I've used these power supplies to repair many computers and have yet to have one fail on me. They are dependable out of the box and long after that.

Needed a replacement for a blown power supply in a Dell Vostro. This power supply is slightly more powerful than the original, fit exactly (not always a guarantee with Dell computers) and works. I couldn't ask for more.

It's hard to get excited about a power supply, but I suppose the best way to judge whether you've got a good power supply product is or not is whether you ever even notice it. I never even think about this one so it must be doing a good job. The previous one I had was constantly on my mind because it was so noisy and kept overheating. I purchased this one as a replacement and it has worked flawlessly and quietly.

My desktop's Power Supply died on me for some reason. I needed a new one, so I went into the store with my computer and wanted to do a quick little self-repair and install. FRY's would let this happen and offer tables and an official self-repair area, but not "Best" Buy! They started off by saying it would be fine as long as I didn't get in the way of any customers, but as soon as I started, they were all over me telling me to get out of the store and not to come back. I wasn't in anyone's way. I made certain not to block any aisles. I was off to the side, not even using table space anywhere! In reality, it was Geek Squd that threw a fit. They were clearly upset that a mere customer would dare to try and fix his computer instead of paying an exorbitant fee for them to LOOK at it and then pay ANOTHER exorbitant fee to actually fix it ON TOP of paying for anything that would be needed to fix the problem. Total jerks. I ended up walking back to my car (in the rain) with a half-opened computer, installed the part in my back seat, and then they wouldn't even let me test it to see if the computer would boot. They said: "We're not going to let you BLOW UP our tvs or cause a fire in our store!" I'm not kidding. This is a direct quote. I won't be going back to "Best" Buy...like ever again. I've almost made it to Platinum or whatever status is past Elite every year for the past 10 years. They've gotten plenty of business from me in the past. Now, even though it costs more and there's no point system, I'll be going to Fry's.

Simple, affordable and easy enough to install. All the power you need for a basic desktop.
