I don’t have any reason to believe that this will not do what I want it to. The only thing I wish is that you could view the videos in an app.

I’m not sure how this can be 4K. You can’t even read the license plates. Gets very hot and I suspect that’s why most of these dash cams fail sooner or later. It was relatively cheap so that’s a bonus.

Was a gift not sure of performance but so far no bad review.

This was for our older SUV that doesn’t have a built-in camera like our newer one. The front one was very easy to install, but the back one was as hard as my previous experience with this type of camera. The included cable was long enough, but hiding it was not an easy task. Other than that, it was very simple. Compared to other dashcam cameras that I used in the past, this one has a slightly better quality, but it does not look like 4K exactly. If the daylight was not super clear and the front car wasn’t close and slow enough, I couldn’t read license plates easily. At first, I thought it was compression artifacts, but my experience with video tells me that it’s an issue with image stabilization. I can say that because if my car and the car in front of me were at a stop sign or going slow on a very smooth road for example, the image was clear enough to read even small bumper stickers. The screen size is good. Any bigger could be unsafe as it would take too much viewing space on the windshield. The image looks very good despite the stabilization issue I mentioned earlier and the no-so-convincing 4K resolution. The recording function works well. Here’s hoping temperature won’t be an issue for the SD card. My main complaint here is that it does not work well at night. The images are too dark, and the stabilization issue becomes even more noticeable. However, I would still recommend it as an entry level dash cam.

Had to return the camera. Nobody could figure out how to install it. My friends are geeks but only in computers

It’s cool, but it keeps glitching and saying “no memory card installed”. So I have to keep restarting it until it stops. (Like 5x in a row).
