Bought it for my mother not knowing you needed several accounts and passwords just to get to watch regular tv. Streaming services I can understand, but why do I need an Amazon account to hook up to cable? Online services are getting out of control!

It says “No signal detected,” and doesn’t say what to do next. Usually if I wait a half hour it fixes itself. I don’t like the uncertainty of being able to watch my program.

Good TV but software needs work

I have 5 of these TVs and 3 are in kids room with parental controls. Display and sounds are great for the price but the software needs work. I kids figured out how to bypass parental control code and there is no way for me to fix it. When they parental control code pops up all they have to do is hit the settings button and pick a profile without parental controls. Since only kids profile can have parental controls there is no way to fix it. I can't hide profiles since they updated the software, which a lot of people are upset about. Amazon needs to work on their software to allow better options for parental controls. So if you have kids who are somewhat smart I wouldn't recommend this TV simply because of the lacking software.
