Right out of the box worked fine. I mostly play movies from a large hard drive. When I installed the ROKU controls and settings...about 40 minutes worth of downloading, the scrolling features for jumping to different services, and for playing movies turned this this DOG into a DOG. After installing the Roku TV features and channels, imagine this: push a button on the controller, and count to three, before the TV actually responds. My solution since I don't use the online function very much, was to return the software to factory condition. This made the scrolling work fine. I am no techie, but this sounds like a lack of RAM to access the apps and channels.. Strongly suggest you pass on this TV and either go with a ROKU box media player or another ROKU enabled TV
