Great basic flat screen TV at a fantastic price

Perfect for a family that does not want their kids watching YouTube and other drek on a so-called "smart TV" that has internet access. I have owned SONYs, SAMSUNGs and VIZIOs and I would defy anyone to see or hear a difference in this picture for hundreds less. How well the Insignia holds up over time remains to be seen but I had Samsung fail in 4 years and a Sony fail in 7 years.

Would recommend this TV and other Insignia products without hesitation. We also own a portable CD/Bluetooth by Insignia, as well as a stereo. Will buy Insignia again in the future.

She is totally happy with this tv. The picture is great on this set if you sit straight on viewing but it is washed out from a side view. She could care less because she’s the only one watching it. I used the four or five choices to choose for the picture Vibrant,movie,etc. I kept it simple and chose the movie setting and the picture looks great. For a $149 it was perfect. Don’t expect HDR,a bunch of apps and the usual junk at this price and you will be happy.

Well built. Excellent picture and sound. I have Roku and Tivo connected to the unit so in essence I have a smart tv but not with all of bells and whistles which is fine for me.
