Our refrigerator freezer is small so we decided to invest in this 5.0 Cubic foot freezer chest by Insignia. We saw this chest online on the Best Buy website, however, it was not on display in our Best Buy store, At first, we were hoping that it would be big enough for our extra frozen food but we decided to take a chance and make our purchase online. We only had to wait a few days until we could pick it up from the store. Surprisingly, the size is perfect! We can store our extra food and still have room. The one feature that we love is that there is a light on the inside of the lid that allows us to see into the freezer much easier. There are some freezer chests out there that do not have a light which makes it a little difficult to see everything inside. We cannot forget to mention that it does not take up a lot of space and is energy efficient. We are happy with our purchase and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for their extra frozen food storage. Kudos to Best Buy for never disappointing us with their products!

I was surprise with how much I could fit. Very compact and does an excellent job overall. Very spacious and the light is a God send. Even with it fill to capacity did not have to turn it all the way up to keep the food frozen and have not experienced frost burn. Can add extra bins and trays for organization.

This freezer is compact and has run perfectly since we bought it. It meets every need we have. For it's price it has some very surprising features like a light inside the door to help see the contents of the freezer and and adjustable thermostat.

Just the right size for the spot I had available. Inside light is very handy, lots of other models did not have that option. The best part of the whole deal was the exceptional price that I got at Best Buy. For me by myself it's got plenty of room. Overall it exceeded my expectations.

Holds a lot more than you think, has a light which is a plus, my older one did not. Doesn’t frost around the lid and seals nicely. Smooth opening and closing. Good for a smaller spaces. Fits well in the laundry room. It is not loud and has a blue light on the outside so that you can be sure it is working.

Needed freezer space for the Covid19 panic. Been considering an extra small freezer for a while now, but had to pull the trigger when this pandemic began. Bestbuy was the only place that had a 7cu sq ft or below one available out of any stores online, or local shops, that would deliver before July. Unfortunately, it was only available for delivery and I had to pay the extra $70 shipping charge, but in the time of crisis, it had to be done. Delivery was good. Left it standing for 24 hours before plugging it in. Surprisingly a lot of room for 5 sq ft. My guess is that I can put like 10 or 11 basketballs in there (if that's any frame of reference). But so far so good. Some much extra needed freezer space for my family. And it is super cold. I had to switch the dial to about half way and still it is pretty darn cold. All in all, I guess if it was an option to wait around for a better deal or not have to pay the crazy delivery, I'd have shopped around. But the freezer seems pretty good. And I'm glad I managed to get it.

This is a great little freezer! I’m able to shop at Costco and now have room to store my great finds! The reviews on this brand were great, unlike similar 5 cf freezers. And this one has a light on the inside lid! It was super easy to set up (after letting it sit upright for 24 hours to allow the refrigerant fluids to settle) and I had my special Costco treasures loaded in! We should have bought it a long time ago. It is not garage ready, so we put it in our basement. Right now, we have several lbs of chicken, ground turkey , frozen veggies, extra ice and 2- 18 lb turkeys! It has a blue light at the bottom front of the freezer to assure me it is on and working. We purchased online for curbside delivery and they rolled it out to our car and loaded it for us! My husband and I were able to get it downstairs together using a hand truck. I can’t think of anything negative to say about this little freezer! We love it!

Needed to replace an older unit that no longer cooled. This unit works good and is not very heavy. Fits thru doors easily. Price was better than any other retailer we reviewed and it was in stock at the local store. Wish all shopping went as well as this.

We have only had it for a month now but great size and price and really like the interior light. 5 cubic feet is bigger than we thought so it is more then we need but love having it. Froze quickly from start and seems to be constant. Set at half way setting and seems good.

It seems small but it can fit quite a bit! It is much lighter than I expected and we were able to get it into our basement easily. So far we are very happy with it.

Honestly, I wonder why I waited so long to get this freezer. It is perfect for what I needed to supplement my super small freezer part of my refridgerator. It's a GODsend! It's compact, doesn't make any sound, pretty innocuous really. I love it!

Works great. Not too tall or too big. Using this for breastmilk, but being an over producer I maybe should have bought the 7 cubic feet freezer.

Best freezer ever!!! I love it! Keeps things frozen, really big too so I can fit a lot in it. Temperature control dial works FANTASTIC as well!

Perfect size for my family needs. Typically we don’t freeze a lot of foods but because of this Coronavirus situation were started to stock up on frozen foods. The freezer is quiet and not that heavy. Conveniently there is a light to help find food. Best bang for your buck.

Very happy with my purchase. If you’re storing everyday groceries this baby right here will take care of ya. I don’t know about capacity if your a wild game hunter for large amounts of serious bulk storage, might need something larger. The 5.0 cft model comes with a nice handy interior LED light which is a nice touch. It’s quite and cold. Overall a good purchase. Mine came with a dent in to top cover, Best Buy did right by me though. I recommend!

i use a thermometer to keep track of temps, and this thing is always sub 0. works great. spacious, quiet. great product. doesn't self defrost, but thats probably a good thing bc that keeps temps from rising, and keeps things in deep freeze.
