    Just a basic power supply. Does what it should and is relatively inexpensive (although you can find a name-brand power supply, such as Corsair or Antec with the same or similar rating for the same/similar price). The only difference is that Antec and Corsair, among others, have been thoroughly tested and proved to be workhorses (especially the mid to high-end models). This power supply is a good basic upgrade from an OEM power supply from (perhaps) a pre-built computer from Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc.

    Our home desktop computer crashed. I had no choice but to either call a tech for home service or take it to someone. I decided to take it back to. Where I bought it (AKA Besy Buy). Once there the rep at the counter asked if I wanted it checked before approving repair. WOW really? Sure I replied. After checking it out he explained my power supply had failed. He recommended a standard replacement that would work just fine. Long story short I bought the power supply and replaced it myself. Very easy and inexpensive. Took only 5 mins.

    I use mine as an external powers source for my 3D printer and my gripe is that it doesn't shut off the second you hit the switch. Not that big an issue for normal use but if there's a problem with the printer I need it off now not 1 second from now. Other than that it's great. I had originally bought the 500w version but it didn't even have a power switch so I had to return it. Best buy has an amazing return policy as well. :)
