Great TV, especially for the price I paid for it. I bought this item over 2 years ago and have not any problems out of it yet. Still works just like it did the day I bought it. I wish it were a smart TV but It works perfectly with my Roku device.

We recently had to get a new TV but we didn't want a smart tv. Luckily this one wasn't. It was easy to set up and while the feet were a bit of annoyance they provide a wider base so it's more stable than our old TV.

You can't go wrong with this TV I did tweak it a little bit other than that the picture quality is excellent the sharpness is excellent. Even though this TV is not a smart TV it is well worth the money.

This is my second Insignia tv. My first is a smaller smart tv. I was looking to upgrade for my living room. I already have a streaming device, so nothing built into the tv was needed. Picture is clear, lots of settings available. Tv looks sharp on the wall. Impressive value for the money with this TV. Love the quality you get with insignia. I’ve had other products by this brand and I’m always impressed.

    DO NOT BUY THIS TV

I purchased this TV almost two weeks ago. This TV will lose all sound when the Xfinity cable box it's hooked up to "restarts" in the middle of the night. It will also lose all sound if you change the resolution from 1080p to 720p or vice versa. I work nights and Xfinity sent me a new cable box UPS and a few sets of HDMI cables. I also have another cable box hooked up to a different TV. None of these are the issue. I called the Best Buy store twice to be on hold for 40 minutes. They do not answer their phone. I ended up calling Best Buys 800 number and talked to someone from the Geek Squad. They said to hold the power button and volume up button on the TV and unplug it. The problem is this TV has ONE button - power. Time to get in touch with Insignia, maybe it needs a firmware update. I sent them an Email and they sent me back an insulting one. Four questions with answers: - When did this start happening? Was it since the first time you used it? - Purchased 11/6/20 - Started happening 11/8/20 or two days later. - Was it misused or damaged in some way (accidental or not)? - NO it wasn't misused or damaged in some way, that's pretty insulting, it's been sitting on its stand in a bedroom. - When and where did you make the purchase? - On 11/6/20 at Best Buy Store #301 Downers Grove, IL - Do you still have the receipt? If so, please attach a picture of it. Yes I have the receipt but I have decided to return this TV to Best Buy and buy a different brand at a different merchant so it's not worth my time to send you a copy of it. The misused or damaged in some way (accidental or not) question is insulting. I bought your product and you insinuate that I may have misused or damaged it? No, to be polite your TV is a piece of junk that will probably stop working in a short time, I have no confidence in it and will return it. Basically I buy a cheapo TV and I just sort of expected it to work. I had a TCL that was going strong well into 6 years. It got hit hard by a heavy dog toy in middle of the screen and that was the end of it. This TV acted up in two days which doesn't inspire my confidence in it. This was Insignias answer to troubleshooting: Power cycle: 1. Unplug your TV from the electric current. 2. Once unplugged, press and hold the power button of the TV (not from the remote) for 60 seconds. 3. Wait for 5 minutes. 4. Then plug again your TV and turn it on. That did nothing. This TV is going back this weekend, I work from 8PM to 6AM during the week. To say that Best Buys and Insignias CS is bad is understating the word bad. Best Buy needs to answer their phone and Insignia needs to sell a TV that works, there are many complaints about no sound and Insignia TVs. Spend a little more money and but something else, even the Geek Squad said they loved their TCL. I wanted a no frills TV and I got one, you have to hit mute and then unmute it to get sound. I wasn't expecting a Sony but sound is just as important as a picture on a TV. The picture is actually pretty decent, that's one thing this TV has going for it but I'll be buying a more expensive TV from a different retailer, this experience has been bad. I have put about 3 hours of time trying to troubleshoot this TV, It's getting put back in it's box and being returned. Best Buy used to be pretty good but I'll be shopping elsewhere for electronics. You cannot even answer your phone? Wait on hold for 40 minutes and nobody answers? That's unacceptable.

This is the TV I have been waiting for. The screen size is just right. Fits in the space in my living room. The picture quality is better than I expected, much better than what I had been watching. I am really pleased with my purchase. On top of everything else, the price was excellent and the technician who did the install was quick, efficient, and respectful of my home.

This is a good tv. We wanted one that was non-smart so we could watch tv without it watching us. We do wish they made a larger non-smart one but this is a good choice.

Thank you for sharing your feedback! It’s great to hear that you found a non-smart TV that meets your needs. While a larger non-smart option would be ideal, it’s good to know that this choice works well for you. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!

I've bought Insignia before, all have performed well. Improved picture. Sound is good and actually improved sound over previous models, but I added a sound bar because I like a more robust sound (base). Works well for me in a guest room/gaming room. I recommend it if you are looking for an inexpensive TV at a reasonable price for occasional use this is the one.

Great 1080p 40 inch TV for a good price. I needed 1 for my room and this is perfect. Only downside is you need to get a roku or something because it isn't a smart TV but the price makes up for that. No problems with it so far.

I rate this tv 5 stars because it does what I need it to do. The sound quality is great. It’s fairly loud at level 12 for volume. The bass is awesome which makes it unnecessary to buy a sound bar or surround sound. Great tv for video games.
