Paint and finish on the power box look great in the case. Wiring harness is well done and easy to string through an ATX desktop box. Cords have enough length to string behind the motherboard up top to CPU power connector as well as to reach the front two fans in the box. Plenty of power to supply board, video card, hard drive, 6 120mm fans, DVD drive, card reader, 5 additional 3.0 USB connections, an SSD drive, stereo speakers and a gaming headset. It also powered an external hard drive for backup.

I have only been running this power supply for a few weeks, but thus far it has been performing without issue, and runs quietly enough. I used this to replaced a power supply that went out on an older device being used for general purposes. Although the device is not often pushed hard, the Insignia has handled everything well when it has been pushed. I can comfortably recommend the Insignia for any general purpose replacement.

Good power supplies for the price. Matches other PSUs of similar specs, quality, and tier, in my opinion. (Thermaltake, PowerSpec, Corsair, ETC) Find an open box one and you got a good deal! Voted 4/5 because(at least on the ones I bought) there is no cable ties or sheathing around the wires keeping them nicely cabled together; looks rather messy if you dont use your own, as the wires are multi colored and not a flat black color. Most other PSUs around this price range usually have that sort of thing out of the box, or at least the wires are black. Still a good unit regardless of this cosmetic issue.

Works well, I didn't use it for long (about 3 weeks), as I replaced it with a modular PSU. Not being modular is a bit annoying, but for the price its great.

I purchased the power supply mainly for testing motherboards. The noise level is low for the cost My only cons is the plus 4 for power and the CPU power connectors not being able to attach together. I could not snap the CPU power connectors to act as one and the use of wire ties made it difficult to plug into the motherboard. The ATX power plus 4 was the same. Who uses wire ties anymore. the main bundle out of the box had a wire tie instead of a reusable twist tie. The only reasons for 4 instead of 5 stars

Nice economical power supply that does just what it is supposed to do, supply power. This is no some high end gaming unit, I have it installed in a FreeNAS machine that doesn't have a high demand for power, it just runs. I have 5 hard drives and 6 fans running on this without issue. I wish it would come with more than 4 SATA power supplies but for most peoples use that would be plenty.
