Dead pixel on “new” TV

The “new” product arrived with a dead pixel. Terrible quality control. It was apparent on first powering up the TV. My options seem to be: 1) accept the sub-par product, 2) repackage and bring to a Best Buy store or 3) repackage and bring to a UPS store.
You offer free delivery. Great. But then you delivered a faulty product. Why is the onus on me to bring the faulty product to you?

Mounted this TV to an old Entertainment Center

TV picture is awesome. Easy to program inputs. HDMI inputs are too close to each other, only using 1 & 3. Can't use HDMI 2. USB input only reads flash drive pictures. USB won't mirror a phone etc. Otherwise, TV is an excellent replacement for my 18 yr old 34" CRT TV. Sucker was heavy! This TV is light and fragile. Keeping the provided plastic carrying bag, in case I ever have to move the TV for whatever reason, to keep from damaging it. I mounted the TV to my old Entertainment Center. Really making a rectangle peg fit in a square hole ~ literally. I bolted a pair of drawer slides to a 1"X12 wood board and hung the tv from it, with Mount-It part # MI-4222 and the whole set up hopefully last another 18 years. We'll see.

It is NOT a 'smart' TV, but it doesn't need to be.

The second best TV I've ever had. The best one was a Sharp Aquos, but that was many years ago. This one is still very good. It has a very good looking 1080p picture when displaying from a source that sends out a signal at 1080p or higher.
You'll want to adjust the default settings to get the best looking picture I would imagine. I did anyway, I found that it looks best with the color saturation turned down to 40, sharpness to between 1 and 5 depending on if you are watching broadcast TV or a streamed show or DVD. I often play games on it with my retro game systems such as my Atari 2600 and my Super Nintendo. In those cases, I turn the sharpness all the way off.
The backlight is quite bright, so I keep it set around 45 most of the time, sometimes as low as 25 if all of the room's lights are off. It has 'dynamic backlight' but I find that it makes the screen to bright for my taste most of the time.
The contrast also has a 'dynamic' setting but I prefer to adjust it manually as I like to change it depending on what show I'm watching. Shows with a lot of black backgrounds, such as movies set in space for example, look very good with the contrast turned down a bit. If you adjust the contrast, backlight and brightness, you can achieve very dark blacks and rich colors.
The speakers aren't terrible, for a thin TV, but they aren't as good as the sound you'll get from even a budget priced soundbar. Luckily, setting up a soundbar to this TV is quite easy. You can even plug headphones into a jack on the back of the TV if you want to listen to your shows at any volume you'd like without bothering others. I've seen TVs much more expensive than this that didn't have that feature. Sure, some of those have bluetooth, but I find wireless headphones to be fiddly and not worth the trouble. The sound has a decent attempt at virtual surround sound that works quite well with headphones on.
There aren't many HDMI ports on here, but that's the norm now. I got an HDMI hub a little while back for an older TV and it works just fine with this one.
I also have my Amazon Firestick 4K hooked up to this TV which makes the fact that it isn't a 'smart' TV not matter a bit. The trouble with TVs with built in streaming devices is that often times, the device isn't the latest tech. You can't remove it to upgrade to something better either. But with a normal TV like this, I'll be able to hook up something better than the Firestick that I currently have later on.
The remote and the menu that it controls is very easy to use. The remote has big, backlit buttons that are easy to read and press. The labels on them make enough sense too, that you don't need a manual to figure them out.
One big gripe I have about today's TVs is that they don't come with built in pedestals anymore, just these silly chicken feet stands. I pitched the stands it came with and bought a pedestal stand from Best Buy. I didn't like having to buy one separately, but the one I got works quite well. It fits the TV with no problems.
I wish that this TV has a thicker case and wider bezel as it doesn't give you much to hang onto when you are moving it around. Getting it out of the box required pulling on handles in the plastic bag that they'd put it in rather than pulling on the TV itself. I guess it was nice of them to give me handles of some kind to get it out of its snug fit in the box.
It's a good bargain and is all you really need in a TV, even today.

Great quality for the price point

This TV has great quality for the price, and it's considerably lighter in weight than even my last 32" HD TV. It's razor thin and much sleeker--ah, technology evolves. The sound and picture are just fine for an old school viewer who doesn't need a bunch of bells and whistles. I love it.

The Insignia 40" Class N10 Series LED Full HD TV is a solid choice for anyone looking for an affordable and reliable television. The 1080p Full HD resolution delivers clear and vibrant images, making it great for watching movies, TV shows, or even casual gaming.
The design is simple and sleek, fitting well in any room without taking up too much space. The sound quality is decent for a TV in this price range, though adding external speakers or a soundbar would improve the audio experience.
One of the best things about this TV is its ease of use. Setting it up is straightforward, and the interface is simple to navigate. While it doesn’t have smart TV features, it works well with streaming devices like Roku, Fire Stick, or Chromecast, allowing you to access all your favorite apps effortlessly.
For the price, this Insignia TV offers good picture quality, easy setup, and solid performance. It’s perfect for a bedroom, guest room, or even as a secondary TV. If you’re looking for a no-frills, budget-friendly option, this is a great pick!

Great TV for a small price

Excellent TV. It’s been over 3 years since I bought this TV and it’s still clear as ever. I have no interest in smart tvs that put ads on your screens. I use an Amazon FireStick for access to all my favorite shows/movies by downloading the different streaming apps. Because this is a “dumb tv” I don’t have to worry about preloaded apps. It allows you to set it up the way you want. There’s a few HD ports on the back. I have my FireStick in one and my Nintendo Switch in the other. There’s 2 more being unused. This is the TV you want if you like doing your own setup with the device you want to use instead of buying into a particular brand/company. You can use any streaming stick to setup your internet access. 10/10 would buy again.

Basic and Functional

Bought this TV due to it's price, Size, and complete lack of Smart functionality. I needed this simply as a bedroom TV, and I was planning on hooking my Xbox Series S to it, and prefer the lack of redundancy and multiple remotes I'd end up with. This TV performs very well, with a good picture quality, though admittedly I've been spoiled by 4K and high refresh rates. However, this TV will have a place in my home for years to come (depending on it's durability) as a large and basic Monitor, allowing me to choose any streaming device in the future and not being locked to a platform.
My only gripe is the lack of any CEC or equivalent tech to allow the TV to control the Xbox and vice versa, but it does include an ARC port, and one component, which is getting a lot rarer on modern TVs. Once I upgrade to a smaller 4K for this room, this'll likely become a Kitchen/Garage television. Very pleased with it.

NOT A SMART TV WHICH IS GREAT‼️

I bought this tv for our patio. Didn’t want to spend a lot of money. It replaced a Vizio that was just too old. The INSIGNIA picture is outstanding and so much brighter than the outdated Vizio! That is especially important for an outdoor tv. The patio is mostly covered so rain is never a problem. This tv has significantly more hookup options than all my Samsung tv’s! I was especially looking for a NON Smart tv, since Dish Network provides all the channels. As a retired Broadcast Engineer, I would be the first to complain about any aspect of this tv, but honestly it’s just a great tv + the price isn’t bad either❗️

Was looking for an inexpensive flat screen to use as a second tv. The color and sound are surprisingly good quality for such a low price. It’s not a smart TV so it’s connected to Roku and performs flawlessly. The prompt txt messaging from Best Buy and the seamless in store pick up were perfect. I’m very happy with my choice of product and store.

Simple, inexpensive, good quality picture. Bought this because we did NOT want a SmartTV. It's hard to find a decent TV without all the Smart Features. This one displays an AppleTV and PS5 beautifully. Used in a college apartment, the price point and quality is ideal. One thing to note, there is no on/off button on the TV, you must use the remote.

I wanted a very basic tv for our bedroom. Most tv's are now smart tv's which is fine, but I honestly don't use the smart features on them as they tend to lag or get out dated. This insignia has none of those fancy things which is great! I connected a HD Roku player to the TV and everything looks great, the TV even picked up that a Roku device was connected. I also believe that the tv remote can be used to control Roku, firestick, etc. Mine did not work but I believe that is because the Roku we have uses IR and not RF.
The picture (after making a few small tweaks) looks incredible and no different then our high end 1080p TVs. I viewed a couple HD videos on YouTube and YouTube TV and all looked great. The HD video on YouTube actually surprised me at how clear it looked. I had low expectations due to the cost but was truly shocked at how great it looked.
I was not expecting anything but low quality built in speakers, but the ones in this TV are actually pretty decent and work fine for a bedroom. Like any flat screen a sound bar would really help, but for a bedroom tv the sound is totally fine. I will not be using a sound bar with this TV as it is not needed for the application.
I also like that the frame is smaller and the ports (HDMI) are accessible from the side. This will look clean and nice hanging on the bedroom wall. Also the volume, change channel, and power button on the remote all glow in the dark.
Overall I'm impressed with the overall cost and performance of this TV. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if needed.

An absolutely amazing TV, 1080 lines resolution, great color, big 40-inch display. And a super low price, actually unbelievably low price for a TV that not long ago would have been science fiction. For enhanced sound I am using the Vilinice 120W faithful sound reproduction. I am very pleased.

We love this TV. We recently moved and needed a tv for the living room and saw this for $100 and change. I thought it was a pretty good deal. It literally came the next day with no box scratches or indents nor cracks in the screen. I did not think it would be as light as it was when I picked it up. It fit perfectly on our ikea tv stand that I DIYed and the color/picture quality is beautiful. Its pretty sharp, nothing to complain about. It was easy to set up too.
