But I wanted a smaller TV for watching football if there were 2 games I wanted to see at the same time. It needed to be non smart, not 4k, won’t break the bank , and have a decent picture. This Insignia checked all those boxes. If you sit at a distance it has a really nice picture. But up close not so much.

I expect many happy hours in front of my TV (I'm retired, have no dependents, single). Day is wide open.

It's one of the best TV's i've ever purchased and my mom is super happy with her new 40" TV.

She's not looking for all the bells and whistles that Smart TV's offer, so this does just the trick and for the right price. The picture is great, and it was easy to get connected to her service provider. She's happy, which makes me and my wife happy!

It's the right size and resolution and price for my parlor: $120 on sale. Also got a Roku stick so now i have a smart TV without the high cost, and can always add a second brand of stick for double goodness. I wish the speakers were better, but didn't want to pay a premium for that, so will likely get a cheap bluetooth soundbar because it's gotta be better than the buildins... and i can take the soundbar outside for parties.
