Had gotten off Direct TV and no cable at all. did buy an antenna. Is there a book that I can get to understand the remote better than just turning it on and off. Never had a smart TV before this one or the other Roku TV.

We had a fire stick with our previous TV and loved it, so it made sense to us to just get an Amazon Fire TV this time around. I also didn't think there would be much of a difference between 1080p and 4K, but I was wrong. The picture is amazing, and the sound on this TV is also fabulous. We're so happy with this purchase!

It is fire stick based so menus and navigation is different from traditional TVs. Don't know how tv would perform without high speed Internet, it is highly recommended. It will pick up local air broadcasting so cable, satellite or Internet isn't mandatory. Would definitely recomend even more so if your a current firestick or Amazon prime user.

I ended up getting a larger tv then I started looking for because of the price. It was easy to hook up and is easy to use. The only problem is I can not get HBO. I guess that’s because I am not a subscriber, so I guess I will have to get a subscription. Besides that everything works great and the picture looks good.
