There are so many copies of the same unit on the market, and though this one adds some uniqueness, it also fails in many ways. First, there's no remote. For a large unit, I would imagine many folks may have this further into a living space, and when they are sitting on their sofa, about to flip on a movie, etc., the noise from this may be something they want to eliminate. Sounds lazy, but... Second, it sounds like a rocket ship departing on anything but levels 1 or 2. Unfortunately, levels 1 and 2 are barely different from each other, and the step to level 3 is deafening. They need to space the level more appropriately, though I may have a defective one, it's that problematic. Levels 1 and 2 are useless. The unit barely moves any air on either of them, If you set the unit to Auto, then it operates are level 1 and unless it pulls in dust within immediate proximity, it will not ramp up. Because levels 1 and 2 are so low, and I mean useless-low, it will never detect dust more than 1ft away. The good. The size isn't horrible, and the display is reasonable. You can also turn off the display for sleeping. Handles on the side are a nice touch as well, and the unit feels like it offers reasonable quality materials.

This air purifier gives literally a bang for your buck, perfect size, it over performs expectations. We are thrilled with this purchase, thank you.

This Insignia air purifier is great. It definitely cleans the air and is super quiet. We have been leaving it on "auto" and it is quiet. The higher fan settings are louder, but we havent had a need for that. I know the unit is doing its job because if i cook anything like bacon, the fan picks up and i can see the particles number increasing. I also have less dust on my coffee and end tables. We bought this as a deal of the day and cant wait for this unit to go on sale again so we can buy another for our finished basement!

I own a Levoit 400S Purifier that's used in another part of my house, and while I wouldn't say this is better than the Levoit, I will say that this does seem to be a bit more powerful at full speed. The room that this is in, the Insignia has done a great job of really making it easier and better to breath. The only two things cons that I'd like to see improved in the future from this are I think that there should be some type of Smart Phone/App functionality at this price, I also think the replacement filters are about $10 too high, but other than that it's a good product and if you capture it at deal of the day it's hard to beat.

Easy to set up, a quiet machine that gets the job done. I have been really pleased with this product. Worth the price.

Great air purifier for the price and it’s definitely great in a small setting like a kitchen or bedroom-we had an open floor with a very large kitchen/living room and we upgraded to a larger unit but this product was great for the price and would buy it again if I had a smaller house.

This purifier is quiet, has a nice digital screen that gives you an idea what's happening. (All the others I have owned just have an on/off switch). The price is reasonable and the replacement filters are both available for purchase and a reasonable price as filters go. I bought it as a gift but it seems to work better than the other brands that I have in my own home. I am definitely going to purchase this item for myself!

So far this purifier has been running smoothly and working hard. We have 2 cats, high pollen and dust in our environments. I love that it frequently will calibrate to assess new dust and allergen levels, and it will increase the speed based on the dust level. I fully was expecting this machine to have a high performance, especially for the price, the HEPA filter is well built, easy to replace and clean.

Easy to work and nice display makes no noise love it

It works as it should. I use it mostly in the kitchen and living room area. I set it to auto on. And when the quality of the air changes the unit turn on and air is cleaned in minutes. Only thing is the filter has to be changed every couple of months.. There's a blinking light that let's you it's time to change the filter.

The unit functions well. The typical indoor air quality in my home isn't terrible, but this purifier does seem to help with my allergies. Some features, though, aren't very intuitive. The display is large and legible, but what it's actually displaying has had me referring back to the manual. The same goes for the illumination of the top buttons. Overall, I would recommend this product. Just make sure to hold onto the manual.

Bought this as my son has one, and it works very well for him. Read the reviews and they’re excellent. Noticed a difference in air quality almost immediately we set it on automatic and let it run! Very quiet and very effective. Had about two months now and very pleased.

I haven't use this long enough to determine how long it will last but so far, so good. The setup is only for installing the filter and that's it. I like the auto-mode and child lock functions as my toddler always play around with buttons. But I can't seem to figure out how to use the "sleep" mode. There are 5 buttons for fan speed: Sleep, 1,2,3, and 4. I pretty much use only the 3 or 4 as speed fans 1 & 2 are almost useless. It's quiet enough for 1 & 2 but there's an annoying sound for every turn of the blade. So I end up using mostly speed fan #3 which is just like the normal sound you get for air purifier or heater. But it's a bit "loud" and 4 is much louder. I can see that most people will only use fan speed 4 when trying to move air faster in the day but not for sleeping hours. Over time, you'll get use to just speed fan#3. As for the sleep mode, as soon as I choose this setting, it just goes straight to stand-by mode. I'm not sure if this goes together with the timer. The manual does not explain how to properly use the sleep mode. There's no remote control so you'll have to get to the unit anyway to wake it up so I don't see any difference than just the power down button since if the unit is plugged in, the power button also goes to stand-by mode. The timer is self explanatory. Overall, this is still a good air purifier for its price.

This product is excellent. I have already recommend this air purifier to many different people.

The device worked good in the time I had it. It was quite and seemed to be very efficient. My biggest problem with it was that you could not dim the display lights, and when you turned it off the power light flashed constantly until turned back on. This made it unusable in our bedroom at night, which is when I want it used most. I replaced it with a Shark and that has a dimming function that will turn the display off while still operating. If this unit had that feature I would have kept it.

Great purifier, workes great easy to use as well as very light, would recomend to anyone looking for a purifier for their house or large room!

Been using it two months now and we absolutely love it! Turn it on high to knock out stron cooking / painting odors; leave it on low for all day filtering and come home to an odor free house every day.

This air filter system is a lot bigger than I expected but was super easy to setup. When turned on, it’s also very quiet. I’ve used a $300 Bissell system for the past couple of years and this is significantly quieter. I’ll be buying another one for the upstairs.

I have bad allergies and I love cats. Had 4 other air cleaners that were just not working well. I ordered this and put it in my bedroom. It is fantastic. I am sleeping better, do not wake congested and have not had to take additional medication. Quiet, works great.
