Magnificent TV To have

I caught it on sale and I was surprised with the clarity. I brought it because we needed an update for my son and he plays movies from him phone on the tv all the time.

Also got Dish guy to help set it up easier now . Seems to be decent TV. TV was SMART enough to teach ole dog new tricks !

Fine low-cost TV, but…

However, I have a longer-than-usual HDMI cable running to the TV location. My other TVs are just fine with the HDMI signal they receive at this location. However, this TV's internal HDMI circuitry must be suffering from cost-cutting. It can't display the signal at all. Also, I haven't been able to figure out how to set it up as a plain TV monitor. I don't need the Internet connection or any special services, so I bypassed those items during the setup process. When I turn on the TV, I expect it to display what's arriving on the HDMI 1 input that I selected upon the previous viewing. Nope! The TV requires me to select the HDMI 1 input every time. Not cool.
