A little loud when its cooling. When it reaches the desired temp it quiets down. However its great at keeping the drinks at the perfect ice cold temp without freezing.

The mini fridge meets my needs but there is a big dent in the fridge due to packaging ropes causing damage. Not worth replacing so just going to live with it.

I have owned a few different mini refrigerators in my life but never one made specifically for cans. I am a huge diet cola drinker so this was definitely a must have for me. The look of this thing is great. It has the luxury look of a wine refrigerator with the glass ands stainless steel door. The black casing on the rest of it compliments the stainless teel very well and fits great in my little kitchen area. Setting this up was easy and quick. It took longer to remove the tape and protective pieces...haha. Once I had all that removed, I just plugged it in and it did it's thing. I love the controls and display. They are right on the front and make it easy to use. The digital display for the temperature is great. Large enough to see and don't have to look super close, like when using a dial, to see the set temperature. The size is great and it does what it says and fits 48 cans without issue. The slide out rack is definitely a nice touch and makes it easy top grab something in the back instead of having to reach over everything. All in all, this is a great little beverage fridge and I enjoy it very much.

Classy looking piece. The stainless steel finish looks really nice. The glass door adds to the cool factor. The door is reversible, in case you would like it to open to the left instead of the right. I like the fact that it tells you what it will cost per year to run ($33), and that when it does run it is nearly silent.
We use it to hold both sodas and energy drinks. I fit a 24-pack of soda on the upper level and another 18 cans of energy drinks on the bottom level. It has a digital display inside the door which is one of my favorite aspects of the fridge. It can go as low as 34 degrees, which is what I keep it at. It took a day and a half to cool initially, but after that I only hear it fire up occasionally.
In use, and set at 34 degrees, it keeps beverages ice cold. I can tell a definitive difference between how well it cools and how well my much bigger kitchen fridge cools. There is no competition. I highly recommend this unit. It gets ice cold, it runs nice and quiet, it doesn't take much power to run, and it looks amazing.

The fridge doesn’t hold 48 cans! And this can keep temps low but not chilled enough.

Cool Beverages Within Arm's Reach

I've always liked my beverages cold, ice cold. A cooler than can maintain a 34º temperature fits the bill. This 48-can Beverage Cooler from Insignia is just perfect for my home office/man-cave. It's large enough to house a significant amount of beverages, yet small enough to take up a minimal amount of space in your living area.
There isn't much to do to set it up. I was up and running in no time at all. Initially, I considered setting it up in my garage, but the manual was pretty clear about not doing that. Once it was unpacked and cleaned, I placed six 16.7 bottles of water inside. Depending on the type of bottle, I was able to stand them up inside of the cooler; other sized bottles had to be stored lying down. Placing several bottles at once inside the cooler takes a longer time for them to cool, even with the Quick Cool feature. The Quick Cool feature runs for 24 hours and cools the contents quickly.
The temperature control functions are clearly visible through the glass door of the cooler. The internal temperature range setting is between 34º to 50º F. I have mine set at 34º. I put a thermometer/humidity gauge inside to monitor the internal temperature of the cooler. The front of the cooler ran between 40-45º and the back of the cooler ran between 32º-36º. Whenever I opened the door, no matter how briefly, the inside temperature soared to 45-50º, and took about 15 minutes for the temperature to cool back down to 34º. Because of that, I wouldn't recommend constantly opening and closing the door or the cooler will be running constantly trying to maintain your desired temperature.
The cooler emits a low humming noise whenever the chiller are running. But it's fairly quiet for the most part.
For me, this cooler is a nice appliance to have. No more running downstairs for cold beverages. It's large enough to store several bottles, even though it was designed for cans. Highly recommended.

Good little beverage fridge

Insignia, a Best Buy brand, once again does not disappoint with a robust little beverage refrigerator.
In my case, this unit was received in order to help facility parties by the pool -- after all, who would not want to have their drinks at the ready without having to go back inside (or whever you go!) to get your favorite beverage.
In this case, while the fridge comes in around 40 lbs and is a bit bulky, it can nevertheless be put to good use in a shady area of the covered portion of your patio.
It includes various features, such as a light that makes a sound when you turn it on or off. There is a digital temperature read-out that's in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. There is also a "quick cool" mode, though, like most refrigerators this size, don't expect an immediate cool-down; it will still take a couple hours before maximum temperature is reached. Also, any settings are stored in memory, so when you unplug the unit and plug it back in, your settings are there. As a final touch, the door can be changed positions in case you prefer installing in more of a semi-permanent location.
Overall, this is a great fridge for drinks. Only the upper shelf is adjustable.

The Best Value Clear Door Fridge

I initially selected this fridge over 3 years ago after many, many days of research into the "budget, clear-door mini fridge" market. Now after these years of near-continuous use, I'm back to say i can't imagine having chosen better! If you are on the fence, this is THE one.
-First off and most importantly in this price range, it actually stays COLD: I've kept it set at the lowest 34 degrees F nearly the whole time I've owned it and it delivers truly ice cold drinks every time. A thin layer of ice actually forms on the back wall of the fridge at this temp setting, so you know it really does get down near freezing in there. This alone makes it a winner but some other benefits:
-Durability: It's survived two moves and 3 years of constant operation. Still seems to work as well as day 1.
-Appearance: It definitely looks more expensive than it costs.
-Versatilty: I actually had to swap the door orientation once and i can confirm the fridge works equally well with the door installed on either side. (This is very helpful to be able to do if it's placed in a corner.)

Super quiet and cools fast

Very impressed so far. Using the cooler for about three days now, it’s been a rock solid performer.
Packaging was very good, lots of Styrofoam inside to help mitigate any dents or dings.
Overall the effort was there, however my unit still showed up with a few dents. Luckily all the dents are on the backside where they are not readily visible when in use. Manual says to make sure to stand upright for at least 30 mins before powering on, in case it was on its side in shipping. I took that time to clean out the inside with some warm soapy water, just to get rid of the new appliance smell. Once powered on it’s whisper quiet, not distracting at all, so perfect for being able to place the cooler wherever you’d like, would also be perfect for a dorm room. The door is reversible with handles on both sides, simply swap the hinges on top and bottom. Out of the box mine opened left to right, which was fine for me. It’s also lightweight. While it feels solidly built, its not overly heavy and very easy to move around. The bottom and corners do have some sharp edges, so be careful where you place it as to not scratch your surfaces. It also has self leveling feet, so any wobble you might have out of the box can be adjusted easily so it sits flush on any surface.
It cooled down very nicely after plugging it in. A few hours and it was nice and cold. I loaded it up with room temperature cans of soda, bottles of water and some other assorted drinks, and used the Rapid Chill feature which was amazing. It rapidly increases the coolness temp to get your drinks nice and cold, and it worked like a charm. The bottom shelf has a guard to keep items from rolling out and the top shelf is adjustable in a few different heights and can be removed all together, so you can always accommodate whatever it is you need to keep cold. The glass door is nice and big, easy to see inside and the light is very bright. The touch controls are located inside the door across the top. The door seals very nice but has a nice easy open feel to it. The look is very basic but clean, should blend in with most decors easily.
Super happy with it.

Compact, Convenient, Spacious with Reversible Door

This is a compact, convenient way to keep beverages cool and free up space in the fridge. The black exterior with stainless steel and glass door give it a nice look. That’s good, since the instructions call for several inches of clearance all around, and specifically says not to put it in a cabinet, so this really needs to be a free-standing appliance. Especially since the sides can get pretty warm while the cooling cycle is going (the manual says this is normal).
The fridge arrived with the door set up for left-side opening (hinges on the right), but I swapped that right away because of where I was going to set it up. It wasn’t terribly hard to do – took about 20 minutes. The result is a door that’s level and working properly. However, the instructions weren’t very detailed, some of the holes didn’t line up as exactly as I would have liked.
This has a 48 can capacity, but that applies only to standard, 12 oz cans. My goal was a more diverse mix, and I’m happy with the results. Right now, I am cooling ten 12 oz cans, eight 16 oz cans, four 12 oz longneck bottles, two 750-mL wine bottles, and a couple of 20 ounce water bottles. The larger bottles are lying on their sides, but there’s still room to spare inside.
Overall, this beverage cooler is compact yet spacious enough to chill a good number of beverages in a variety of containers. It looks attractive enough, and wasn’t hard to set up or swap the door hinges. I’d recommend it to anyone who is looking for an entry-level option to keep their drinks cold and free up space in their fridge.

A Cool Cooler

The Insignia 48-Can Beverage Cooler does just that, cools beverages. The. e beverage cooler comes in a large box, well insulated with Styrofoam. The unboxing process with removal of added packing took less than 5-minutes with cooler up and going after flipping through the instruction pamphlet within a total of 10-minutes. The unit requires a 115V, 60Hz power supply that is grounded. The cooler door comes with the handle of left side opening toward the right but it is able to be reversed depending on the area one wishes to place the cooler. There is also an adjustable bottom foot to assist in leveling the cooler. I did not reverse the door, but the instructions seem simple enough probably taking most 5-10 minutes to complete. Once plugged in there is a temperature display on the top of the unit that has buttons to adjust temperature. Temperature is able to be set between 34-50F. I set the unit to 38F and it was cooled down within an hour. The unit itself did get hot on the sides and top during the initial cooling process, but that sensation has stopped after the initial cooling. The unit also has a light that may be toggled on and off. I have got it up and going with my stash of drinks – which is not limited only to cans honestly – and pending the cooling unit continues doing the job it has been will be very pleased

Decent little beverage cooler

As the title indicates, this is a decent little beverage cooler. It has a digital temperature gauge so you know at all times what the temperature inside the refrigerator/cooler is. You can also swap the door side if you prefer, it looks pretty simple but I left it where it was.
The reason I didn't give it five stars though is two-fold. First, it took what seemed like a very long time to get to the set temperature even though I set it to the fast cool mode. Once it cooled down, it stayed cool though. However, after a few days I found that even though the fridge was set to 37 degrees, which I set all my refrigerators to, the cans on the top shelf in the back near the fan/cooler started to freeze. So while moving the cans forward and using the bottom shelf will work, you lose capacity this way. It also started to develop frost there as well.
Overall though, it's a decent cooler, I just can't count on the full capacity. I turned up the temperature to 38 degrees and didn't see an improvement either, I feel it's just the design. I still recommend it though as a decent option for a beverage cooler.
