No NIC GUI. Can't assign Static IP
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While the typical features for a 4K Ultra Roku TV are fair quality, the TV does not provide a user interface for management of the NIC (wired nor wireless). You can't even get the MAC addresses via the TV menus. I have a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 router which I have assigned a different IP and Subnet addresses rather than just using the defaults. The router works fine with most devices I connect to it however some devices seem to have difficulty connecting when they encounter other than default addresses. This is not typically an issue as I can use a static IP for those devices and then everything works. This TV provides no access for management of the network card. I contacted Tech Support and they said sorry, we don't provide a GUI for that. End result is that I can't get the TV to connect to the internet. If you try to manage the security of your router instead of using the defaults (195.168.0.1 or 195.168.1.1) then I recommend that you do not buy this TV. If you don't care enough about your security to educate yourself about router management then it may work for you and the hacker that gets through your firewall.
