    Do. Your. RESEARCH.

The reason I say do your research is Best Buy conviniently leaves out one of the biggest flaws with this tv. You see the "49" inch display, HDTV, 1080p, dts, only under $220.00 ect... All of those things are fantastic; However, what they leave out unless you click multiple links under the "specs" option is that this television is only 60hz. If the television were smaller this wouldn't be as big of an issue, but because it is such a big television there is a lot of streakiness, and occasionally blurry lines. If the movie, or show you're watching is fast paced it is even more pronounced. I use mine mostly for gaming and Amazon Prime. Both tend to play out better because I can control the max resolution and refresh rate of 1080p, 60hz. The issue arises when I try to watch cable and the incoming signal dictates the best optimization, usually dropping both resolution and refresh rate. Outside of that I have only had one other problem, after the tv sits on input for a period of time, if I switch back to cable it gets a white noise-like snowy vision, and lines. I turn the tv off and then back on and this goes away. The only reason I haven't gone to exercise the 2-year protection plan is personal free time, and sporadic issue (it doesn't happen all the time.) If I could recommend you the customer instead of buying this model, save an extra $100 and buy the Insignia that is 49" 1080p, 120hz I definitely would. If you're strapped for cash and don't want to wait it is a decent tv, for the price, but it has flaws.

    Great TV for the price

Bought this on sale at a great price. it's for a bedroom TV and I only needed a basic HD TV. With having a FireStick and Chromecast hooked up, you can make it a smart TV for very cheap. Setup is very simple, the bag with handles makes it easy to pull it out of the large box. You just need a Phillips screwdriver to attach the legs and you're ready to set it up. Has 1 USB port, 1 Coaxial and 3 HDMI ports which are pretty standard, but I was actually surprised to see the component inputs for things like an older DVD/VCR etc. This is great for anyone with older style components to attach. The picture quality is great while watching Comcast at 1080 and streaming on the FireStick at 1080 as well. The customizations for video and audio are a good feature. It would be nice if it had a higher refresh rate, but for what it is, it works out fine. For a basic no-frills HDTV, you can't go wrong.

Nice TV at a great price. Be forewarned that mounting the base legs was the biggest pain I’ve ever dealt with in a TV. The screws didn’t want to thread. I recommend using WD40 or some type of lubricant to ease the process a bit.

Low end TVs are largely the same, no matter what the brand, and you can get a pretty solid TV for cheap. Now, with a TV this large, you may want to consider getting a 4k TV. But if you're not looking to upgrade your movie collection any time soon, or planning to game in 4k, or you're sitting pretty far from the TV, this is a great budget option. If you do have a TV this size and it's fairly close to where you're going to be sitting, you're going to start noticing individual pixels, which will make smaller TV's seem to have better picture quality. Always remember, the larger TV's have the same number of pixels as smaller TVs of equal resolution, so the smaller screens will look better close up.

Got this for my elderly parents. They are excited seeing the large screen in HD! Very easy to use and with enough adjustments to make the picture pop. Highly recommend!

    Wonderful color & clarity

Bought a small 24" 720 Insignia over a year ago for a bedroom. Seems like I may have tweaked the color a bit, but if I did it was very easy via the menu and I was very pleased with the outcome. The color is better than my larger 1080 Vizio. The shocker is you can see any facial bump or loose forehead hairs on the Insignia. Much sharper pic than the Visio. In the store, the pic was better than the Samsung of same size. Compare yourself.

This is a Very Wonderful Television, The Size is Exactly As Described! The Look Is Very Sharp! The Sound Is Good! The Picture Quality Can Stand Against The Big Brands. As A lot of other reviews spoke on, THE LEG'S ARE A REAL ISH TO GET ON! It Took My Partner And I Over 40 Minutes To Get Them On. I wanted to give this set a 4 1/2, Because of the leg's-But Couldn't. Oh, And The Set Up Is Very Easy!

Bought the TV for the lunch room at the office. Yes I spoil my employees and myself. I purchased the TV when it was on sale for $199 earlier this year. I use my apple tv and it does the job I would recommend it as a tv for a spare room or office. Only thing is the volume is very low so we normally have to turn it up just to hear it esp when we play movies.

When my 8-year-old Samsung TV began to lose color and detail, I knew it was time to do some research for my next TV. I wanted to go economical and I had no need for a SmartTV. I've got Apple TV and an HDMI cable. :) I've never bought anything by Insignia before, but the reviews were good, so I thought I'd give it a try. The price was perfect for my budget, also. I picked it up today and I have no complaints. Easy set up and I must say I was expecting to have some problems with attaching the TV stands, due to some reviews I read, but they were no problem at all for me to install. So, if you can pop some stands into some plastic molds and you have a Phillips screwdriver, you should have no problem. Don't let it intimidate you! One thing about the TV that it doesn't have that I wish it did, is a swivel feature, but if you must turn the TV toward a favorite chair not positioned straight in front of it, it's easy enough to turn.

Great product. Got quite a deal on it a few years ago & still going strong. Image quality isn't all that bad for the budget price. Inputs are average and as expected in this price category.

I bought this TV as a daily deal. We were disappointed when it arrived looking perfect but when you turn it on there was lines on the screen. We took it to the store and they exchanged it. It was a hassle but the new TV works great so far.

As the saying goes "You get what you pay for" I paid $200 and the quality is terrible. When watching dark movies, the black shade is pixel-ed and not very smooth. I'm already past the 15 day return window (by 2 days) and this TV sucks otherwise, I would have returned it!
