    Freeze came with dents on the top lid. It's an absolute eye sore. I didn't have time to take it back and attempt a replacement. Horrible experience.

    After 5 days on the max setting, the inside temperature is still above freezing. You get what you pay for I guess. Would not recommend and will be returning this ASAP.

    Is this normal? A hole in the seal?

    I inspected the product closely before using, and noticed a hole in the main seal. In my experience holes get bigger over time not smaller so maybe there shouldn't be a hole in the main seal? There is a long wait to find a freezer during the Spring of 2020 and this is the only one I have been able to get my hands on. It is small and quiet so there are a few places I can have it located in the kitchen. I am waiting on a 7 cu ft GE Garage Ready Chest Freezer that I orderer March 14th. So I guess I will keep this in the kitchen and rotate in food from the garage. A 1/4 beef (half of a half side of beef) should fit in 3 cu ft. Whatever doesn't fit will stay in the freezer side of my refrigerator (where 1/4 beef fits with no room for anything else). This little chest freezer will give me some space back in my refrigerator freezer.

    Price was reasonable...Box was in great shape, the freezer works. However, the freezer is damaged and Best Buy only offered me a $11 credit. It I wanted damaged goods I would have went to a scratch and dent.

    Delivery agents dropped it off in the back porch, there is not even a scratch on the box I was going to put it in the house myself so I wasn’t worried. Turns out it appears it was damaged before it was even put in the box at the factory, so long after I signed the paperwork I open it up and there is a big old dent in it. So disappointing. This is the second time I’ve experienced this with Best Buy appliances. I wish it would do something about it, but I expect nothing. This will be the last time I buy an appliance from Best Buy despite the delivery convenience.How was Best Buy would make it right, I tried calling but got nothing. Complete disappointment. It does work but it looks ugly. So much for being the elite customer.

    I had this same type of freezer before I had a fire in my house back in February 2019 I lost everything and had to replace my whole house I just love this freezet it's small compact and it fit in the smallest space I boughtt ths size to fit inmy kitchen beside my refrigerator

    The freezer was purchased online and picked up in store. The packaging was in perfect condition and wasn’t removed during the pick up process since it had to be driven home safely a great distance. Once home and packaging was removed the freezer was found to be completely smashed inside the untouched packaging. This is the third purchase I have made with Bestbuy as a buy online and pick up in store that has been broken.

    Maybe a defective unit

    Not sure if we received a defective unit, but ours only got very cold on the very bottom 3-4 inches. If the food was not directly touching it there, it would not get cold. Anything in any other part of the freezer was a little over room temperature at most, and this was after 2+ weeks of trying it out. Returned it and waiting for another unit to see if we got a defective one the first time around. So far, not impressed.

    Doesn't keep food frozen consistently

    I am not sure why, but this freezer does not stay cold. A few months after purchase, I went into it and some items were thawing. I had sent an email to the manufacturer through their customer service portal but never received a reply. It was during the height of stay at home order, so I knew it would take some time. But it seemed to correct itself and work again, so I did not retry to contact. I don't go into this freezer often, it's in my basement and is used for overflow food. I went down again the other day and everything was half thawed. I had to throw everything out. I would suggest keeping a thermometer in there to ensure it is keeping things cold, possibly one with an alarm. Contacted insignia again today, hopefully, they will get back to me.

    * Bought this as a back up to a GE freezer we already had. Worst purchase ever made! Ran less than 2 months and motor burnt up. Contact Best Buy and was told nothing they could do. Contacted makers of Insignia and told same by them. I had my receipt and all documentation of purchase. * I just blew $200 for a piece of junk that's not even worth putting trash in. Wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy. * You will get NO SUPPORT, NO REPLACEMENT NO REINBURSEMENT for any type of loss of the freezer or food lost, * Spend your hard earned money somewhere else.

    I bought this brand new and it had a kink in the rubber seal. I decided to try it out anyway, and sure enough it started to develop a ton of frost. The way the ice was building up it was on the side with the kink. I'm still within warranty, but when I contacted insignia about the defect, including sending a picture of the kink and a receipt, they said I needed to empty my food, load the freezer into a truck, and haul it back to best buy to validate the warranty and defect. All of that to get a replacement rubber seal that was defective and under warranty.

    This freezer is the right size for my wife and I needed due to the fact we had a large upright size freezer when we sold our home and the new owners needed one. Well we left that one there, which the new and younger owners loved, and when moving into our new home, we purchased this smaller one. This was great for just us, my wife and I!

    The good: has plenty of space and easy to use The bad: stops keeping things cold unless you turn it off and back on to reset the thing. Except you only discover this needs to be done after all your food has defrosted. Has happened 3 times, including twice in the past week.

    Bought it 2 days back looking at the reviews. What I got is a white box which kept pulling all the energy overnight and zero cooling. Moreover, I picked it up from the store and now they expect me to make another trip to the store to dump it.

    Thing seems good, if I could remove the water reserve bucket. All the packaging tape has been removed. I even removed the two frame screws thinking that may be required for first time usage. Nowhere in the instructions is difficult removal discussed. Something would break if I forced it open beyond the couple inches it opens now

    Failed after eight months

    Put this freezer in my garage where a Whirlpool 10 cu ft freezer had worked for 14 years. This one only really lasted six months until food began thawing after placed in freezer frozen. Freezer cannot keep food frozen even when only opened once per day. Finally died after eight months. The food lost was worth more than the freezer. Very disappointed.

    Seems to work well,when got it home and unboxed it,it was dented. Otherwise is doing good. Would recommend to open box before taking from the store
