I needed a TV and for $199 and pretty good reviews I decided on this one. I just hooked it up today and all I know is that it works! HD picture is good, but not so much on SD channels. Sound is good enough for me. The sound went out on my previous TV in only 2 years, so I paid a lot of attention to that in reviews. Easy to program too, even with the Direct TV remote.

We were looking for the opportunity to upgrade to HD LED TV (Decided to leave the dark ages!) and thought this would be a good first step at a good price! So far, so good!! Our snuggle time on the couch has been enhanced because of the picture and sound quality! Thank you very much!!

We needed a screen we could hook up to our Mac Mini to watch movies and stream school videos, and the price for this screen was nearly identical to a much smaller screen, so we went for the bigger one. The resolution is excellent, and I like the sturdy, four-legged base.

Purchased for my mother in law. She needed something a little bigger with a clear picture. She did not need a smart tv or anything complicated for her. At 84, she has learned all the tricks she wants to. She just wants to watch a few shows and sports. She is ecstatic over the TV.

Great quality for a lot cheaper than some other TVs out there. Clear picture and clean sound. Only thing I notice is when turning on, the sound kinda “pops” even if you have the volume turned low. Might make you jump if you forget to lower the volume before turning it off.

Works great, clear picture, good sound (even for elderly ears). Very pleased with it, especially for the price during the holiday sales season. Have had the TV for two weeks, and will see about its reliability over time. I have had another Insignia TV for 5 years with no problems.

The tv is good. Picture is nice, however the volume isn’t too great

Bought TV at $179 sale price. Basic LED TV, very good picture, sound is surprisingly good, plenty of volume. Unable to pair Comcast remote control with TV. Must use TV remote for on/off and volume, use Comcast remote for channel changes. Optical input jack on TV is not accessible, optical cable will not fit. Got 2-year service plan JIC.

I had bought a 39" Insignia 2 years ago at about the same price but always thought that one was just a little too small. So to find the same price but larger LED TV, couldn't let that go. Prefect for the bedroom where I'm just watching random stuff on TV before bed.

The TV is a good size for the money and is decent quality.

The picture quality on this TV is very good, especially considering the price. Sound is average but not an issue for me as I use it as a monitor most of the time. Has enough inputs for my needs. Quite happy with the purchase, having caught it on sale.

I braved the Black Friday crowds to buy a 43" flat screen; they were sold out of the cheapest one advertised by email, but a very helpful staff member directed me to an open box special that more than met my needs. It was easy and intuitive to set up with a BlueRay player and my laptop. I am thrilled to be able to watch films again!

Great TV for the low price tag. Lightweight so mounting is easy.

The screen is clear and dark pictures are seen with no problem. Overall I love this tv. Only thing I noticed is sometimes movie volumes are too low - I turn it all the way up but can still have trouble hearing talking. It only happens in certain videos so maybe it has something to do with the medium and not the tv.

I was very happy with this T.V. I purchased for my mom. It has an earphone jack that I was able to connect her surround sound speakers to. Now she can use her speakers with her record player or her T.V. as well. The picture is incredible and the sound is awesome.

We were looking for a mid-size TV for a room that gets occasional use. I looked at this set in the store, and liked the over all quality of the picture. The sound is reasonable for the size of the room it is in. We didn't need a smart TV for this room, as we use a HTPC.

The TV was easy to set up when I got it out of the box. I feel like the two legs on each end aren't sturdy enough to hold it up well, so I will be buying a mount to put it up on the wall. I've tried tightening the screws, but it still wobbles. It has a nice picture, clear screen. The volume works well. Hopefully I'll get a good few years out of it!
