Some people were complaining about this tv and I'm sorry...but this TV IS AWESOME! I love the quality and the 4k videos from youtube look AMAZING! I love this tv! I know it's not samsung but for the price it does the same thing and it looks unbeliavable, even the 1080p blurays looks better on this. The sound is very good too and You can even use your headphones! I love it! 10/10

I purchased this unit as a 2nd 4k monitor to go with my Vizio (E43U-D2) and I'm less than impressed. This model had been speculated to be a great buy as a monitor given it's specs but the unit I received failed to deliver.
The Good....
Low input lag
Great Menu/UI
Roku
Quantity of 4k inputs
Stand/Base is constructed as a single piece and not just legs (only reason I note is if using multiple 40"+ displays as monitors, fitting them entirely on a single desk can be tricky).
Solid remote construction
The Bad...
Default hdmi mode to 1.4 (30hz) and not 2.0 (60hz) - Ok for those who know to dig into settings to adjust but not for those who expect plug and play.
Noticeable grain in comparison to the Vizio 4k it's next to.
Hdmi port 1,4:4:4, would not support 4k @ 60 hz. Ports 2-4 did however.
Now I could have received a defective unit but since I do value first impressions and don't care for the time wasted returning products, I won't be exchanging it for a replacement to test and instead will be going with another Vizio E43U-D2.
My setup is used for software development, database design, and normal document viewing/creation.

An ok 4k monitor

If you are looking for a 4k 60Hz 4:4:4 monitor this is a very close win. Take this with a grain of salt however it is not truly 4:4:4 at 4k 60Hz. There is some strange software working in the background. Running this on my macbook 2015, displayport 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 via the club3d adaptor these are my results.
At 4k 60Hz http://imgur.com/ojxaO4n
At 1080p http://imgur.com/Zd9y33b
At 4k 30Hz the image is the same as the 30Hz.
You can see that you get a small sample of 4:4:4 but not the full 4:4:4.
So overall for the price you can't go very wrong as of April 2016. Especially when you can buy these at the local BestBuy and test them out yourself.
The other downfall is the pixel density could be a lot better if this was a 40in instead. A 43in is a bit too large and pixels can be seen. Though I use this for software development at 4K 60Hz and reading text is not straining due to the size. So I can give this 4 stars. 4k at 60Hz with ALMOST true 4:4:4 (from what I can test) has never been cheaper.
ps: If you pick this up and test it with a modern nvidia or amd card I would love to see the chroma results.

I was skeptical to say the least in buying such a low cost, 4K tv. After I got it home and mounted, I'm really happy with it. It's a bedroom tv for me, so I wasn't expecting the worlds greatest of everything and it has been a pleasant surprise how nice this really is.
Pros:
I love the Roku menu and control (makes me wish I could have it on my Samsungs)
Good picture quality
Sound is fine
Looks nice
Easy wireless connections
Cons:
Blacks aren't great, it's kind of expected in this price range though.
Annoying power light stays on all the time of power is connected, I hate it in my bed room, I put a piece of tape over it.
60hz refresh rate isn't good by today's standards, but it's perfectly fine for viewing tv, movies, football etc.
Screen is a bit bright even with settings toned down
Overall:
I would recommend and wouldn't mind buying a bigger version for primary use, but I would like to see a bit better color depth and a faster processor if I were going up in size. Great buy for the cost, don't hesitate.

The Roku functionality is great, comparable to my Roku 3 that I had previously. The 4K is great, I tried it with some Smithsonian Earth 4K content, and the color and detail is really incredible. Price is extremely great, especially for 4K. You won't find it anywhere else either. Unbelievable.

It is really hard to judge a TV, that doesn't have some type of comparison available (like the demos you see in the store) but the picture does look really nice, I just don't know if I can see a difference from the 1080p. ANyone I really want to get a Roku tv and this is one was reasonably priced for 4k, pretty much a slam dunk. It was easy to set up, it doe stake a little getting used to as everything is now done through the Roku home screen but it was way better than any Smart TV I have ever had. Glad I purchased for myself and recommend this one to everyone.

This TV is a solid upgrade from my old 720P Samsung and second gen Roku. The image is decent but doesn't allow for much adjustment, which is a major disappointment. The Roku functionality works well. Much quicker than my previous one and connects to wifi consistently. Uprez on the TV is mostly unimpressive and sometimes just plain bad, but that could be more about the originating content quality, stream etc. It's very user friendly as a plug-n-play 4K set and will satisfy undemanding users but will likely fall short of expectations for users accustomed to having more manual controls to customize to their preferences. Sharpness, resolution good. Contrast, deep blacks not so much. If the system were updated to allow for detailed picture adjustments, I would be jumping for joy. Probably perfect for gaming but falls short for cinema. Satisfied overall for the price.

I was looking for a living room tv for occasional use. My Samsung 4K is my primary in the bedroom. I wanted to keep cost low so initially looked at a handful of 1080 tvs. Once my local store got these in I decided to take the chance. Being an employee I know a lot about several tvs we have and I have to say this one is a great buy for the money. The roku works very well and makes the features seem very peppy in loading. My only con for this tv is that the blacks could be better but for the price it's a decent trade off. Even standard 1080 content looks very good.

I read the reviews and the few bad ones were nit picking. Don't buy an off brand name if you're looking for a high def monitor. It's only 60 Hrz but you really don't even notice. Great with Roku integrated. Got it for $300, so if they run this sale or better again, grab this steal right away!!!

This TV is really good for a low cost 4K option. It's Rooku enabled and is really easy to set up. I find the 4K picture is good not a good as Samsung but since it's much cheaper I don't mind. The dark color clarity isn't as good as I would like but overall I am happy with the purchcase

This was my 1st time purchasing my own TV...I've always had used hand-me-downs! I also just moved into my own place after not living on my own for about 10 years...so I didn't have much that was my own. Making this purchase was a huge step for me and, combined with the service at the store, made for an amazing experience. The TV is amazing...perfect quality...the roku is awesome!!...and I'm really loving the 4k feature! The picture quality is so much better than TVs I've had in the past and the sound is amazing!! I would highly recommend this TV to anyone looking to enhance their entertainment!! 2 thumbs up!! :)

The TV looks sharp and the sound isn't bad at all. My only complaint as said in another review I read is the fact every time you turn off the TV you have to go back to the source you had it on. Every time you turn it on it will be on the home screen. I recommend this more for a room than the main living room TV. It is also a little annoying that it didn't come with a regular remote with numbers for channels instead a Roku remote. I guess its fine if you plan on having cable or satellite.

My GF bought an Insignia TV for my B-day last year and we put it in the bedroom. Great TV at a great price. So when it came time to buy a new one for the living room i did a lot of research. When it came time to buy one i was pretty sure i was going to with a Sony. But at the store i saw a great price on this TV and i was so happy with my last one I decided to try out their 4K tv. Wow what a great buy. Im very happy. Turns out this TV is mainly made by LG and their version is several hundred dollars more expensive. Buy with confidence.

This ROKU TV kicks a**!! We needed a TV to pair with our new stereo in the formal area. We primarily use this area to listen to music and play music videos so the TV was only there as the GUI for the AVR. At this price point, I was skeptical but not concerned about performance considering our primary purpose for it. This TV is amazing. Our videos look awesome. The ROKU system is also perfect for instant media sharing via PLEX and networking to the rest of the home. Very good TV for the price. I will put one of these in each of the kid's room when it's time for Santa.

I was a bit sceptical at buying an Insignia brand but saw the great reviews and decided to try it. Was pleasantly surprised. Great picture and easy to navigate interface. I've been using the Roku over my firestick because it feels so much easier to use. I did find the sound to be lacking. The background noise would be loud but I could hardly hear the dialog even after turning the volume way up.

This 4K tv is"the bomb dot com"!! Easy to use. Picture perfect clarity. Can use you smart phone or tablet as the remote. But the remote that comes with the tv makes the tv even easier to use. Bottom line!! This tv is excellent. Recommended it to my cousin and she went out and got her boyfriend one, and he loves it just as much as I love mines. Buy one!!
