This tv is the worst I ever had. I got it on July 4, 2022 and it was already messing up so bad that I can't watch anything. 20 days is all it lasted. July 4, 2022 to July 24, 2022. If that's not a piece of junk, I don't know what is.

I've owned this TV for exactly 119 days today since purchase and it's now got horizontal lines all over the screen and incredibly poor picture across all inputs. Guess I'll be finding out how good the 1 year manufacture warranty is

I should not have ordered online. It turns out that the color is fine if you are viewing from directly in front. So, I sit about 5 feet away and move 5 feet to the side and the color lightens so much that the news casters look like ghosts. Adjusting the color only made it worse. The TV we replaced never had this problem. Nor do the other 3 TVs we have.

The picture is going out in less than a year. Colors bleed so bad we're not able to define the picture at times. Burn out in the lower right corner with lines across at the bottom. Tried to claim under warranty and never heard back from the manufacturer on status of the claim after the tech came out to verify. Bought 11/22. Had to buy another Insignia TV 8/23.

Came "Geek Squad Certified" but when I got it not only did it have a whole in the box, it had no bubble wrap or anything to protect it, it had a crack on the screen and it was missing the screws to instll the feet! The TV itself though is pretty decent.

Insignia 43" TV - Adjusted Settings

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I purchased this TV about 9 months ago and it has been excellent! It's a non-smart TV, which is what I was looking for. You don't purchase an inexpensive TV for ultimate picture and sound quality. You need to understand this going in! If you know how to adjust picture quality, and are willing to spend some time doing this, you'll be rewarded with a great picture for the little amount this LED TV costs! I was able to snag it for less than $170 new! I have a test DVD that allows me to adjust for the best picture quality. I spent a fair amount of time and am very happy with the results. For those of you who wish to implement the settings I found to work best, here they are... Backlight - 20 Brightness - 51 Contrast - 51 Sharpness - 0 Color - 39 Tint - 0 Advanced Settings Aspect Ratio -Normal Overscan - Off Dynamic Backlight - Off Color Temperature - Normal Noise Reduction - Off Dynamic Contrast - Off As to sound quality, no one should expect great sound from the small speakers in the majority of thin-screen TV's. If you do, you're kidding yourselves! I have my TV mounted on the wall, above my dresser. On the dresser, just below the TV, I'm using a Z-Vox Sound Base. I couldn't be happier with the picture quality and sound I get from such an inexpensive TV! The supplied picture is after all adjustments have been made. I think it looks pretty darn good!!

    Third Time Was The Charm!

I am very pleased with this purchase! Prior to buying this t.v., I bought a 43" (store brand from a place that starts with a, "W"). It had picture and audio issues. I returned it for a replacement. They sent me the same brand, just a slightly different model. I could not believe it...The second t.v. had the same two exact issues!!! I returned it for a refund and found this one. Third time was a charm with Best Buy. The picture is great, the sound is awesome (it has DTS, Dolby Theatre Sound), and the price was well worth it! I actually only paid $149.99. Thank You, Best Buy!!

Really great TV! I’ve got my ps3, ps4 and original PlayStation hooked up to it. Pretty light weight, set up was super easy, especially with un mounting my old tv and mounting this one. Watching stuff on it is great, and playing video games on it is awesome! I love it so much, especially since the price wasn’t too bad for the size. I mostly use it for console gaming and YouTube app on my PS4. No complaints at all, well worth the money!

I bought this television for my mother who is bed bound. It was very easy to set up. It's simple for her to operate. The remote is laid out well. It is on almost 24 hours a day. So far there are no issues to report. The size is perfect for her dresser and for her to see from her bed. I was able to handle it without anyone else helping, but that may not be the case for everyone. The colors are vibrant. The picture is very nice.

Brand Name: I was wary of the brand because I'd never had an Insignia before but the reviews were good and it had all the features I needed and wanted. I've been pleasantly surprised so far. The tv works great, color is good, options are nice. Picture/Colors: The picture is clear, and the colors are good. I have not noticed any pixelation or graininess at all. It looks good. Cleaning screen of smudges due to leg installation was a bit annoying as it tended to streak a bit but I've read that LEDs tend to do that. Sound: Sound is good - Sound is awesome in fact. I often keep it at the very lowest level so that it doesn't disturb the neighbors (thin walls) but I can hear it fine in a small room even set at the very lowest level of 1. Remote Control: No issues that I've seen. I haven't tried to control other devices with it so I'm unsure if it has that feature. The glow-in-the-dark remote control buttons were a very nice surprise. Stand: If there were anything I would change, it would be the legs - getting those screwed on took longer than setting up the tv did and was a slight annoyance as it got the screen smudged trying to do it and had to lay it flat and manipulate it to get to the screwholes. I'd have preferred one central stand that either is built in or screws on rather than two legs which feel flimsy to me. However, now that it is set up, I'm satisifed with the purchase and have no qualms recommending it (and if you plan to mount it, the legs wouldn't be an issue anyway). Price/Value: It was a good purchase and on sale so I got it at a good price too. In fact, I looked at it online one day and it was on sale but our nearest store is an hour drive so it was a day or two before I had time to go and by then the sale price had dropped another $10 (or maybe the in-store price was a little lower) but that was another nice surprise. Overall: This is not a smart tv but I was not looking for and did not want one. I love the glow in the dark buttons on the remote. Closed captioning works good. Colors and pictures are good and sound is very good. It was a great purchase that had all the features I wanted at an affordable price and was on sale as well. I'd never heard of or used the Insignia brand before but I've been pleasantly surprised so far and have no qualms recommending it. Additional Info from an In-store Reviewer I met when I bought it: While considering it in the store the day I bought it, another customer saw me looking and commented on the brand to me, and he highly recommended it as well. He said that he had bought one online which came with a box that was dinged pretty badly in shipping but that it was packaged so well that the tv was fine and worked great and continued to work. He said that he was moving that one to a bedroom and shopping for another of that brand in a bigger screen size for his living room. It was his in-store review in part that convinced me to go ahead and try the Insignia brand tv, and so far I've found he was right and it was a great buy.

I did not want a smart TV since I consider that redundant since I already have a set top box. So I searched for dumb TVs and found very few available but fortunately Best But sells a line of Insignia dumb LED TVs. These are HD TVs but not 4K TVs but that's OK because my previous TV that went out on me was a 4K TV and I could never tell the difference between 4K and 1080P anyway. Plus I mostly watch OTA which is not available in 4K in my area. So I did not need a 4K TV. I got the 43 inch model although the same model comes in other screen sizes. Its cost was very reasonable and the picture quality is excellent. And if you like to play around with the settings, this TV has just about every setting you would need. It also has an optical out jack for audio which I use to connect its audio to my stereo system. It was easy to set up and I was up and running in a few minutes. I have had it for a month and so far there are no negatives. I think it's an excellent TV especially considering its sub $200 price..

This TV replaced a TCL 43 inch that was less than two years old that just went kaput. First of all, this tv is made really well. It is sturdy and stable but not too heavy. The set up process was so easy and the unit fired up really quickly. In just a few minutes I had the picture adjusted just right and I was in business. This is a really good product with a nice picture and pretty good sound as well. The remote is old school but very functional. Overall this is a super value with a great picture too. Highly recommended!

Set up was easy, picture and sound are good. Leg attachments actually work but they are a bit tricky. The packaging on the 2 stands indicates right or left side as you face the back of the unit as it is placed on a flat surface protected by a soft cloth. They are placed diagonally on the unit, and you will notice a hook like piece on both that you will need to place and turn slightly to be able to be able to place the screws. Since the screws are recessed, you may need a flashlight to properly fit them. You may feel you have screwed it in, but still test it. If it wobbles, screw in some more until it is secure. If you have a Firestick, you will find that the HDMI ports are spaced too close together to place the stick in the HDMI port and be able to use the adjacent port. To get around this, you will have to use an HDMI male to female extender cable. If you have a Firestick, this unit does not take it out of sleep mode when the unit is turned on as with other televisions. Hold down the home button on the remote to do this after you have selected the assigned HDMI port. Overall, a good no frills unit that works great and is a good value.

    Cheap replacement of old televisions!

Very Nice. I am going to give this one 5 stars without trying to reflect on the overall rating of the product. I upgraded a 13 year old television because it was not accepting my computer. This television is exactly what I wanted without any smart features. Of course I have use for the connections too. Like, a Playstation 2, PC and a BluRay/DVD player. I watch TV with a digital antenna and that seems to work a little better now with greater display and sound options. And I was able to get the same 43" screen size. I just wanted to say it works with every PC screen setting. And it has a GAME button to work out any possible aspect corrections. Thank you.

Based on the discounted Best Buy price of $150 and 1080P picture resolution, this 43 inch is a lot of TV. I thought it was a misprint when I saw the price in the store. Very light. I hanged this myself with a fully adjustable bracket. Corner to corner inside the screen measurement is 42 1/2 inches. 3.5mm headphone out is connected to the amplifier and headphone with a splitter cable.
