Love it, 2 flaws
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1) This does not have PIP, Picture in Picture. 2) It should have a simple way to disconnect from WiFi when not in use, and save your password. As it is you have to delete your WiFi connection each time and re-enter your password to reconnect. Btw, while WiFi is disconnected, the tv's power light continually blinks. I had to cover the power light.

Died after 1 year. Get a warranty
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this TV and the built-in Roku but after having it and taking good care of it, it still died after buying it 1 year and 3 months ago. I brought it in to my Best Buy that I bought it at and they basically told me that stuff like that happens and I just got unlucky with a bad TV. Which maybe I did get unlucky or it could possibly be that Insignia is the lowest of the low when it comes to TV's which is interesting because Best Buy owns them. It's my fault for not getting the warranty but also leave it up to Best Buy to make bad TV's. Either way they made money off of me because I bought another TV but this time a Sharp. We'll see if this one will last longer than a year, if not then Best Buy won't see my business anymore.

No Sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has a decent picture and I like the features. Unfortunately, no matter what I do the TV's sound does not work all the time. I've had this TV about a month now and it continues to do this. I am very disappointed and like others will probably not recommend this TV. I am hoping as others that have had this same problem that this is just a defective unit. I am going to see if Best Buy will stand behind it and get me a replacement.

Worst TV I have ever bought
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this TV for about 6 months. The idea of this tv is great and to be honest the picture quality is really good for a tv not named Samsung. BUT at the end of the day, you buy a tv to watch it and this tv is the worst because it cuts out and shuts off MULTIPLE times a day. Usually right when there’s a big play in the game or as important events happen in a movie. I have never been more frustrated with a tv in my life. Big miss by Roku, Insignia, and Beat Buy :(

Random dimming renders this a bad choice.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not going to bother with positive aspects of this TV, as the two main flaws are all that is relevant. The first problem is that if you connect it to a network, you MUST sign up for Roku or else you can't use the TV AT ALL for ANYTHING. You can't even get into the settings to reset the network or make any change whatsoever. This is not a deal breaker for me, but it is annoying. The other problem is an absolute deal breaker, and that is that the screen randomly dims during use. I say "randomly" because there doesn't seem to be any reason for this dimming behavior, despite the fact there does seem to a pattern to it. The effect is that the TV seems to be altering the brightness settings automatically based on . . . something indecipherable. I tried multiple devices and hdmi cables and saw no improvement. I also updated the firmware, again with no benefit. After searching online for a solution, I found that this is a common problem with some Insignia TVs. Their support recommended altering various settings that this model doesn't have. Poorly done, Insignia. Poorly done indeed! This one is going back to the store, and I will not again purchase an Insignia TV.

By far the worst television I've ever purchased
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within three months of purchasing this television, I began having issues, such as it freezing, restarting, not turning on or off, and just turning off all on it's own. If I need to pause or rewind, forget it - the television crashes and cannot handle these basic functions, regardless of the app. I contacted Insignia to report this and have someone look at it, but arranging for their technician was even painful. There was a day that they did not show or call, and then a day that they arrived when I didn't schedule the appointment. This was a very frustrating experience, and the television continues to act up. This is absolutely, 100% the worst television I've ever owned and I will never purchase a product from this manufacturer again.

Not recommended
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the insignia 4K 55” with Roku for about 2 months and today I come home from work and we try to watch tv. First the remote did not work any button pushed only launched Hulu but you could not move, browse or select show. So I downloaded the Roku app and used my phone as a remote, well the tv went black with no sound only subtitles. I will be returning this junk

Buy a brand name
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful picture when it worked. Stopped working for no apparent reason after moderate, practical use. No picture, no sound but light for on/off switch blinks and makes click noise indicating connection. purchased in 2018 garbage in 2022? wow.

The TV Smells Bad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The moment I turned on the TV, it started to give off a burning plastic smell. It lasted for a week, so I returned the TV and exchanged it for a compatible Sharp model. The Sharp model is EXACTLY the same TV with a different label, and it also smelled really bad. It too is going back. My whole house smells like burning plastic. Why is Best Buy selling crap that it knows has a problem. The lady at the customer service counter knew all about the problem and why I was returning the TV. Apparently this is a common problem with Insignia and Best Buy's other lower-end 4K TVs. Shame on Best Buy for selling this junk.

Backlight issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Backlight stopped working -- not sure if it is worthwhile to repair. My hisense tv that was two years older is still working so it was disappointing this tv didn't last very long

This thing is trash
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had it for a week, it's garbage. Way too often I turn it on to find that there is "no internet connection", when my internet connection on every other device is flawless. The screen is awful. At first glance it seems nice, but there are noticeable areas that seem just a smidge darker and more importantly, you can see this weird vertical bar left of center that looks like a part of the screen is being pushed by something behind. It's not noticeable all the time but if you're sitting to the side and certain colors are on the screen (particularly the uniform green of a soccer field for example) it's very annoying.

Terrible! Avoid at all costs!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this for a friend less that 2 and a half months ago and today the screen completely went out. Did all troubleshooting and replaced the HDMI cable, but the screen still stays black. Called Best Buy and they said there is noting they can do. Called Insignia and they said they will send someone out, but that they won't arrive until next week to "Look at it". Will never buy Insignia again!!!! Also, after looking into it further, others have reported the same issue. Very disappointing!

Complete piece of junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Enjoy resetting the tv every other day to connect to the wifi network...This TV is located in the den with the router and can't it still can't stay connected. By contrast my LG TV in my basement never loses its connection. This is what I get for trying to save a couple of dollars. Should have known better than to stray away from the branded TVs. Will be returning/exchanging for a quality item.

The Roku Feature is worthless
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is absolute garbage. The wifi adapter on these "smart" TVs is so weak it can't pick up a wifi signal from 20' away with no closed doors or walls. I had a new adapter put in assuming it was bad, and it had zero effect. A gaming console at the same position has no problem with the wifi. Save yourself the headache and buy a regular TV (that isn't Insignia) and buy an external Roku.

Insignia Cheap Company
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My panel went bad after less than 4 years. They no longer sell them and he said that they were real expensive anyways. I tried to get Insignia to give me a replacement one, they said no. I am done with Insignia.
