick and so all I had to do was plug the stick into the back slot and I now had a smart TV!

Huge Upgrade From My Old T.V. .
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 2010 Toshiba flat screen in my den that has truly begun to show its age and the t.v. in the master bedroom was (2010-2021 ) and is Insignia that we've been very content with so I've been looking for sales on one to replace the Toshiba . The bedroom t.v. is a 43" N Series, which is bigger by 11" than my Toshiba and I really didn't want one that big in the corner I keep my entertainment equipment in so the 40" N Series is what I chose . I took advantage of free same day delivery (awesome service by Marquis ) and set up took about 1/2 an hour including the stand removal of the old t.v.and boxing it in the box that the Insignia came in . Setting up the t.v. labeling the HDMIs , etc took another 15 minutes because the sound is cleaner going through the sound bar and sub woofer than what I was used to so I played with the sound setup more . You know it's funny in the store even a 65" tv seems small when there's text scrolling at the bottom but this one is actually readable from 20' away without my glasses on . A huge win ! I set the picture setting to normal aspect and movie and flipped through the Firestik, satellite box and a Bluray to get a feel for the overall picture quality and I must say it's much more alive than my 720p Toshiba . I did get a sense of the built in speakers as I was setting things up and they were meh but had plenty of volume . Great for watching the news or something but I'm glad I already had a sound bar and sub woofer when I played John Wick part 3 . I'm not sure what others look for in a television set but what I look for its picture that looks like real life , be it bland or vivid areas . With this one it's a smidge too much of a good thing (blues a little too blue , red a little too red , etc ) but for under 2 Benjamins I'm ecstatic !

Nice Quality. Great Value
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TCV to use in a bedroom. As such, 1080p HD was more than enough. The picture is nice. It weighs very little and is very thin. It is a bit basic, but I use it with a Roku streamer, so I didn't want/need anything fancy. It works well and is a great value. Perfect for a bedroom, where you don't need an UHD.
