This tv is surprisingly clear and sharp and the sound is even good for a flat screen. It connects easily to the Sony soundbar in my bedroom and has a great and user friendly interface.

Good Inexpensive Non Smart TV

I recommend the movie setting and turning off the "enhancements". My only complaint is that you need to watch the TV straight on. If you are more than a few feet off center the picture starts to wash out. It's not a smart TV. I have it hooked up to cable and a Roku and they all work fine. Just remember that you need to adjust the settings for each input separately.

Best Combination of Quality and Value In A 40" TV

I needed a new TV when my old one died. This one was on sale and I was STUNNED by the difference between my old 720 pixel picture and the NEW picture on this 40" screen with 1080 pixels. Salesmen at Best Buy informed me sound quality and longevity in new TVs is down. A sound bar compensates for the poor speaker quality and the price makes up for longevity issues expected in the future. The set is delicate, but the picture and 3 HDMI inputs for streaming are terrific. Great combination of quality and value.
