I was looking for a low cost 40 inch tv and this completely passed the test at a great price.

Have had the TV for almost 3 years, in office used mostly for 100s of hours of Nintendo Switch , some Blu Rays from various including Anchor Bay and Vinegar Syndrome, Some PS4 ,Aerial Reception and firestick. Excellent TV , no blurring in faster motion Console games, 1080 blu Ray looks good, of course being true 60hz no "soap opera" effect. If you looking for a "GOING TO WORK" power up and go 1080P tv no frills or other issues this is it. I Actually use old JBL Platinum Series PC speakers via the 3.5mm headphone jack for Stereo Sound, so I can not comment on internal speakers. I ahve seen many TV from Samsungs, Sony, and even other Insignia that don't hand a candle to this work horse... it might not be reference style 4k but I don't get any of the hassles from 4k, 120hz+ motion compensation, Smart TV integration. I might be in Tech Industry but I believe a Device should do one thing well and leave addon devices for other stuff. I also have associates with the same tv who also find it better than their other "smart TVs" , and higher selling feature based units. I describe this tv as one of those unicorn products that rarely come along.

Clear and crisp picture and very light. I bought it as a gift for my mother and she loves it.

Bought this tv for my husband. It's a bit larger then I wanted but was on sale for the same price as the 2 smaller sizes. Hubby was very happy! Pic quality is incrediable. The only thing I do not like is that it talks to you, "power on power off volume up 21 volume 22 " etc. She's annoying. Hoping he changes the settings soon! Lol

Bought this to replace an older TV and found the picture and setup to be very easy.

Bought this for my mother who is 89 years old. Wanted something without all of the "bells and whistles" that most tvs have this day. Knew that scrolling through menus was not for her. Just turn it on, select the channel and watch tv! Searched to find a non-smart tv (dumb tv?). This Insignia was on sale, the right size and had the right feature set. Very pleased with purchase.

Let’s face it, at this point all these TVs have pretty darn good pictures. I bought this tv for my work shop, to replace a smaller one I had in there. I wasn’t impressed with the volume through my soundbar. I could barely hear it over the air conditioner. It would probably be fine in the house but didn’t work for what I needed. I went back to my smaller tv as it had much better volume control with my soundbar

Good tv. Nice picture. Easy to set up. A good temp tv until I get my 75 inch 4K sony

I have a vision problem but still like to compute with the generation(s) born to it. This 43" beast was the same price as the 40" units. It was a no-brainer decision and just barely fit in the available space. Add one commodity HDMI cable and I'm in business. It looks great, works great and completely satisfies my expectations. Plus, I route my computer audio through the HDMI digital interface for great sound.

Okay so not really tech savvy but installed simply and picture is great no screen cutoff old Panasonic 5 disc CD changer hooked up nice while reading about sound problems even without surround system hooked up sound is great and Roku is great on it too thank gosh for multiple hdmi hookups. We love this TV maybe because it's not ancient but was really good bargain as long as it lasts.
